I would be so glad if Virtua Fighter 5 was on PC, along with Tekken and Soul Calibur and Marvel and every other fighting game ever.

They wouldn't have to downgrade the graphics because the console is less powerful than some ancient arcade machine (which is Windows-based anyway). They wouldn't have to pay Sony/MS each time they want to update something. They wouldn't have to leave things out because of some arbitrary size limit on downloadable games. They could have better netcode. There's no input lag from the TV. There's no input lag built in to the system (wtf ps3 y u do dis). Instead of having to worry about "I have a PS3 arcade stick and my friend has a 360 one, how can we play" you can just plug them both in to the USB and they'll work fine. At the big tournaments like EVO or whatever, instead of having to set up all the consoles and televisions, they could just bring in a stack of laptops.

Just put it on Steam already, don't make it so difficult for yourself arghfsgjks :wall:

So just to clarify, the Burnout DLC on Amazon is what was meant to come with the game already?

I'm confused on the Burnout DLC. I bought it because cheap and finally something to use my AC but I'm thinking the "box" part of Burnout Paradise Box means it already came with the DLC anyway? I did the instant access link to your Origin account thing but I can't tell if I have the DLC or not or if I already had it anyway. Amalur shows I own the the two quest DLC and not the item DLC (with an option to buy) under status but the "status" section of the Burnout DLC is blank. :?:

Oh and you've got some interesting games there on Twitch. I'd try to sneak a peek but I don't have headphones at work. Now if you started Twitching at 1AM Green Witch Time... ;)

Some of those games like Loren I think could use some more promotion although I'm not sure how Twitchable a Visual Novel/RPG is. Seems like it's more fun to play than to watch but maybe I'm wrong. I won't find out though.

 
Burnout dlc does not come with ultimate box, you didn't have it til you bought it. If all your cars have automatically unlocked by themselves and/or you have the toy cars then you have activated the DLC.

But this only applies if I run it from Origin but not from Steam, correct?

Or does the Steam version still phone home to EA and recognize that you have the DLC?

Well what I meant was some EA games on Steam like some Bioware stuff or even Sims will contact EA's servers when you log in and recognize that you own such and such DLC even if it isn't sold on Steam, but maybe this game is so old it doesn't have you log into an EA account. *shrug*

Ah, OK. Sorry, can't help there then as I only own it on Origin. Though, I wish more DLC was like that. It's nice not having to worry about Mass Effect/Dragon Age DLC whether I'm on Steam or Origin. I wish that applied to cross platform as well as cross client since I have some games on console too.

I agree with you but games like Loren and 99 Spirits are very popular when I ask the community to vote.

I could probably do some 1am streams on Saturdays or Sundays but my weekend plans are always short notice.

So I bought it, and confirmed. The Bonus content works with the Steam version of the original game! You just need to activate it via Origin. Somehow Steam can recognize the DLC. It's like Magic!

Ah okay that's awesome. I know some people don't like the idea of having to login to an EA account when you are running from Steam but hey if it lets me play the DLC on Steam as well as Origin then I'm all for it.

About a year ago I became an active member of this community.  Initially I was just selling bundle leftovers in the trade thread, but the Steam thread soon sucked me in, with its cast of colorful characters.  I started posting, slowly, tentatively, first in this thread, and then others as I succumbed to bundle madness and full-blown CAG addiction.  My backlog increased by the hundreds.  In recent months I have come to appreciate and truly value the unique community we have on this site, and I feel the time has come for me to give something back.

On a related not to Drakensang: TRoT it was apparently stealth added on Steam to non-NA regions a little while back. That gave me some hope that maybe someone was awake at DTP and might add Venetica and Grey Matter at some point, but so far still crickets on that front.

The game logs into easydrive or whatever every time you start the game. Not sure if it still lets you compare times with your friends, I know the online store is offline but I think the multiplayer still works.

Hey guys, no offense - you both seem like nice people - but considering you both joined this month I'd like to wait a bit longer to give some of the regulars more of a chance. If no one else claims these games in a couple hours then of course you will be welcome to them. If they are claimed, I will reserve you each a spot in the second giveaway. Sound good?

No problemo, although I take offence to being called a 'nice' person. Badass would be more appropriate =D
 
On the one hand I don't have Drakensang:TROT, so my inner collector says "go for it"...

On the other hand I'm unlikely to play Drakensang:TROT in the next five years, so my inner-inner common-sense self says "so what's the point"...

I think I'll put them both in a locked room with no doors and let them duke it out.

Or you could hang onto the key for a year like I did before eventually giving it away! But at the moment rcsample has first dibs, I believe; just waiting for a PM back from him to confirm.
