Pro Wrestling discussion topic--WWE, AEW, ROH, Impact, New Japan, indies

That Raw crowd can go fuck themselves and rot in shit for not reacting to a Demolition mention. Also that Ascension promo made Reigns look like Billy Graham. The announcers didn't help completely burying them during their match.
Corpus Christi crowds make Baltimore crowds looks like '97 ECW at the Hammerstein.

The pain from the loss of SummerSlam in LA has been assuaged with the announcement that Hell in a Cell 2015 will be held at Staples Center. HIAC is one of the few match types I have yet to witness in person.

Ok, Myke.

I'm thrilled that St Louis is getting a PPV in 2015. I was a little worried after the light showing at Survivor Series due to the Ferguson unrest that we'd have to wait until at least 2016 for the WWE to come back.

I didn't know that is what happened to his career. Honestly, he looks old most nights when he goes out there. He can't even put Los Matadores over...

They really need to make him speak Klingon or something and get him a translator. There are just too many guys that are better in the ring and on the mic.
Unless he gains 120 lbs of fat, I don't think he'll end up being Umaga II.

Edit: Or Yumanga II.

Also, I forgot to mention, WK9 was so damn good I ordered a Bullet Club shirt today. My first wrestling T-Shirt since I was in High School during the DX days.

I've been rewatching the whole show in English and I'm amazed at how good JR and Striker are. Ross takes a match to get into it, but they gelled so perfectly here.  Hopefully, GFW brings this team back for the G1 Climax finals and AAA TripleMania this year. I'm very interested in hearing Josh Barnett and Ranallo do NJPW commentary on AXS too. LOVE the ref freaking out during the AJ-Naito finish.

You were one of those kids who wore a D-X shirt in high school? I bet you were swimming in the you-know-what.

It's funny you say that, because people were SHITTING on JR for comparing NJPW guys to WWE talents -- yet they missed the point of his inclusion, which was to familiarize a new audience with what they were seeing.

JR and Striker were wise to do that since THE WHOLE GOAL HERE IS TO EXPOSE NEW FANS TO THE GUYS. It's like when WCW had New Japan folks on - always treat it like folks haven't seen guys to give them someone to instantly compare them to.

I don't talk in this thread ever but I would like to see no winner of the rumble this year.

Have reigns, bryan, and ambrose be the final 3. Have them all get elimanated together or have the authority have them beat down. No winner.

Have Cena beat brock and then have brock go fucking insane and beat him into a bloody stump. Then a curb stomp later and we have Rollins as the new champ.

The authority now wanting to give bryan, reigns, or ambrose an easy path to Rollins makes them have to wrestle 3 matches at wrestlemania in order to get Rollins. Sort of a tournament.

Ambrose vs Ziggler, Reigns vs Cena, Bryan vs Hunter/Authority Headhunter. The winners would be Ambrose, Bryan, and Reigns.

Winners advance to triple threat match to determine who will face Rollins.

This allows for vince to see who the crowd is rooting for this night. It will (i done correctly) allow for Reigns to be built up in one night. Like Jericho was when he became the undisputed champ. That is if the idea is still to put the strap on him. It would be better than simply beating lesnar. I don't see a reigns/lesnar match being a great match at all.

Just a thought. You guys can tell me i'm stupid now.

Colt Cabana's podcast with Bullet Club (Gallows and Anderson) is hands down the funniest thing I've listened to in ages. I'd love to go hang out until 4AM, doing shots and getting shithouse drunk with those two.

Also: have zero recollection of seeing Anderson come of age in the Cincinnati indy scene in the early 2000's (small as it was), but evidently that's his background. Huh. I do remember a dude named Derek Neikirk, however, who gave him a concussion early on in Anderson's career. Neikirk was the drizzling, man. Ugh.

I have seen Karl Anderson wrestle for a local indy in Indianapolis a few times years ago. He was wrestling under the name Chad Allegra back then. Always thought he was a standout when I had seen him back then and he has done quite well for himself since becoming "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson.

why keep brock under contract for another 2 months though if they went that way. people keep saying taker is coming back at WM, i say why not bring him back for the rumble, win the rumble, brock vs taker at WM. Taker wins the title for the final time, dude cashes in the title and beats the injured taker.

Rollins comes out with brock both bragging on how they beat undertaker at wm, Lights go out , in the middle of the ring is taker tombstones both of them, There is a coffin at ringside, tosses in both brock and rollins and buries them both with the title but rollins gets out at the last second

new title is shown the following week and we never see brock again

Destination America has been added to Hulu. I don't know if that means Impact Wrestling is getting added too, but it would be a good thing for TNA to be on Hulu.

There is one word for TNA's return to TV - disaster. Things started off with a hype video that was a bit too busy, and then we got a clusterfuck of a brawl, a bad Angle-MVP match, a weird Tenay-Storm interview, a bad tag title match, and throughout all this, random shots of walls and corners to set up backstage promos. JB ate a beating from EC3 and Tyrus while Spud watched him get his head shaved. Aries and Ki did their bless to excite people. God bless them - they tried. Aries won a good match to win the title. Velvet Sky could've died taking a bump in the battle royal, and we got AWESOME KONG'S RETURN at a time when she can't work much due to back injuries. Roode-Lashley III never really got going until the highspots, and then everything was negated with the heel turns of Low Ki, Joe, and EY. fuck TNA.

I remember hearing something about TNA wanting to be available on Hulu Plus. I hope it gets added because I would actually watch it again if it were on Hulu Plus. I didn't see the debut for Destination America last night, but it seemed pretty by the numbers for TNA and aside from the cosmetic change to the presentation it seemed like the same product that was dying on Spike. I heard Josh Matthews did well on commentary and Awesome Kong returned which definitely has me interested in watching the show. One thing TNA has always done right is the Knockouts Division. They have consistently had excellent women who can really work and put on a good match and the title actually fells like it means something unlike the Divas title. NXT and TNA undestand how to do a women's division and make it entertaining. WWE knows how to promote a reality show whose main demographic probably doesn't care about the in-ring product and most probably don't even like wrestling.

Only good thing about Impact last night was the censors trying to bleep out the STFU chants with Angle and MVP. I was laughing so hard from that.

It was hard to hear MVP's promo between the censorship of that chant and the ones I mentioned before.

Did anyone else experience really shitty video quality? I checked on both of my DirecTV HD DVRs and had the same issue. Looked like the show was going at the wrong speed sometimes; like there was a visual filter.

This is hilarious.

The Vigilant Christian has done other videos that are equally stupid and ridiculous as well such as one that claims WWE used The Ultimate Warrior as a blood sacrifice.

So many eyes inside eyes and pyramids. They are obviously receiving secret knowledge from the Fallen Angels (Christopher Daniels?).

I think (?) this is okay to link to: The Irish TV documentary on Fergal Devitt. Features more nutsack in 5 minutes than I ever recall seeing in pro wrestling. Worth watching, and now I'm kinda determined to hit the town for a Bullet Club afterparty.
Excellent documentary on Devitt. I watched it after it aired and linked it on here, but both the links I posted were taken down before anyone was able to check them out.

Daniel Bryan makes his televised in-ring return on next Thursday's Smackdown.

New announce teams:

Raw- Cole/JBL/Booker T
SD- Cole/Lawler/Byron Saxton

I actually liked Tom Phillips.

a) Barry Horowitz is delusional if he thinks he's more over in pop culture than Action Bronson

b) Vince was responsible for Horowitz overt Jewishness on tv, including "Hava Nagila" as entrance music. Because OF COURSE VINCE.

fucking hell, man.
Barry Horowitz should return as a manager and lead a stable of jobbers in the WWE and they should all come out to "Hava Nagila".

Prior to this I had never heard of Action Bronson. After attempting to listen to that song, I know why.

The only way the leadership of said faction could be truly established would have to be a Horowitz vs. Whippleman "Menorah on a Pole" match.

Somebody call Russo this needs to be booked!

EDIT: The special referee should be Judy Bagwell on a fork lift, holding a bottle of Viagra.

SUFFERING SUCCOTASH is the material written for Roman Reigns nothing but donkey dung. fucker's doomed with that stuff, and that means the company's doomed too. At least we'll get more solid Usos tag title matches and...poor uses of Barrett. At least they've got strong pay per view numbers, okay, how about the Network...I'm not really bullish on the company's future right now. Dean as a Ricky Morton-style tag worker was shockingly great tonight.

You'd think with all that Illuminati Brainwashing Power they'd be drawing higher ratings.

Whoever wrote that for him...yeesh. But I think he did fine delivering it. IWC reaction to his promos that I've been reading seems to be overblown but what else is new.

I think Sasha Banks is the first 'diva' that I've found in years that makes my jaw hit the floor like I'm a fuckin' Tex Avery cartoon.

Ol' redhead is cute, too, I suppose. But is she even on Raw/Smackdown?

Bloody shame that the only wrestler in the bunch is Natalya.

I guess I am in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed the Impact show last night, aside from the Russo-esque ending.
I agree with you. Aside from some lighting and camera issues, that was a good show - certainly better than Raw.

And you guys are going to show and talk about Diva butts and not mention Lana, a woman who moons people before she even walks to the ring??

And for the NSFW crowd:

Remember, you can't spell "lana" without "anal".
