New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Images must have a valid extension (eg: .jpg, .gif, .png) Quite a few sites these days use URLs without any extension for images (eg: Steam screenshots.)

Man, ML just had to take this to a dark place, huh?

Now we know the true fate of the soldiers from the Toy Story movies.

Anybody else getting (or playing if you already bought it), Starbound when it releases today? It is beta of course, so there are bugs and in this phase of beta characters may break after a patch. Just trying to gauge the activity for this game from just this thread.

Seems like the next evolution of Terraria. Side note: I've been meaning to give Terraria another shot, but the game seems so random and tedious :(

What's the status of that coupon?
85

Wut coupon?

Anyway, a few good prices hidden away, the ones below can be had for 5 dolla. I believe they come with a steam key in the email conf. Too lazy to make the linkz purty:

Yes! Price Drop! I can finally get this:

Company of Heroes 2: Digital Collectors Edition - $79.99
I don't understand how any of this qualifies as price drops, unless the MSRPs were jacked up to ridiculous levels beforehand.

Speaking of stupid prices, I know we're not supposed to complain about it in that thread, but some individual in the Steam key trading thread is selling a GRID 2 key for $30. REALLY?!?!

That GRID2 key probably isn't from the giveaway, and instead is just regular price from some cheaper region.

I'm pretty excited about it but I need to stop buying Early Access games as all they do is remind me that I'm buying something that's not ready yet.

I'll jump in on a 4-pack, only question is when. I might wait until we're at beta stage 3 (full releasish).

I guess you really give people the benefit of the doubt.
Actually, having just taken a look at the listing in question, I'll take back my supposition. I was assuming it was one of the many that seem to always have a list of keys from cheaper regions. It doesn't look like that's the case, though.

I guess that's possible, it would explain why most of their other prices are just a taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad high.

Or they're just lazy and never change their prices and repost the same tired prices over and over and over and over and over...(there are several offenders in this category)

Or they're just looking to bend some noobs over the barrel and make them squeal like a pig.

I'm going with d) all of the above.

I feel it's unlikely that anyone has EVER sold a single game key in that thread for as much as $30.

Well speaking of GRiD 2, I finally won one from the Intel/Facebook giveaway.,, thanks to the excellent tips from within this very thread.

Also, thanks to the tip on the 35% Ubi coupon I can now spend time between Steam sales camping out the Ubi sale.

I've christened this concept: "The Idiotheque Effect"

NEVER SETTLE, NEVER COMPROMISE, HOLD YOUR KEYS FOREVER
