What Was The Worst DS Game You Played/Own?
Kirby: Canvas Curse was the worst DS game I've ever played/owned!
::heart breaks:: God, I loved that game so much!!

But hey, that's your opinion :)
Can you explain why if you don't mind me asking?

The worst game I've owned I guess was Lost Magic. I just couldn't get myself into it.. no matter how hard I tried. It is interesting, and maybe when I see it sometime on a Circuit City clearence for $8.96 I'll pick it up and try again ;)

Just wasn't worth $30. Even though the wi-fi was interesting.. But yeah for me I'd say Lost Magic.

GAH! :speaktothehand:

It's a masterpiece!

Kirby CC, was like that guy said about lost magic. I couldnt get into it. Just expected more, i guess.

I'd say Lunar was pretty bad, although I dunno if it was the worst (A lot of the CC games I picked up are pretty mediocre though)

Lunar is the only I have first hand experience with, but I would have to reckon that something from EA like Marvel Nemesis would have to be the worst.

Lunar was miserable though.

Its a tie between Spiderman 2 and Yoshi's Touch and Go. Spiderman had way to crappy a level layout, crappy collision detection, cheap AI, etc. YT&G was alright, but like so many have said, it just feels like a tech demo.

nothing gets worse than Elf Bowling 1 & 2... nothing...

all you do is tap the screen, and there's not even a high score list. the little play you get to do is boring, and it yields no results. fun times.
Kirby: Canvas Curse was the worst DS game I've ever played/owned!
...WHAT ? :shock::???::whistle2:(

as for me? Pac Pix. I liked it okay, and I didn't hate it by any means, it's just that I like all the other DS games I've played more than it.

Mario Kart DS

Screw that Blue Shell. All it does is enable the guy way in the back with no chance of competing to ruin a good race for the lead between even competitors.

Snaking ruined the game for me afterwards.

Hands getting destroyed for being uncomfortable from the technique did not help the issue.

It's gotta be neck and neck for me between Sprung (at least I got it cheap) and Yoshi Touch and Go. I can't believe I paid full price for a glorified tech demo :(
Feel the Magic
go shoot yourself (yeah, i'm a ftm fanboy)

Worst game would have to be retro atari. got boring after 5 min...

Wow, most of you guys haven't played a bad DS game if you're saying Lost Magic, Kirby, and Feel the Magic. It's a toss up between Lunar and Sprung for me.

Three reasons why Lunar sucks.

1. Your characters are retardly slow. Thankfully you can run. Of course, your health points drain when you run so you're stuck walking at the speed of molasses.

2. All of the missions in the game require you to collect objects from monsters after beating them (iron, berries, wood, etc). Of course, the game has two different modes. In one mode, you can gain items, but you don't collect experience. In the other, you don't gain items. Essentially, the game makes you play twice as much as you can't level your characters while collecting objects for missions.

3. You know how when you encounter an enemy in a turn based RPG you're taken to a battle menu? Lunar decides to cut all of the strategy out of battle by giving you main commands, fight and magic. This wouldn't be so bad if you could target enemies. That's right. When you choose to attack, you can't pick what monster your character attacks. There goes all strategy from every battle in the game.

If it wasn't called Lunar, it'd be hailed as the absolute worst DS game, and possibly the most terrible RPG of all time.

Electroplankton.

Which should tell you that I have an excellent collection. Since I only paid 20 for it, I don't mind just having it as a tech demo. The only other game I regret really is Animal Crossing...I used the BB coupon to get it, when if I had gotten Trauma Center or Castlevania I would probably have been happier...

But every other game I have kicks total ass.
I might be the only one here who thinks so, but Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow was pretty bad for me.
Yeah but you're an idiot so who cares really?
hows SW:ROTS for the DS?
Surprisingly good if you like side-scrolling beat 'em ups. The flying missions are the real highlight though. I'm hoping Star Fox DS is as good as the flying missions in SW RotS were.

Toss up between Yoshi's Touch & Go and Polarium for me. Personally, I thought Sprung was a well crafted game aside from a couple of show-stopping puzzles, but I'm a fan of old PC point 'n click adventure games, so I can appreciate a good game whose gameplay consists nearly solely of dialogue.
it's a tie between Ping Pals and Yoshi's Touch and Go
When I read the topic, my first thought was Yoshi, but that was because I had forgotten all about Ping Pals. There is no question, Ping Pals was definitely less enjoyable than Yoshi. Yoshi, on the other hand, was more of a disappointment. I was actually expecting a good game with Yoshi (bought new when it came out), whereas I was pretty sure that Ping Pals would suck (yet I was still expecting it to be better than it was).

But, Ping Pals is the worst "game" that I've played on the DS.

For me it's a toss up between Tetris DS and the New Super Mario Bros.... huh? oh you said worst games... sorry.

I wanted so bad for Ping Pals to be awesome, but it just wouldn't... and I took it back. I wouldn't even call that a game. It was more like, they literally took a piece of shit, wrapped it in a box with colorful pictures on it, and tried to sell it for $29.99. Nintendo used to have a seal of quality on their games, and would only allow some developers to use the shells if they were licensed. Case in point the old Tengen games like Gauntlet for the NES. This game is a serious proponent for its reintroduction. Good grief what a piece of shit. Another thing stinking up the room is Elf Bowling

I honestly don't own any crap games...so I'm pulling from my cousin's collection here. Pokemon Dash - what a piece of shit. They had like 20 of those at my CC as of yesterday, $8.96 sale and all. Tells you something.

Worst thing I played was Sonic Rush. It wasn't necessarily a bad game, but it wasn't very good either... it had no legitimate attempts at platforming and the boss fights were pretty crappy.

Incredibles Rise of the Underminer was totally lame. It was short, no moves, and you had to change between characters in the middle off game play. No wonder it was only $10. My 3 year old was able to beat half the game.

Animal Crossing... I just thought the game was pointless and a waste of the 20 hours of my life I tried to get into it. Im probly the only one who thinks this though.

Polarium: Boring, Boring, Boring. Everything about it is bleh.

Spider-Man 2: Bad level design, hit detection, and grading system. The grades thing pi$$es me off the most, as time is factored into it and you have to scour huge levels for the main objectives. I've had times where I completed all of the main objectives, but my time causes a "D" grade.

Star Wars Episode 3 is good if you like Final Fight/Streets of Rage, etc.

I guess I have to say Brain Age... but it's still good.

I only have:
- New Super Mario
- Mario Kart
- Brain Age

So...ya...

yoshi touch & go. I just don't feel like I'm doing anything in the game. it's like one of those 2-minute flash-based games you find on the internets, but it could've been so much more.
Feel the Magic
the thing about 'feel the magic' for me... it was the very first game I bought when I got my ds @ target for $99. so I played it, and nothing else, everyday for 2 weeks because the whole touchscreen thing was such a cool novelty at that point, and I loved every minute. but now I can't stand it.

Lunar DS, amongst a field of IMO good DS games I own (Advance Wars DS, Trauma Center, Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64, Metroid Prime Hunters, Trace Memory, Castlevania DOS, Nintendogs, Feel the Magic, New Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing WW, Resident Evil DS) it stands out as the sole stinker.

Well I just entered the world of DS games when I got my lite a couple weeks ago, and Ive tried to only buy good games for it so far, but my biggest dissapointment so far has to be Tetris DS.

Reason why Tetris DS sucks.
- 5 piece preview windows you cant turn off.
- Cant see the new piece when it first leaves the preview window and enters the playfield
- Has the infinite spin glitch, which means the game is broken.
- Gameplay just doesnt feel right, Ive played better controlling Tetris on a cellphone.

all the Nintendo fan service is great, but it cant mask the broken, shit gameplay.

I only own WarioWare, NSMB, Mario Kart, and Brain Age (as soon as I get to CC, add Advance Wars to that). So out of those the worst, in my opinion, is Brain Age. But it is not a bad game at all, just the worst I have.

I tried Burnout at a gamecrazy, just to see how bad it was, and wow, is it bad. objects and cars pop up all around you, the graphics just suck ass. When i crashed, there were peices that came off the car, but all they did was float in various directions, into the sky, through the ground, whatever. The controls have about a second delay from what you push to what happens on the screen. I tested this by quickly pushing left and right alternating, and the car didn't turn either way the slightest bit.

Burnout DS Sucks.

The worst game I've owned was Yoshi Touch and Go, and the worst game i own now is Big Brain Academy.

Star Wars: Ep3 for DS was one of my favorite DS games, and i'm not even much into star wars. It feels like the old TMNT sidescrollers, but the jedi powers and controls reminded me of what a 2D devil may cry on the SNES might have been like. There are also one on one duels that are very challenging.. some might be frustrated, but I thought they were fun. The music is really well done on the DS (not midi typee, it's recorded audio), and the 3D flying stages are great too. I wish I would have picked this one up at the CC sale (regretting trading it in), I passed it over for a GBA game, and now it's sold out.
