Someone in my office just asked me whether or not I knew what Kool Aid meant. I responded by saying you mean the big fat red pitcher of kool aid that is always busting through walls screaming "Oh yeah!"?? She said no and that it was some sore of slang for something - do any of you know what it could mean??? Thanks.

all up in the kool-aid
1. v. in someone's business. "That's between me and Brian- don't be all up in the kool-aid!"

It is usually "why you all up in my kool aid" or that's how I have heard a bunch of times. It just means they are bothering you or in your face, or business as stated.

On another forum I use we use "drink the kool-aid" to mean swallowing the "party-line" BS hook, line, and sinker.

It's a reference to the Jim Jones' led cult that committed mass suicide via cynide-laced drinks killing 900 in 1978 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/november/18/newsid_2540000/2540209.stm

So when somebody believes something foolish spouted by an authority figure - I'll leave examples to the reader - we'd say stuff like "how's that kool-aid treating you?" or "you kool-aid drinking idiots".

haha, I need to add that to my vocab now

"You dont need to be up all in my kool-aid, I know how much I am spending on video games"

edit: I have also heard of Kool-aid mentioned as in someone you are seeing, like in Jay and Silent Bob strike back, Jay says to Silent Bob, "Lay off my Kool-aid Mutha $*@#&^" Hes talkin about his girl so I guess its a different meaning too or could be associated with the first one

I say it to my girlfriend all the time and she just laughs. I knew one day my useless knowledge would come in handy.

Jesus. I have never heard of this. The best I can talk about is going "OOH YEAH!" and then try to bust through a brick wall, but most people think I'm doing an impression of the Macho Man, Randy Savage.

Family Guy right?

I hear it used not to mean business, but romantic prospects, ie:

If someone is hitting on a particular person at a party, then some onestarts to hit on the same person that is "Putting your ****(man parts) in some one else's Kool Aide."

Well, that used to be how it was used, it has been tabled in my cirlce of friends ever since some literally "put thier **** in some one esle's Kool-Aide" - Ahh, 4 in the morning at a 24 hour restaraunt leads to strange behavior...
