Tomb Raider Legend-PSP or PS2?

Wolfpup

CAGiversary!
All things being equal, I'd rather buy the PSP version of a game than PS2...but I'm wondering if anyone has played both versions of Tomb Raider: Legend, and can tell me how they compare?

From the review, it sounds like they're pretty much the same, but you have to manually stop, hold down a button to adjust the camera, which could be annoying.

By the way, this is my "archival" copy. I played through the 360 version, but want a version I'll (hopefully) always have access too (plus it gives me an excuse to play through it again!)

I have it on the PC and can't imagine trying to play it on the PSP. I've heard that the camera sucks. The boss batles must be really tough if you can't control the camera quickly.

I've read there's some serious performance issues in most reviews online. I've also have wanted to pick this up since I only have a psp and a ds and no other systems.

Strangely, the IGN review mentions the framerate in two situations, but dosen't mention the camera really. The Gamespot review is the reverse.

I'm just not sure how big of a deal it would be. Graphically though it does look great. The screenshots look just like the 360 version, aside from the lower resolution (not that it looks "low res").

It's a REALLY good game though IMO and if I didn't have a PS2 I would buy the PSP version in a second and not worry about it...though I just don't know about the camera :(

The DS version is (not surprisingly) a different game. Sounds like it's fairly good, but the PSP version (that's a real version of the game) got better reviews.

Tomb Raider Legend and Syphon Filter were by far my two most pleasant game surprises this year. I expected nothing from either, and they're two of my very favorites.

If you can sacrifice some things for portability's sake, like a bit of glitches and weird controls, then go for the PSP version. If not, the PS2 version is the way to go.
