Humble Bundle Thread

If the pinball games also gave you the android version, I'd be all over them. I just don't know if I'm down with playing pinball on my computer.
Do you have a USB-based X360 controller?

Plug that into your PC.

Or if you go wireless w/ an X360 controller - you'd need the adapter so you can send the signals.

You're obviously just rubbing in the fact that you have a more robust friends list than I do.
Gotta rub something.

But yeah, I think I have around 125 friends who play FX2. Some of these people routinely score over a billion points on multiple tables. Think my all-time high on any table is 230ish million.

Now that I am reading it in at least two threads on these boards, I'm convinced that this bundle was primarily created for the sake of all of the inevitable "balls" jokes.

Does "balls" count as 2 words?

For crying out loud! I was so excited when I got the email about the Zen Studios bundle. But then I noticed they're only doing the Windows versions. Why? They've always been so good about including the Mac versions of the games they're offering. Until now that is.

Too bad. I just downloaded Zen Pinball 2 last week and would have liked to put some money towards these tables.

Pinball FX 2 doesn't have a Mac version... it's published by Microsoft.

It's called Zen Pinball 2 and has the same content as every other iteration on other platforms.

Wasnt Mark of the Ninja also published by Microsoft?

As were Halo and MS Office but I've purchased both of these for Mac before. It's not like they're publishing it for a competing console.

Another gripe I have with Pinball:

I'll occasionally do something for a shit ton of points and have no idea what it was

I have no strategy or anything. I just hit the bumpers and hope for something good

All the tables have guides in the table menu (hit escape while playing) which will tell you the important things to do. For much more detail, see here.

You can play randomly for a while just to learn the table, but to get those high scores you really need to know the table (just like the real thing). Changing the view for a more close up "follow the ball" camera will show you what you are hitting in more detail (but can be disorienting).

Thanks....wasn't aware of these features and all.

Now I can successfully play nothing but Pinball forever, finally putting my rig to good use.

It's probably a licensing issue. I think we'll see a Mac version on Steam eventually.

I'm pretty excited that Zen is bringing their Plants Vs. Zombies table to FX2 on Steam. THey're trying now to clear the license.

So you're saying that's NOT how you should be playing pinball for high scores???? Well, that certainly explains why my scores are at the level they are.

So much for those Mac versions of Pinball FX 2...

Edit: Ooh Twitter boxes.

And thanks for posting a fixed version, spoder, I'd never pasted a Twitter link here before.

From what I've tried (only about 5), epic quest and the avengers are my favorites
Epic Quest is the best: "And what kind of loot do *you* have?" "This is bat country! Let’s stop here!" and so on.

But since I've already played it to death, I'm trying the tables I haven't played before - right now I'm trying out Pasha, great little table, not too complex or drain happy.
