Xbox One Console Thread (Console is currently in stock as of 12/3 at Amazon)

I think people have been reporting if they trade in a 360 system or something they get the $30 Credit on an Xbonx One controller. Trying to find out for sure what triggers it.

Edit: I found the link actually on how it works.

Pre-order an Xbox One and Trade In a Console, Get a $30 Bonus Toward an Xbox One Controller
For a limited time, while supplies last, trade in an Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii U console and get a $30 bonus credit toward an Xbox One controller.

How to redeem this offer:
1. Pre-order an Xbox One console.
2. Select a qualifying console from the list below and click the "Trade In" button.
3. Send in your item for processing following the instructions provided.
4. Wait for your item to be received and graded.
5. We will apply your Amazon.com Gift Card directly to your account in the amount of the trade-in value for your console.
6. We will send you a $30 bonus credit via email within three business days of acceptance of your trade-in.
7. Add a qualifying Xbox One controller from the list below to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. On the final checkout page, enter your bonus credit in the "Gift Cards and Promotional Codes" box. Once you click Apply, the discount will appear in your Order Summary.

Not as good as the $30 off of a PS4 controller but still a pretty good deal for anyone that has an Xbox One on pre-order on Amazon.
The ps4 offer was 30 towards a controller with 20 or 30 trade in.

I got rid of the basic wii u and had no idea about this offer but it is welcomed and a great deal.

This is why I like being open about myself, because it shows who the good people are and who the people I would never want to associate with are.  It's a great tool and has served me well throughout life.  Only the most insecure, usually more unsuccessful, are the ones who make any note of what I say and start to pick at it.in a negative way.  I am not surprised to see the resident Sony troll as the one who goes on to do that here.

And who is this Sony troll you refer to?

@Neo, I saw you said you didn't have experience with the ladies.  I'm not picking at you so don't take this the wrong way, but my advice would be to game a bit less and try to get out a bit more, and I'm sure that will improve your odds in trying to gain some experience.  I'm pulling for ya sir.

This thread is turning into high school. People making fun of others because they are different from them. Let them do them.

We all know we cried during final fantasy 7.

Btw, I mentioned the NSA before in relation to Xbox monitoring live chats and people complained stuff was getting "off topic" got a mod to come in and everything to delete posts.

However, the thread turns into the top 5 life moments for somebody, and people either make fun or call out the ones making fun yet nobody cries "off topic".  Weird.

Yeah I know and I could do whatever I wanted, but it's just that I don't care. It's not something that I want to spend my time and energy on. The only times I cared was because I felt compelled to care, not that I actually did. The people I know who have their lives depend on companionship or whatever you want to call it are the most unhappy people I know and they spend their whole day and life thinking and talking about the most worthless crap. I love just focusing on what is fun to me and spending any free time I have having fun. I have no intentions of introducing drama and stress into my life when it'd be for something that's of a quite low priority.

I know several guys I used to work with who have screamed at the top of their lungs at me cause they were so angry I am not interested in asking out girls and going through everything that entails but it's just...I don't care. I love doing whatever I want to do every day and I don't feel like trying to change my life or who I am in order to appease someone else or society. It seems like a lot of people don't even think for themselves or make decisions that will bring them the most happiness, it's just they do whatever they feel is expected on them by their peers and I say **** that.

BTW, in my last post I was referring to the guy with the purple PSN sig that has never had a single positive thing to say in here about the Xbox One or people who are excited about it. He also has never made a single on-topic post.

I actually think the NSA thing is an on-topic and relevant post (as long as it's not some constant thing spammed in here) and I've been meaning to say that. We know, thanks to Edward Snowden, that Microsoft was right at the top of the list for companies that signed onto the PRISM program. Microsoft and Google are currently suing the US Government because they want the government to allow them to release to the public what information they gave out about their customers.

to be honest we need more community members like neo he has great inputs on things and never see him do anything we see alot of people do on this site including arguments and what not.

Focusing on what is fun for you is just fine, but I guarantee if you were to find someone that shared similar interests you would lead a far more fulfilling life and the fun your having now would seem boring by comparison. Yes, bad relationships suck and most of us have been there and done that, but if your able to find someone that you can really connect with and who shares a lot of your interests....well, life just gets a 1000 times better and you will never find them if you don't get out and start looking. But to each their own. If you want to stay single and focus only on things that make you happy than that is your god given right. Nobody can force you to go out and start dating. I actually held a similar opinion when I was younger as everyone, and I do mean everyone, in my family had gotten divorced and not many of them were amicable. I wasn't necessarily intent on staying single but I was 100% sure I was never going to get married. I actually dated a girl for a couple years when I first got out of High School and she wound up breaking up with me because of my beliefs on marriage. She was looking to get married and have kids and the whole 9 yards. I saw marriage as the relationship killer. Then I met my wife and to say everything changed would be a massive understatement. We shared almost identical interests. We both loved the outdoors (hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking etc..), we were both artists (I'm a photographer and she's into painting and sculpture), we both love to travel, we both grew up playing video games, etc... Every activity that I enjoyed became a 1000 times better when we were together. We have been married for just over 11 years now and our marriage has never been better.

Bottom line - dating does not automatically introduce stress and worthless crap into a person's life and making decisions on this particular topic based on other people's experiences is one of the worst decisions a person can make, at least in my opinion. Again, I did that myself for many years and had I continued to do so, I would not be where I am today. My wife loves playing the lottery and she has a saying, "the only sure thing in regards to the lottery is you will never win if you never play". The same thing can be said for dating. Unfortunately, I think most people that take this stance, wind up regretting it later in life. But again, to each their own. Its your life and these decisions are yours to make. Nobody in here, or anywhere else for that matter, can make them for you. Just know that all that negativity you speak of, that is just one side of the coin. When you find the right person, its exactly the opposite of everything you have said.

OK, enough with the dating advice. Getting back on topic, were down to 18 Days, 7 Hours, 7 Minutes and 30 seconds until LAUNCH!!! I think this is the most excited I have ever been for a console launch before. XBox One's lineup just looks amazing!! God, I cant wait!! Amazon better get my console here on time or I am going to be really upset. The only question that remains is what game will I play first?

you just haven't met the right girl. She'll come into your life one day.

Ha!  I didn't like gettinmoney when he was gettinmoney, but I love his reinvented self.

I know that puts me in the minority in this thread, but to paraphrase Neo: screw you guys, I'll like what I like.

screw all this other talk as someone just posted we are getting closer and closer to the launch of this bad boy.  Can not freaking wait.  I'm really getting the itch to buy some more games for the launch but it's un-necessary for sure.  I think I'm getting excited for this launch because realistically this is the last time you'll be able to buy physical copies of games along with the console so might as well go out with a bang.

I got Ryse, DR3, Forza 5, Ghosts, and Watch Dogs paid off.  Plus I got M$ pts to get Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon.  I'm also wanting to possibly get Battlefield 4, NBA 2K14, and NFS: Rivals.  Like I said I am a cheap ass gamer and rarely buy games new but this is really special.

Let's get it on!!!

I'm guessing it is a little late to pre-order and still get it on launch day. Have a few friends that have been asking me where to pre-order for launch day.

Oh is that who that asshole is? Go figure. This is one of the few forums that I've been to in my 20+ years on the internet that let's people get away with so much stuff, bans them, and lets their alts come back like this.

I have an Amazon preorder that I'm going to cancel, I'd like to hand it off to someone in need, but I doubt it would work out. Anyways, does anyone know the specifics about getting COD Ghosts digitally for both Xbox systems? Specifically, will it be possible to download the game before midnight, just to have it ready to go?

They do a queue thing I believe. So it starts downloading at midnight and not before.

Not sure on timeframe, but you can play while you download...

Just wanted to share this with everyone.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/321911-get-a-free-xbox-one-real-with-proof/

Read the topic if your interested.  We can all get a free xbox one if everyone isnt so optimistic.  Its real, all you have to do is sign up for an account do a offer, preferable creditreport.com or something free.  Cancel it before the free trial ends.  You need 11 referrals to get the xbox one but, if we had enough people doing it we could cycle through everyones referral in the thread I created.  Just thought Id give you guys a heads up.

You can pass it off to someone from Amazon. You would just have to change the shipping address to their address.

Sold my iPad to Target for $200 so it looks like I'm definitely keeping my X1 preorder.  Now just gotta think of what to get for it.

Had a chance to play both the PS4 and XB1 yesterday. Really liked the changes that were made to the XB1 controller. The rumble triggers are excellent. I wasn't a huge fan of how stiff the shoulder buttons felt though.

I thought Xbox One wasn't going to have game downloads day one? You can play while you are installing the game from a disc. Playing while downloading from XBL hasn't been confirmed

I couldn't agree more, thanks for bringing things back on topic. I'm the same way, I don't buy a lot of stuff at release and rarely ever buy a 60 dollar game. This is a very special occasion I am excited for as well, the generation lasted so long I had no issue paying the money for the XB1. Unfortunately the 2 games I'm getting are digital only (Crimson Dragon, Killer Instinct), however this very well may be the last physical generation. I hope everyone has a blast the 22nd, I know I will with both XB1 and Link Between Worlds.

Well crap. After all this time with a preorder, I may end up having to cancel it. We've got a baby on the way and are pretty much ready to go, but I'm thinking I should bolster up the ol' emergency fund a little bit more. Especially considering I won't have much time to play once she arrives!

On the fence because I know if I don't grab it at launch, it'll be at least a year or so before I hop on.

The joys of being single. :D

Are MS Store orders guaranteed release day delivery? Is it automatically applied or am I supposed to change shipping speed somewhere? Also, when checking my order history, along the left side under my information, my status says "Order in process" but then under "Items ordered" the status says "Backordered". I hope that means the system is currently backordered and not that my order is. Is anyone elses like that?

Tonight was my first midnight online order pick up at best buy. I was happy how fast it went two mins in and out. I hope they allow the people that has system preorder in at midnight and not make is sit in line.

Hey have any of you seen this yet?

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/321911-get-a-free-xbox-one-conga-line-real-with-proof/

There's a decent amount of people there, that have done this is the past, with the owners other sites. Think about it, worst case you spend $1. But when people start getting systems, I don't want to be kicking myself in the ass because I didn't sign up. Basically when you sign up, you are added to a list(only 15 at time of writing). Then for every 11 people that sign up, we move to the next name on the list.
