I bought San Andreas from Bestbuy on Tuesday and got Hitman 2 for $4.99 but I really wanted Manhunt. I just called up Bestbuy and they have one Manhunt in stock and they are going to hold it for me to exchange. I was just wanting to see which game any of you would rather have out of the two.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I havent played hitman 2 yet, but I did enjoy Manhunt... it starts out slowly, but once you are able to use guns and better weapons than glass shards, it is great. There are certain areas that had me real nervous

Not only that, if you have a headset, it is compatible with that too... can hear the director directly in your ears

thats because it was more creeping than anything. I hated that too but later on i got hooked while using the Socom mic. Play with some friends in the dark and have them make jokes and it will be fun.

i liked man hunt.. even though it gets repitative..

i did enjoy hitman also... but in the end i'd say its close but i'm a fan of rockstar (sensless violence in games ) so i'd go with manhunt.

Hitman 2 is better IMO, if you want to get Manhunt, check out the Rockstar Outpost Deal Manhunt for PS2 is $14.99, Xbox Version is $12.99.

Manhunt was one of the most impressionable games ever for me- honestly one of the best horrific immersive experiences I've ever had the pleasure of. The atmosphere and innovation makes up for the steep learning curve and slow pace at the beginning. If youre at all interested in horror or stealth this game cannot be missed. It aint no splinter cell.

Hitman2 is a fantastic game, great freedom of choice in that the levels are so open ended and there are so many ways to go about a mission. The mechanics leave something to be desired but its all worth it for the ragdollz!!

Get them both really- 2 of the very best 3rd person shooters out there- ever.

Hitman 2 has much better stealth, Manhunt has much better shooting. Overall they are pretty close, both fantastic.

I actually didn't even like the stealth in Manhunt much, but most shooting levels are entirely shooting and most stealth levels entirely stealth. I just used my brothers save to play only the shooting levels.

Manhunt is Ok. I like Hitman 2 better.

Doubt you're going to be playing either one any time soon if you've got GTA:SA, though.
Hitman 2.

Are both games $4.99 at Best Buy? I don't remember seeing them on the previous list.

No. You get a GH for 4.99

Though Manhunt isn't a GH.
I think I saw a GH copy of Manhunt when I was at BB last week.

the story of manhunt sucks, the ending sucks. one small scene of the ending... it sucks. when u start the game, u know how it will end. manhunt is too much waiting.... but u have to be patient. the underground train station took me pretty long to beat it. it did pissed me off.

They're both pretty equal games in their own rights. On the one hand Manhunt is terribly dark and serious- don't let the gore levels throw you off as a gimmick- Rockstar knew what they were doing with this one. The stealth is fantastic and as Polly said, it definitely isn't Splinter Cell.

Hitman 2 is also fantastic- the storytelling is top-notch for what it could be, and the voice acting is superb as well. The stealthing around aspect works for awhile but I always found it to be a bitch when you'd be wearing a radiation suit or something and someone could still tell you weren't one of them. You could be Waldo dressed up at a Where's Waldo party and someone would still know you weren't Waldo.
Don't let that throw you off though- there are levels where it's best just to go in, Ballers blazing, and let the ragdolls do the rest.

Both games are pretty equal but feel totally different. I'd get both if they were as low as you found them, fantastic games that any stealth-respecting gamer should own.

Hitman 2 blows. I just got Manhunt today, and have been playing it for a solid 4 hours. That time alone has shown me that it's a million times better. Manhunt is actually fun, unlike Hitman 2 and it's constant lackluster gameplay/story/everything about the stupid game!

Manhunt is a perfect short-experience game. It does not have huge longevity. I think this is in its favor . . . I loved it and moved on.

The tension is great . . . the feel is very, very, very gritty.

I loved it!

Manhunt was a great game. I really enjoyed the game and the tripped out ending. Very graphic in language and violence.

Hitman 2 is another good title that give you more freedom than Manhunt. Manhunt has a linear game play style and hitman lets you beat the levels any way you want which is cool. I have not yet finished Hitman 2 but from what I played it was a fun game.

I would vote Manhunt as I enjoyed it more to the point where I played it until I finished it.

Although it's too late, I vote for Manhunt. I have played both and got into Manhunt and played it alot longer than Hitman 2. I plan to go back to Hitman 2 thoug and Manhunt eventually.

The underground train station took me a few more times to beat it then I should have, I just kept taking the wrong tactics there, trying to pick off the men one by one... later realized there was a route to the left I KEPT overlooking, over and over... but i liked the game alot

It doesnt hold a candle to Splinter Cell, but it still is a great game...

Hitman 2 is fun, but I beat it pretty easily. Manhunt is ok, but tedious and often boring. I personally go with something different than these two games. If I had to choose though, I guess I would go with Hitman 2

Like someone said in an earlier post, once you get the guns in Manhunt it gets incredibly fun. There is some boredom going through the first few levels but once the guns come into play it rocks.
