Anyway, it's been re-re-re-re-wikified, so if anyone wants to update it go ahead.  If not I'll probably work on it later.

Of course the week I get banned is the week they put a game on sale for 90% off.  I would have been all over that.

 
Betweem WFC and Web of Shadows, which would you guys recommend first? I'm leaning towards Transformers for the price and I really enjoyed the demo for the sequel.   Web of Shadows would be a blind buy which I don't usually do for $15 games.

I don't recall his track record, but in this case it's true for Gold subscribers. Pull it up on the web site and switch the language / country to pt-BR.

I'm surprised they didn't put Angry Birds' DLC, Spider-Man 3's DLC, Amazing Spidey or Amazing Spidey's DLC on sale. Or Might & Magic's DLC, when they put a side-game and its DLC on sale..And where's the second Minigolf 3d already?

By the way, am I alone in liking Gun? It was like a meh Red Dead Redemption before Red Dead Redemption was around (came around 4 or 5 years before, I think). :)

I liked Gun up until doing the final boss on the hardest difficulty lol.

Haha, oh okay. I only played it on the original Xbox (never bothered rebuying it), so I probably played it on Normal (no achievements or anything back then). Did the 360 version really have many improvements aside from minor graphics stuff?

It's alright Tyler, I have the copypasta of what I did so far, I just need somewhere to save it. I guess they launched Wikis a tad too early.

Just Cause 2, Deus Ex, and Hitman are Squeenix, so I'm guessing they're monthly markdowns.

Gun, Crash, Weapon X Arena (DLC for Wolverine Origins), and Crash again are published by Activision.

Dark Messiah and Exclusive Maps, Classes, and Weapons (DLC for Dark Messiah) are part of the Might &amp; Magic series, so they're most likely sales associated with the new Game for Gold.

And that's fine, I was rusty with bbcode anyways. The only DLCs with achievements are the ones that stopped being on sale today.

Lol, more drops! Black Ops just dropped, and so did Sleeping Dogs (another Squeenix title).

I never played the original Xbox one so I don't know. The game felt a little unpolished at times but it wasn't that bad, I enjoyed it.

As far as achievements there is beat it on easy, normal, hard and maybe one more difficulty? And they DON'T STACK. But there is some cheat where you can beat the game once on any difficulty then just play the final boss on the others and get it.

Yeah, it was one of the oldest games for the 360, so I guess the concept of stacking difficulty achievements was foreign to them at the time.

Apparently there was an "Insane" difficulty achievement worth 130 GS. Damn.

I'm happy I didn't have to go through the whole game on Insane because just fighting the last boss to get the achievement frustrated the hell out of me.

 
Picked up the DLC for Tony Hawk for $2.49 and bit on Zeno Clash UE for .99.

If The Walking Dead is really the Games with Gold for this half month... weaksauce.

wtf are you talking about? Might &amp; Magic, and Halo 3 are the free games of the month. Perhaps they put the first episode for free again (the 4th or 3rd time already) to celebrate October or perhaps Season 4 starting in 2 weeks?

 
Definitely bit on Zeno Clash for a buck since I was debating it for $5. Now to spend the rest of the week deciding on the sequel for $7.50.  Thoughts? I'll probably just get it for completions sake, but I saw it being discussed that the second one was worse for one reason or another.

Gun was one of the first games I played on 360. I really enjoyed it. Now if only I could find a cheap copy or rent one so I can do the other difficulty achievements. Actually part of the reason why I bought CoJ Gunslinger was because I wanted to play another western game.
 
This is a decent sale week then judging by XBLDB.  Something for most everyone, genre and type-wise.

Tony Hawk Revert Pack is the only DLC I've ever really been interested in I think, I'll probably jump on that.  I might nab the $2.49 Geometry Wars, or the 4.99 Geometry Wars 2 as well.

I have no idea what I'm doing in M&M:CoH.  I don't get the combat system.  I mean, I do get it, but I don't get WHY it's that way, and I find it odd and awkward.  I think I've prefer the way combat in the old Heroes of M&M works (even though that could be a bit clunky too at times).  Otherwise M&M:CoH seems a decent game.  From me, that's a good review I guess, I don't care for those sorts of games generally.

FWIW, that Ben 10 game isn't AWFUL, I've played much worse.  I just didn't want to put time into it even  though I got a few levels in.  For free, and for its size, it's ok.

I apparently am again in the minority, this time on Terraria.  I didn't like the Terraria demo.  It seemed more chore than game, and I had trouble aiming and lining things up correctly which took away from the experience.

Don't be afraid to buy stuff guys.  That's just silly.  If you have a legit account and price is marked a certain way, it is what it is.  People got banned for doing much more.  If they mismark something, there's nothing under their ToS that they can fall back on and that'd be an other whole can of legal worms.

 
Pretty sure I'm in for Zeno Clash UE, Vigilante 8, Assault Heroes, Ben 10, and Clash of Heroes. On the fence for Terarria, seems like too much dinking around.
 
Primis nailed it on Terarria. It's a chore; Dig Dug is a better time waster.

With Gun at $10, I'll go ahead and get that and Transformers. If more funds come in, I'll consider adding Spider-man.

The tutorial is awful. I haven't played the game after getting 400/400, but I think you can click in the right stick to help make the aiming for precise. The game is really slow starting off, especially if playing by yourself. I think it took me close to 5 hours until I felt comfortable leaving my house at night. The start is pretty much a chore until you get decent enough gear to go out fighting and exploring. The worst part is that you cannot sleep through the night, so there's a lot of doing barely anything at night when first starting.

 
so I guess xbox.com hasn't been updated as I can't "buy" MM:CoH?  I removed pp few weeks ago, and there's an old cc still stuck on my account.  Also is there a way to NOT get the security page where I have to enter a code that is called/texted to me?  this has been going on for months so I usually just turn the 360 on to get the free games.

Terraria is awesome, but similar to Minecraft, it's not going to be for everyone.  There are objectives and things to do in Terraria, but it takes a while get to them.  Someone said something about nights, yeah when you start out they're very interesting.  You can't sleep but really you're too weak to go out and do much, so you kind of just have to kill time at night.

But Terraria was hugely addictive for me, the controls aren't perfect but they're about as good as they can be.  I'll definitely be re-buying it for the 3rd time when it hits Vita.

 
I've seen people on here talking about a free Ben 10 game today but I can't seem to find it? And i thought ithad been delisted anyway.

How do I pay with both MS account AND credit card? I have like 89 cents on the Account and maybe 60 cents on my card, but I can't figure out how to use my MS balance to cover part of the price of Zeno Clash.

Terraria is awesome, but similar to Minecraft, it's not going to be for everyone. There are objectives and things to do in Terraria, but it takes a while get to them. Someone said something about nights, yeah when you start out they're very interesting. You can't sleep but really you're too weak to go out and do much, so you kind of just have to kill time at night.

But Terraria was hugely addictive for me, the controls aren't perfect but they're about as good as they can be. I'll definitely be re-buying it for the 3rd time when it hits Vita.



It's coming to PS Vita? I didn't know that. Maybe I won't buy it on XBLA. Darnit. Now I'm going to have to think hard about it.

That was the final rub for me: I'd rather play Minecraft in 3D. Even if you like Minecraft, it's no given you'll like Terraria. It's not awful by any means, there's a lot there, lot of potential anyways. In Minecraft I can do nothing really, and yet feel busy and accomplished. In the Terraria demo I felt very busy, and yet unaccomplished.

Someone asked me elsewhere if I'd play Terraria on Steam with a PC interface. But no, I'd probably again just play Minecraft. To me, Terraria is trying to fill a niche that has already been filled by another game with an obsessive following.

With Halo 3 nailed down, that leaves 4 more Games With Gold, correct? Any mad, rampant speculation on what those might be yet? I'll be quite happy if even 2 of the 4 are decent.

 
Can anyone speak as to how good (or bad) Tony Hawk HD is? I've heard mainly negative things myself, but I also wanted some general gamers' opinions.

Stay way from that pos game, the controls are terrible and its buggy as hell. I bought it last time that it went on sale and i still regret buying that fucking garbage.

Yeah, but no release date yet. Should be awesome on the Vita, I'll get sucked back in for sure. Minecraft on Vita should also be amazing, assuming it's the console version and not mobile version being ported.

I thought it was fine. I was never a huge Tony Hawk fan back in the day, just a casual player. In this version, your character is definitely gimped in the beginning and you have to play through the levels and level your character up before it feels like it did in the old Tony Hawk games I played.

It really isn't very good. I played the hell out of the Tony Hawk games (up through THUG2 at least) and they just messed this up. It doesn't control well at all. I've bailed for literally no reason when skating on a flat surface. And the detection for when you land or are still in the process of landing a trick when coming down a pipe is really sketchy. The demo isn't long enough to give you an idea of how the game is either.

I wasn't too impressed by the demo, so I opted to get several original Xbox THPS games and play them on a 360. They aren't HD, but they sure are fun and are cheaper than the XBLA prices.
