I guess we need an Enhanced Humble browser extension to tell us which games are already in our Humble/Steam libraries.

I Knew I was missing only one game, but also wanted to BTA early to get the bonuses on the cheap

The second time was trying to buy the retro shooter Bundle, I was on the wrong Window and ended buying another HB9 :/

What happens if you buy the SAME bundle TWICE for yourself?

Does that automatically make 2nd copy a GIFT?

You get 2 Bundle groups with the same name on the bundles list at the bottom

Oh crap! Steam is asking me to verify that my email address hasn't changed. This isn't gonna lock me out of the Market once I answer it, is it?

So decided to give Divine Divinity a run again and am finding it difficult to get it to run correctly.  Anyone else run into issues, particularly with Windows 8?  I've found other postings around about the same issues (everything going black inside of buildings, odd graphic glitches) but no one seems to be able to have run into any resolutions.  Running in software mode seems to be the best answer but while that makes the game run at a playable pace (D3D does not), it still leaves me with the graphics issues.  Really disappointing because it is otherwise a great game and I was looking forward to running through it again.

From only booting it up briefly (on Win7*) it felt laggy on my GTX 660 but fine on my laptop with HD 4000. >.> Haven't dug into why.

I know. I was talking about protecting people from themselves at humblebundle.com. :)
Well in that case, [customspoiler='might I suggest']

I'm wondering if they removed that safeguard because I had to authorize Chrome again (deleted my cookies or something stupid) a week or so ago and didn't get locked out.

Interesting, thanks, I need to check it out on my other machines. I've only tried it so far on my laptop which is admittedly just a cheap little Toshiba with AMD integrated crap, though considering it can handle Van Helsing and Torchlight reasonably well I figured a decade old game I used to run on an AMD XP 2000+ machine. At least Freedom Force runs. Also only running Win8 on this laptop because my job is tech support and when clients started to use Win8 I thought it would be helpful to figure out how to direct them through this abomination.

Unrelated, quick Legend of Fae review. PIcked it up at random when it was 75% off (2.50), and it's a very solid match 3 game. Graphics are very attractive cartoony sprite based work. Story follows a girl with a bum leg who's uncle goes missing leaving a cryptic note and a lantern. Rather than return to her parents, she sets off in search for her uncle and encounters some cute elemental friends that help her along her way. Gameplay follows matching tiles to charge up your energy to walk to the next encounter or dodge, charge up your elementals to enchant yourself with bonuses or attack enemies. During battle once your elementals are charged you can shift to the upper half of the screen to choose which elemental to send against which enemy exploiting a rock/paper/scissors weakness system. I've only played through the first chapter, 10 or so levels and I've been pretty well satisfied with it. The match 3 is fairly standard, but you get bonuses for chaining without "empty" non-clearing moves which keeps a level of strategy and the switching between panes to carry out the combat gives it a nicely frantic pace. The protagonist is plucky and easy to root for and all in all one of the better indie puzzle games I've tried, hope it gets cards. It's likely bundle fodder but all the same if you're in the market for a new match 3 worth a chance on sale.

I thought Legend of Fae was a decent game but the game has a huge difficulty spike during the second half of the game which made the game more tedious then fun to finish.

Hm, it ran flawlessly on my decade old Dell laptop with integrated graphics. That was the GOG version, though.

Don't have divine divinity, but sometimes w/older games, they're just not compatible w/newer cards or something. I got the Dungeon Siege pack off of steam, obviously 3 was fine, but 1/2 wouldn't run off of my desktop (windows 8, 3.4 ghz I7, nvidia 660 gtx ti) but they both run flawlessly on my crappy laptop.

Yes, it'll permanently lock you out of the Market. But that's ok, just give all of your cards to me and I'll sell them for you ;)

Atlus will soon be a Sega brand, reports Japan's Nikkei. P

The Japanese news source reports that there have been substantial steps forward for Index Corporation to transfer management control over to Sega Sammy Holdings (Sega's parent company).P

This comes as Sega will formally purchase Index for 14 billion yen (US$141 million), and Index's game business is being reorganized under Sega.

imagine if sega starts bringing atlus stuff to steam

Soooo turns out it looks like I have an extra Tomb Raider key :) If anybody wants to take a look at my wish list: http://steamcommunity.com/id/pasports31/wishlist if you happen to have a key from that list lying around and want to trade, I'm (probably) down. Probably won't want to trade for any of the titles that are rumored to be in the humble bundle.

After all this positive talk about Eador, I think I might have to go back and give it another chance. Perhaps I was wrong about it.

This isn't something I do lightly. If I end up liking it, it might mean that most horrible thing...

Mooby was right.

I don't know why, but the fact that publishers really seem to be latching onto this "let's do a humble bundle" thing bugs me a little.  As a cheap gamer, I know that's ridiculous (I do want to play that Sherlock Holmes game!), and I'm no accountant but it just seems weird.  Like some of the Kickstarters that have no business being on Kickstarter. In the end, as evidenced here, it seems they are going to bundle themselves right out of early purchases of pretty much any game they release, ever.

For the studio bundles/weekly sales, most of the games tend to be older games or games that make a lot of money from DLC. Financially, it makes sense to milk some extra money out of old games that no one is really buying and getting the base game into the hands of consumers cheaply so they can make higher margins on DLC.

And I'm totally fine with all of this because it means cheap games for me

Good to know. If may have to come off the backlog...

Or am I kidding myself?

I love the genre. Through years I looked for some MoM kind-of heir, and this one is the closest one. It even surpasses my XCOM:EU playing time... And I'm an XCOM fan

Bundle Stars Indie Jam 3 Bundle is live.

  • Sanctum (Steam)
  • A.R.E.S Extinction Agenda (Steam)
  • Two Worlds Epic Edition (Steam)
  • Joint Task Force (Steam)
  • Nexus: The Jupiter Incident (Steam)
  • Commandos 3: Destination Berlin (Steam)
  • Garshasp: Temple of the Dragon (Steam)
  • Battlepaths (Desura)
Kinda want Sanctum and ARES, but know I will almost certainly never play them. The rest are rather meh to me, and/or are repeats. A pretty week bundle IMO.

Does anyone NOT think of Garry's Mod when they read the title to this game? And what a horribly boring name it is! Incident does not scream action. The trailer is horrible. Just horrible. so bad that now I want to wishlist.

Sanctum is pretty cool, if not a tad generic. I just couldn't get far in ARES. Visually, it is appealing and I like the ability to upgrade my guy but the controls just never clicked for me.

I'm kinda interested in A.R.E.S...

[customspoiler=WTF is...]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gMvhMLY7qM[/customspoiler]

The rest I either have or am not interested.  (With the exception of Garshasp, which I don't have, but not sure if I'm interested in.)
