I really want to try out Gnomoria but my backlog says wait for the finished game to be bundled. Where is Motoki with an opinion when you need him?
Gnomoria was an IndieGameStand deal. Much cheaper.

Also, I think this is a good time to craft badges. People have finally caught onto how pointless crafting badges is and card prices are tanking across the board. Selling my Ares cards is pretty damn pointless, so I'm just gonna craft an Ares badge.

If you're interested in trading Ares cards with me (I'm sure I'll get doubles, with my luck), PM me.

Had to go to the dentist, sorry for the late update. Doesn't look like I missed anything important, but did notice a ton of old sales got left in the OP. If anyone happens to notice a miscellaneous sale has ended, I'd be grateful if you let me know so I can remove it :)

So people buying games for cards, buying other cards to resell, Valve changing the rules to let anyone get foils, more games getting added, people panicking and trying to sell now causing other people to sell now...

all sounds like something I would call a crash. And I would probably not peg the true value of most cards at what it currently is.
I sold all my cards and started investing in a more stable market.

muti-hued-tulips.jpg.pagespeed.ce.RavJQWVFBN.jpg
Ooh, nice reference. I learned about this during a rare moment when History was showing something other than Alien Conspiracies or Pawn Stars.

I have a Dutch friend from Mars who's an expert on tulips...

Actually, this gives me a brilliant idea.  Steam Card Futures.  You guys pay me 30¢ each now for my Sang-Froid cards.  Then, when Steam adds cards to Sang-Froid, I'll give them to you and you can probably sell them for 60¢ each and make 100% profit, plus the money you make off your own cards.  Space is limited so get in on this now.

Hope you're doing OK after the visit to the dentist.

BTW, I can't seem to find the option to update the first post. Is that just because I'm a dummy? Or is there no wiki function for the first post after the switch to CAG 3.0?

EDIT: Don't wanna make a separate post, so I'll just tack this on here. Can somebody do me a favor? Like this post, then wait 10 seconds and unlike the post. I wanna see if I get 2 separate notifications, or if the first one just gets deleted after you unlike the post. I'm curious how it would look to the other user if I changed my mind and unliked a post.

EDIT #2: Thanks Mooby & travathian. I got one notification that you liked it, but no second notification that it had been unliked. That answers that question.

No cable included. I would be very interested except for two things: I'm hoping it'll hit 75% off soon, and I want to use my Steam wallet to buy it. This card scam is working.

I already have the cable from owning it on PS3 but the load times are abominable. Hoping that installing it on an ssd makes it playable.

Not sure if being sarcastic or not, but doing I'm fine thanks for your concern :)

And to answer your question, no there does not appear to be any option for wikis in CAG 3.0, at least not yet. I am hoping the option is added soon, but until then I am doing my best to keep the OP and thread title updated.

It's really a shame, because updating that OP was really the only responsibility I had in the afternoons.

Now all I have left is drinking malt liquor and crying.

On the subject of the market "crashing," I agree with senor eldred. While the initial burst of cards was met with a frantic market, we knew it couldn't last that way. Remember how we couldn't believe people were actually paying several dollars for something with no practical value? Eventually, people were going to realize that the viable exchange rate of the cards is not $1 and up. So while we may have had a good run the first week, common sense is starting to correct the market value at a quicker pace than before, to the point where I wouldn't expect to sell cards for over $.50 at all. The market seems to have decided that $.30-.40 is the sweet spot for buying cards. If that's the case, I don't mind getting a free buck for idling a game I already own.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I've been waiting for a combination of $10 price point and credit at wherever it was on sale. This will work just fine.

Last couple of days all the Puppygames stuff (Revenge of the Titans, Droid Assault, Titan Attack, etc.) have been getting registry updates.  First I thought it might be for the Humble Weekly but that's come and gone.  Maybe the next weekly, or daily, or.... caaaaaaaaardzzzzzzzzz.

How to get an Unepic Steam Key if you bought the July Jubilee Indie Royal Bundle:

1) Download the game from your Indie Royale Page or on Desura using the Desura key.
2) Open the game, click the "sign up" button in the top right and input your email.
3) The game asks you to put in a password it has sent out theoretically. In reality, it wants your serial key.
4) Your serial key isn't the Desura key on your Indie Royale Page, use the "ingame items" key that starts with iroa from your Indie Royale page.
5) After putting in your key, go here and use the account you just registered to log in: http://www.unepicgame.com/en/myzone.php
6) Click the "request steam key" button. If it goes through, you've got your key. If not, you have to wait for another key dump. The developer gets them in limited quantities and has had to request more multiple times.
Dr. Sass Quash posted a method earlier that doesn't require downloading and playing it but thank you anyway, Your Majesty.

Hey kids,

If you bought the Indie Royale July Jubilee bundle, you can now get a Steam key for UnEpic by going here:

http://www.unepicgame.com/en/myzone.php

Just input your email and the key from the In Game Items box.

Loch Ness Monster: I'm comin' for that #1 spot, ya slimy-azz jive-azz mark. Chupacabra, if you like suckin' goat blood so much why don't you suck mah balls?

Now back to your unadulterated non-stop trading card talk.

I don't think that's quite the case. The games that arn't on sale that not tens of thousands of people have (ex. not Trine 2), cards can go for $1-$3 still. It all seems to depend on how much the game costs at the time, if alot of people have it and how many card drops you can get from it

edit: sold a couple of my defenders quests cards for $0.90 - $1.50 a couple hours ago

While that was true for Defender's Quest the Monaco cards are selling pretty low (50-70) for a game that hasn't been on sale and few people have (maybe 20ish cards of each kind listed).

If I had the money to go around doing weird things, I'd spend $18.53 to buy the entire stock of CommanderVideo cards and reprice them all at $5 or so.

Just as an experiment.

Yeah I got creamed on They Bleed Pixels cards, only made like $1.80 out of the $3.60 it cost me with tax, but that's still better than any sale price it'll have outside a bundle.

I considered cornering the market on Monaco cards... but only for about five seconds.

No, I know it is, and I'm happy with it. The game is pretty cool and I'm even going to actually play it. I'm just saying, the days of free-after-cards games are definitely over.

Yeah, that would only work if no one else was going to get any drops from the game. Without the leveling up incentive and with so many games on the market, there's little incentive for people to collect cards/craft badges for a lot games. Monaco cards are rarer, but even rarer is someone trying to craft a Monaco badge so people keep dropping the price.

My foil has yet to sell due to the crash :( And only two total of it have sold so far, one for .92 cents...lol

If I get another foil in the future I'll probably just slap it up there for $10 and hope someone grabs it quick. Granted that might start the price crash early but I'd rather some foil collector act fast on it than sit there over four or five hours and keep incrementally decreasing the price by $5 (from the ludicrous starting ranges of $40+) and not have it sell until the prices crash to like $5 like they are with a lot of the foils for today's games.

Indeed. I think most of us had the feeling that there would be an initial mania and the fad would pass after a week or so and the hardcore collector's would sit and wait for people to panic and prices to drop. I can't complain, though, I pretty much made enough to cover what I usually spend during the major sales.

The Free-After-Cards Triumph was the best thing to ever happen to Steam CAGs. Fact: We should all chase the dragon to pay our respects.

$2.29 out of $3.39 here, making the price as a magic $1.

I'm really glad that I bought that game, because I had it on my wishlist since it has been added on Steam. I already managed to complete two chapters of the first dream and I'm suprised by the difficulty. I completed Super Meat Boy's light world, went through the half of the dark world and then my saved vanished, but They Bleed Pixels is a challenge for me despite early progression in the game. On top of this, the style and aesthetics are wonderful.

I highly recommend getting TBP sooner rather than later.

I ended up paying about $1.50 out of pocket for They Bleed Pixels, which is a fantastic buy price on a great game - since as yet they don't seem interested in bundling. At this points cards are a nice supplemental, which I'm fine with.

There's a couple Triple Town foils where no one is willing to go under $30 on them. Which means no one is buying ANY foils since no one is going to drop $10 on Foil A and $35 on Foil B. I've stopped lowering my own card price at around $16 because there's no sense in going lower. Eventually (hopefully) the $35 people will wise up and the price will hit a lower overall ceiling -- if that's $10 or so, I don't want to be the guy who put his on $2 fire sale.

Doesn't help that it's a ten card set. Also, hallelujah -- when I just looked, the the ceiling is now $22 instead. Still too much but at least someone is getting smarter.

Ugh. Steam is severely screwed up right now. No games released post 2011 or so are showing up on the site or app.

I almost want to believe the summer sale is about to start even though it early. Usually they save these kinds off issues for the first few days of the sale.

Yeah I thought that was weird too. Looks like their database got rolled back or something. Obviously, everything is still there, but nothing is showing up in search or the homepage tabs.

EDIT: Annnd we're back!

? posting daily in steam thread, linking to steam... where do you think this is a daily for?

My "Go Amazon" Reference is in relation to the fact that right now you can get SSZ in a $10 pack with 4 others games (and then credit for 3 more games for free). Here: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/301469-amazon-pcdd-indie-store-launch-new-indie-bundles-deal-of-the-week/
My mistake, I read "Go Amazon" as a sarcastic remark considering the tone of what you said prior to it. Figured there was a mistake on Amazon's side, or coincidence that both Steam and Amazon were pulling the same deal.

The problem with your logic AK, is that Strike Suit Zero doesn't have Caaaaarrrrrddddzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. You gotta get Strike Suit Infinity if you want Caaaarrrrddddzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Luckily Steam has that on sale today too.

BTW, I see that you sent me a friends request. I have it set up on my account that friends requests have to be approved by me to go through. Just as an experiment, I'm gonna deny your request. I just wanna see if you get a notification of me essentially giving you the finger. Report back if you get a notification and then I'll let the friends request go though.

^_^ I wasn't terribly clear. I assumed people would be familiar with days of endless requests for SSZ (and Mars War Logs -- that came to pass) bundles in the Amazon thread.

I bought SSZ from Amazon assuming it was the card-able game. Imagine my surprise when - ho ho ho - no drops!

Well, looks like I should have jumped in on the cards thing a bit sooner, but still.. I have @ $3 more in my steam wallet than I did yesterday.. so it's all good.

Is there anyplace that lists how many cards you can get from each game?  I have tripletown idling with HL2 right now and I don't know if I've already hit the maximum.

Replace my username with your steam id. It will show you how many card drops you have left for each game. Or in the steam client, you can hover over your username tab and click on badges.
