What does "sizing runs large" mean? Please help. ;|

I've been meaning to buy this jacket from an online store for awhile now. Anyways, It says "sizing runs large" and I have no idea what that means. So my question is: What does this mean?

If I wear a Large should I get Medium? Wear Medium get Small? I don't get it. :\ Please help! LET OUR POWERS COMBINE! :bomb:
 
i think it means sizes are bigger than normal. like an extra large from them might be the typical large.
 
They don't seem to have one. Its cartoonnetwork.com, doubt i'll get scammed. I thought i'd be quicker to ask one of you smart folk for the answer. Sizes run large confusing bastards. >:[
 
I went to www.cartoonnetwork.com

I clicked shop.

The first thing I saw on the left was "Customer Service."

Within that link there is a "Contact Us" section. Maybe you should try that. Ask what size you should order if you usually wear a medium (or whatever).

You might consider sending a measurement instead of just 'medium'- like, if you need a 35-inch around shirt, or whatever...
 
I sent them an e-mail, thought one of you would know thus giving me a quick answer.

I usually wear a large so i'm thinking I need medium. I wish they wouldn't complicate things. XP
