Xbox One Console Thread (Console is currently in stock as of 12/3 at Amazon)

If you plan on playing Forza 5, check your e-mail. I just received a mass e-mail from Xbox that included a DLC code for an Audi R8.

And the Forza Rewards site added rewards for Forza 5 this month, so redeem them before the end of the month.

I think I just blindly deleted that email... haha ugh oops

Man, I can't find the email anywhere, hope they are sending it out in waves or something. Can't go wrong with a free car.

I just checked my e-mail and have the code for the 2010 Audi Forza Motorsport R8 5.2 FSI quattro—with a special livery and custom tuning package.  That car looks amazing.

Where are you guys getting warranty from? Since I'm buying it with credit, I won't have it on my Amex so I might just do square trade. Idk of any
Other options.

Are they reliable ? Been thinking of going that route as well ever have to send anything in to then to be replaced or repaired?
i have never needed them but plenty of friends have used them without complaints

for that forza email, what was the title? can't seem to find it :)

I'm wondering if they will open up any more Day One preorders.
This seems unlikely at this point. Walmart and GameStop did open more orders for consoles but they weren't Day One Editions. I think the best bet for people to get Day One would be to show up at stores and picking up a console that hasn't been reserved. Of course this would require camping out like the good old days.

I don't even care if it's a Day One if I can get it on release day.

what games do they have at the test drive events. im hoping it's madden seeing they are here for packer/bears game monday but doudt it im sure it's like first party titles.
Went to the Xbox One tour in Dallas. There were 13 games there but no Madden. The ones I remember are

Killer Instinct

Forza 5

Ryse

Battlefield 4

Dead Rising

Fifa 14

Crimson Dragon

They gave away some gift cards if you danced, sent an xbox one tweet, checked in from Facebook and some other things. Gamestop was also there taking pre orders. It was a club atmosphere and once you played your turn you had to move on. Place was packed.

If I had $70 of my Xbox One purchase paid for via Amazon credit due to it automatically applying some credit I got from selling textbooks on there, but the rest of the $430.00 is on my AMEX card, do I still get whatever warranty that gives?

You are so lucky to have an Area One event like that. I just read another person's experience on the Xbox One board on GameFAQs and he went into more detail about the games he played and it sounded so fun. Literally would have been in the top five days of my life if I could have gone (and met Major Nelson too). If I didn't have obligations six days a week right now I probably would have driven to the Chicago event and experienced all that and met him.

That would have been one of the top 5 moments of you life eh?

Without a doubt. Halo 3 launch night was my #1 moment until earlier this year when I saw and felt the ocean for the first time and then kayaked in the Pacific Ocean in the La Jolla Cove near San Diego and had sea lions and their babies jumping around and following me. Also drove through the Mojave into Vegas, etc. It was a trip I will never be able to go on again and it was all luck that I even got to go, because I certainly don't have the means to do that on my own.

But besides that kayaking moment, my best moments consist of things like Halo 3 launch night, Halo 4 launch night (specifically the hours of me playing through each game in one sitting), a few concerts I've gone to (especially when I've met some of my musical heroes like Burton C Bell and Corey Taylor), and the day I got the Xbox 360. Getting the Xbox One in less than three weeks is going to be right up there in the top 10.

Dude, thats great and all, but im thinking maybe you need to experience life a bit more.

Im guessing you must be pretty young though.
I'm 26, so not that young anymore although I still totally feel like that way mentally. In the past two years I have experienced more amazing moments than I did in my whole life before that combined. I almost feel like I could die happy at this point, but I would like to go to an E3 or PAX event of some kind though (and met Major Nelson). That's why I am so excited for the Xbox One, cause it ushers in a whole new chapter of my life, especially with graduating from college next spring. I worked from 16 to nearly 25 at the same crappy retail job (I used my first paychecks to buy an original Xbox and used all my vacation weeks for major game releases like Halo 2, Xbox 360, Gears of War, GTA IV, etc). I actually saved up time for over a year in a half so that I could take over two weeks off for the Xbox 360 launch.

Due to being shy and moving a lot as a kid I fell between the cracks when it comes to girls and stuff like that and now sit here with next to no experience with that, so gaming is basically all I do for fun besides concerts and the occasional trip to the movies (by myself lol). It hasn't bothered me in years and I like being different and being so into this stuff and appreciating the little things more than most people do. Most people who meet me at school or whatever completely misread the kind of person I am, but I have no shame in telling them how I like spending my time and what I am into.

well hope end of school goes well for you and can find a decent job after in this not so great economy. I'm at the point not finding a job in my degree field is going to make me move to a big city which i hate big cities but gotta do what needs to be done.

Why are you being a jerk? Honestly? Who are you to judge what means the most to Neo in his life? You're just being a bully.

Yep just go to their website. I think the 2 requirements are, the purchase is within 30 days and a copy of your receipt.

Hmm, so is the extra year of coverage worth $35?? Decisions, decisions. Part of me feels with the red ring fiasco there is no way the X1 will have any issues, but you never know.

Oh and Deader could you just stop posting in here, I'm pretty sure no one would be upset over that. Thanks

Got my $160 rebate from having to buy a new set of tires this year, so hopefully there's a B2G1 for Xbox One games around Black Friday.

You should look into going to a gaming convention like PAX Prime or PAX East. I got to play a handful of the Xbox One games in September (Ryze, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, etc). There are also a lot of panels where you can see and meet people high up in the gaming community. I mean I was walking down the street from my hotel and our group walked past Major Nelson.

I checked email and Free $30 Credit towards an xbox one controller.

I love amazon and both consoles are coming from them on day one.

Would anyone be interested in 'taking' my Amazon Xbone pre-order for exactly msrp (+tax if your state charges it)? I'm going to cancel it but I figure if anyone wants it I could change the shipping address to their place so that the pre-order doesn't go to waste. As far as my credentials for online-trustworthiness, I have over 100 trades on reddit's GameSwap subreddit and over 100 positive feedback on ebay. And, well, the one trade I did here years ago went well =p Anyways, not a penny of profit for me, just looking to help someone out =)

This...explains so much actually.

If I bought a Squaretrade Warranted would Chase's (Visa Signature) extended warranty protection add a year to Squaretrade's warranty or is that only for the manufacturer warranty? I'm trying to decide if it's worth paying for an extra year.

Its funny that people jump on me for being a "bully" yet Neo did not take it that way at all and we had a civil conversation.

Crazy that people can do that on the internet, I know.

But yeah, what Neo said really does explain a lot. But hes aware of the reason why he is the way he is and he is fine with that and I can respect that.

Everyone else, sit back and relax, lol.

How did you get that?
I think people have been reporting if they trade in a 360 system or something they get the $30 Credit on an Xbonx One controller. Trying to find out for sure what triggers it.

Edit: I found the link actually on how it works.
