Veronica Mars cancelled. Noooooooooo!

I didn't see the third season but I heard it was allright. Three seasons is a good run.

I'm psyched they renewed Smallville!!
 
Frankly, I thought it was pretty weak this year. It's unfortunate that it's gone, as the cast was fantastic. Can't say I'll miss it all that much, though. The plotlines were very mediocre compared to seasons 1 and 2.

Probably due to it not being a major network. If it had been, it almost assuredly wouldn't have made it more than one season.

I'd refer you to Fox's (few) examples of keeping brillant shows around just a little bit longer such as Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Arrested Development, but those type shows that are kept are in the minority.

For every brilliant show you can name that Fox kept, I can name half a dozen they did not.

Exactly, which is why I said that those shows they kept [as opposed to cancelling] were in the minority.
 
Very sad news, I loved Veronica Mars and I was really hoping it would come back next year, even if it was the rumored Veronica Mars FBI revamp.
 
first off, as of this morning, it just wasn't on there fall lineup, and they hadn't made a final decision on it...allegedly they were going to write a script about veronica as a full blown fbi agent and decide if they wanted to go with it...2nd of all, we already have a discussion of the fall schedules going in the watercooler thread

In one of the articles I saw last week, they said that The CW has until June 15th to make a final decision. You could always hold out hope for that, though this certainly isn't promising.

QFT. I was addicted to the first two seasons and watched every episode pretty much as soon as they came out. This past season left me pretty uninterested overall, and my desire to watch them has gone downhill.
