Just got one and don't know much about the games. I've heard Road Rash, Gex and Star Control II are good, but I've already played those on other systems. Anyone have any suggestions?

Road Rash as you said.

Need for Speed is completely different from the PS version.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo is fantastic.

FIFA holds up amazingly well.

Bladeforce is probably my favorite on the console.

The Shockwave titles are a little dull now, but cheesy fun.

Twisted is perfect for mulit-player.

Return Fire for the same reason as the latter (but only for 2-players, useless for one person).

The Horde is classic.

Lots of people like Foes of Ali, though I never liked it.

Sigma E X (It's not a game, its pr0n for 3d0. Photographer boy is also good a pr0n game where u play as this photographer and keep on taking up skirts pictures for points- anyway, it's a jp game).

What must one do in order to play import 3DO games on an American system?

Edit: Ah, I found out it has no region lock-out. Sweet!

The horde is great. You need gex if you have a 3d0, it's like have a genesis and not buying sonic cause you played it on gameboy. Though get lucienne's quest, it's the only real traditional, japanese style rpg for the system. It's pretty good too.

There are a few good games for the 3DO. Picked up most of mine for $1- $3. Bought my 3DO from Best Buy when they were clearancing them out for $50. I was a cheapass back then too.

Gex (great platformer)
FIFA (still a solid soccer title)
Road Rash (good)
StarBlade (decent)
Star Fighter (decent)
Cannon Fodder (all time favorite)
Samurai Shodown (rocks)
The Horde (another good one)
Street Fighter 2 Turbo (rocks)
Star Control 2 (solid)
Battle Chess (decent)
Panzer General (played the hell out of this one)
Doom (good translation)
Wolfenstein 3D (good translation)
PGA Tour 96 (solid golf title)
PO'ed (oddball fps)
The Perfect General
Star Wars Rebel Assault
Myst (good translation of PC title)
Way of the Warrior (Bad, way Bad)
Flying Nightmares (could never figure out the control scheme)
Out of this World
Alone in the Dark
Escape from Monster Manor
Dragon Lore (3 disc) (bored the hell out of me)
Shock Wave
Shock Wave 2
Immercenary
Space Ace (good translation of arcade)
Dragon's Lair (good translation of arcade)
The Daedalus Encounter (4 disc adventure with Tia Carrere) (got stuck at very end, pissed me off abit)

Just hate the limited save space on the system. Might have to set mine up again.

Never thought of that. You always hear about copying with all the other cd based systems. Just never heard anyone doing the same for 3DO. Makes sense though. Thanks for the heads up.
NEED FOR SPEED just for the smart ass guy at the end of each race, i have been dying to find this game and demolition man
Damnnnnn, i forget all about demolition man. That game was hella tight, might of been the best one out of the game series too.

When Road Rash and Need for Speed are recommended as "must haves," you have to wonder why anybody would bother with the system at all.

Edit: Wait a second... you bumped this thread after like a year to promote your fansite? For shame.

You really can't go wrong with a live-action Kirk Cameron vehicle.

You must have never played need for speed when it launched. The game was trueley revolutionary. We're talking about when people were still playing snes and sega games and jumping to a great 3d raceing game. When it came out it had great reviews and was acknowledged as revolutionary. We've never seen a jump in graphics like that and might not for a long time.
