Just wanted to mention some shockers so far. I didnt notice anyone taking the falcons, but ballsy call on anyone who took the bears, looks like the bears will take that game.

bad luck on the chiefs, who would have guess buffalo would have any skill?

and the bangle and browns game is a nail biter, good luck to everyone who picked browns.
 
Lol @ all the people that picked the Chiefs. The Chiefs looked so horrendously bad in the preseason that I had to take Buffalo.

I picked the Falcons on a whim, then later looked up the predictions and found posative information for the Falcons so I was excited... now I hate the Falcons. :bomb:
 
Tried to get in on this contest but I couldn't post b/c I'm a brand new member. I sent in my pick through the contact forum (I selected "registration problems"), but I don't think anyone received it because Ackbar didn't have me on the main list. I sent it in well before the deadline.
 
Well, that was quick and painful. Way to show up, KC. Nice week for those of you who survived Week 1; lots of us done right away with the Chiefs and Browns getting spanked.

Rough week for me. Besides being done already here, my Steelers got their asses handed to them, and my fantasy team is getting killed, too. At least football-wise, it can only get better from here :lol:

Thanks very much for running this again, Admiral. Hope I can hang around a little longer next year.
 
You know, it was so easy to talk myself into picking the Browns given that they were at home, with a great fanbase, against a team with no quarterback.

Next year I'm going with the easy picks early. I'll deal with mediocre teams further down the road.

Yup some definite upsets this week. Add redskins over the giants to the list.

Im watching and hoping the Jets can pull ahead in the second half or im out as well.

Yep. I picked Arizona and I thought I was gonna go out in the first week for the second straight year. Last year, I picked San Diego and they were upset by KC.
 
Something I have learned about playing this style of a football pool for years and years is that never go for a homerun at the start of the season. Always just get on base first. Otherwise you are going to go home before it started. Thank goodness the Chargers pulled through yesterday.
 
On a more positive, real life football note: at least the Saints haven't lost any ground on their divisional rivals, since we're the only division not to have won a game. LOL.
 
It's what I get for picking with my heart instead of my common sense... the Brownies have always let me down in the clutch. :bomb:

Yesterday, the Browns were the real Bungles.

couple of shockerz this week. Anyone know teh deal wif Carson Palmer. He retired, or he checked in.
lolz the owner dude n him playin a game of chicken. Pretty crazy if he left 11mil on the table if he did not report in that deadline.

When you have millions at home, it's easier to leave millions on the table. He'd be stuck playing for Cinncinati where he doesn't want to be. Same problem came with Barry Sanders and he decided to retire instead of playing football for Detroit. If anything would change it has to before week 6. If Palmer did check in, the team could suspend him with pay.
