Technically it's not free because you need to have PS Plus for it.

Begin argument.
You pay for the subscription, not the games. Wham!

You don't say you don't get free samples at Costco because you had to pay for the Costco membership. Bam!

Just because it's not free for you doesn't mean it's not free for me. Thank you, ma'am!

question - i know when you buy a game there is a way to set it to 'auto-download' to your ps3 or vita. can i do this with a game i bought ages ago? or do i need to go through my download list? (i want to use the webstore to redownload a game on my vita, basically).

lol, i'm all up on those 3 too thanks to the conversation on another forum.

all 3 are pretty darn new, i believe.

If you've had PS+ for a long time, you might have all 3 in their original PSP mini form already. I know I do. That said, I still want to buy Velocity Ultra because I loved the mini and the demo (plus trophies and HD). I'll buy Flying Hamster if there is a price break. I disliked the Floating Cloud mini... but I hear the second analog stick improves it greatly. Need to see if there's a vita demo for either of those...

Flying Hamster and Floating Cloud are pretty cheap even not on sale, though.
does that forum happen to be NeoGAF? heh.
yea I'm dying for some decent shooter action on my Vita (shooter as in along the lines of shmups!)

yep. vita lurker.

re-schmups. get sine mora. it's absolutely fantastic, and the most serious schmup on vita. it's no joke regarding difficulty. absolutely beautiful. the only negative i can think of is that some of the trophies are borderline impossible unless you've absolutely mastered the game (and it's not an easy game).

also - it's not a horizontal schmup but the psp mini 'minisquadron' is fantastic. it plays sort of like time pilot. definitely worth a couple bucks. i dislike most minis, but this was my favorite.

oh! I have Sine Mora :D completed it on the Vita (no exciting trophies or what not though)

hmm maybe I should get Kickbeat

is spy hunter worth $10 if i love racing games and used to love the original arcade game?  i'm also capable of enjoying budget racers like asphalt.

EDIT: darn it, wrong thread. still applicable, though. talking about vita version.

So a little random but has anyone actually seen anything tangible about the Vita version of FFX/X-2 HD lately?  When they announced it Vita sounded like the way to go but I can't even find anything solid on it lately.  Any articles on it briefly mention it (as in coming soon for PS3 and Vita) but that's it and no one even has it in their systems for pre-order.  I'm starting to think it's looking more and more like vaporware.  Made me think of it when I was at GS today and they had a standee for it with a Sony, Squenix and PS3 logo on it but nothing Vita.

Played the PS3 version at PAX at it looked pretty good. Vita version was no where to be found though. Makes me think it won't come out for awhile after the PS3 version does.

I have been completely surprised by how much I'm enjoying New Little King's Story. It is far from perfect (rough framerate & isn't very difficult thus far) but it is full of charm and hard to put down. I've got TW: Rome 2, Saints Row 4, and Splinter Cell Blacklist waiting to be played but I ended up staying up till 4am playing NLKS instead.

Yeah, I have a bad feeling about this. I'm actually looking forward to it which makes it all the more likely that something will go wrong.

That would be incredibly disappointing. I was looking forward to this quite a bit for some reason (wasn't a huge fan of FFX and never played X-2).

I honestly feel like the Vita version is the big hold up. There's no way a remaster can take this long when most other companies have them out the door in no time. At this point, I just wish they'd release the PS3 version and say Vita is coming later. I'd be ok with that. FFX is my favorite FF game. Hopefully with TGS right around the corner, we get some info on a release date. They've been saying 2013 this whole time, but a few sites are reporting that whispers of a delay were spreading around at PAX.

a quick google found this, a SE community manager posting on the EU PS blog less than a month ago...

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/08/12/new-final-fantasy-xx-2-hd-screenshots-and-video/

he's most definitely talking about the vita version, ie: "Speaking of challenges, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster comes with full PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita Trophy Support for each game!"

I believe both versions were recently delayed to early 2014, were they not? i don't see any reason to fear for the vita version; it's not like we're fearing for the ps3 version.

Wow...it is hard to find an online ranked match in Divekick. Waited like 15 min for a match last night. Can't find one this morning. And most of the trophies are for online play. Boo.

vita? I remember on the day of release a bunch of vita players were complaining about not being able to find ranked matches. I've only managed to successfully get one match setup online, as a result I've put it aside until they hopefully find the problem.

Playing on PS3 actually. And of course as soon as I posted I found a match. But still have only been able to find 5 online ranked matches after a lot of trying since last night.

did it ever get or is a physical release of it planned? I passed on little king because i wanted a physical copy

You have to have me on your ignore list since you ignore ever time I answer this question from you. It's not getting a physical release here in North America. If the publisher wanted to do so, it would've happened at launch.

This guy always ask the same questions over and over. I have not seen a single post from him that didn't ask a question that couldn't be answered by spending two seconds on Google.

Yeah, I read a rumor on neogaf that someone got the Squenix rep at PAX to admit that it wasn't coming until some unspecified point in 2014 but who knows if that's true. It's just one of those things where they seem to be trying to let it quietly fade away and hope people forget about it.

They've been saying 2013 this whole time, but a few sites are reporting that whispers of a delay were spreading around at PAX.
Well to Squenix's credit they're doing a lot more with it than just changing the supported resolution like most companies do and pushing it out the door. While it still looks like an old game what they've actually done to it makes it look almost like a an early gen PS3 title.

Money, you hated Escape Plan that much? I actually just started it a couple of days ago and didn't think it was that bad. Sort of dull and I don't think I will finish it but I've played worse.

Vita is my go-to console now with 2 young children. I'm currently playing Liberation on it and really enjoying it. I've really never played Assassins Creed before so I don't know how it stacks up but it's the first open-world game I've seen on Vita and it's a lot of fun.

I can't wait for Rayman Legends and Killzone to get here. Dragon's Crown was pretty awesome, especially online. I really wish more retail titles would come out for Vita, even if just ports like Most Wanted did. I understand why they don't, though. Maybe the new price drop will help.

I love Plus but kind of annoyed at the first "let's get the sales we can before we announce it's going free" I've fallen for with Rayman Origins. Absolutely no need for me to but it 2 weeks before hearing it was going free. Now don't do it again, Sony! I wouldn't think it would be productive to make people afraid of buying things on sale.

Actually, it's not bad, I'm just getting extremely frustrated with the Director's Cut DLC. I also absolutely hate touch controls.

The latest thing that I have heard about it was in the last sentence of this IGN article posted on 08/12/13.

I was surprised to learn that X and X-2 will be sold separately for the Vita.

So ended up buying Sly4 for PS3 since I had a $15 cert at BB so ended up paying $1 and some change cause of taxes. Wish I could have kept the certificate for later (BF) , but it was expiring on the 21st :\

yea, my guess is that both together would be over 4gig, and thus cause issues with the mem stick.

as long as they don't price gouge as a result, i'm okay with that. at least for the digital version, the combo should be the same price on either console. it would be nice if they total'd the same physical at $40 as well, but... putting out a retail copy at $20 seems unlikely. possible, but unlikely. but then charging different for the digital vs. physical would also be odd...

maybe they'll change their mind and ship it with 2 carts, but then again that would likely require a custom box and... yea. it's a tricky situation, really.

PS.Blog post from two weeks ago says it's out later this year for PS3 and Vita.

Yay, I'm so happy I bought the RE Chronicles games during the last sale and haven't even played them yet...   :headache:  and I'm so happy I bought them years ago on the Wii and haven't even played them yet... :dunce:

Now I could have had them for free with my ps+ subscription. :joystick:

People complain when there is a sale on a game and later that game goes free on PS+. People also complain when a game goes free, then later has a sale and they are unable to buy it to keep after they cancel PS+.

Don't forget the complaining when there isn't a sale.

Yeah, I do remember hearing that now. I bet if they do release it that it's going to be digital only on PSN for Vita and that's why no one has any info on it. Which is just awful if you want that art book but not the PS3 version.

"Slated" for release this year. To me that wording is tricky. Meaning that we plan on it, but we won't commit to anything. We only have four months left in the year, and it's definitely not coming out in September, unless they surprise release it. Also a September release draws sales away from FFXIV and KH 1.5. I'd consider December a no go. October or November are really it. And the problem with November, is running into next gen launches. I read an article a few weeks ago saying that a lot of EU retailers had changed to October release dates, so I'm still holding out for that.

Kind of interesting in a semi-Limbo, slow as molasses, touch control way. Normally I hate touch controls as well but it's actually a plus for me being in the same room as a sleeping newborn.

At least the puzzles are manageable to me, unlike Machinarium. Gosh darn that is a frustrating game to me. It's one the highest-rated on Vita and I really wanted to like it. I just can't stand a game at this point in my life that makes me sit in frustration for minutes having no clue what to do. I just want to be entertained and move on. I give up with that one.

Personally, I don't care if a sale goes on free games later. I'm not going to buy them. I think it's weird that people are obsessed with "ownership" and would ever bother. I do, however, think it's a little shady to put a sale title free IMMEDIATELY after the sale like with Rayman. At least give it a month or two to be less transparent and soften the blow a bit.

So Ico is one of the titles coming up for Plus? I'm interested in the Remote Play for it. Has anyone done it for that game?

People have reported several places having talked to Squenix reps who told them off the record to expect it around February.

yup, yup. see, the thing is, no matter when you have a sale, someone out there just bought it last week.

and even if you retro-graded a sale by a week to make that guy happy, there was a guy that bought it a day before that retro-grade into effect.

really, there's no way around it. which is why... buy stuff at a price you're happy with and be happy you have it.
