Help: Looking for Super Mario Bros (NES) Wii Virtual Console code [gift]

I want to purchase Super Mario Bros (NES) for a Wii owner (not WiiU). 

I tried buying it through my Wii with my existing points but since I own it already, the store wont let me buy it again. 

I looked on Amazon for a code, but can't find it there. 

I checked Gamestop.com, and they have a code, but the description says 3ds only. 

So, my question:

Does anybody know if the 3ds code will work on the Wii?; OR,

Anybody know where I can purchase a code to gift to a Wii owner?

I'm fairly certain the 3DS code will only work for the handheld, sadly.

Even though it is last minute your best bet (I tell this to a lot of CAGs) is to check the threads in the trading section of the forums.

Maybe another CAG has one for sale or trade. You could start a thread asking for it in your topic title, ie: Want Mario Bros Wii Code Have: PayPal etc but be sure to read the forum rules first.

I believe you have to have 25 posts to start a thread, and if you have little to no feedback as far as trades or sales go you'll have to pay first then get the code. Which shouldn't take long as it could be private messaged to you here on CAG.

That would be the best route that I know of. Maybe kick someone an extra couple bucks for their trouble.
