  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I can deal with this month. Gives me a new game and a chance to get more achievements and lvl up my existing character so I can be prepared for my eventual playthrough of riptide.

 
Alright, since this is the last day of the GwG for Tomb Raider, should I pick Anniversary, Legend and Underworld up? Or should I wait for a pack with all 3 games? The DLC being $10 each in Legend and Underworld kinda makes me not want it.

Not bad I guess. I'm not really interested in either of those... but if I was, I'd probably already own them so that wouldn't help either. :lol: And you never know, I wasn't too interested in Assassin's Creed II, only played that because it was free and I fuckin' loved it.

The DLC for Legend is just Anniversary (you can buy it as DLC for Legend or as a standalone game).

Oh goody, another month of games I already own. IMO, that makes 3 months straight of good, free games from Microsoft. Besides, my hard drive needs rest from downloading games.

Here's another fun thing to do in Dead Island: Killing zombies in water and watching them drown.

I remember liking Toy Soldiers, but I forgot why. IIRC, it's an overhead tower defense game.

I have the physical of DI: GOTY but I'll dl this anyways. I got Toy Soldiers free and was cosidering TS: CW so it's nice that it's free.

I heard Table Tennis was a good game and it's Kinect compatible isn't it?

 
Well I might go pack and bash some zombies in Dead Island now with a different character and I do not have Cold War so this is a decent month.

 
Fable III, Shoot Many Robots, and Crackdown are my hauls so far from the promotion. Honestly, honestly, the best part of the promotion is that it is bringing more life to dead games.

I don't think the vision camera was even out yet when Table Tennis came out.

EDIT: Kinect Sports has table tennis though. That is really fun.

I assume you're referring to Spartan Assault for the 360? According to others, the $4.99 discounted price (for owners on WP or Win8) is not showing yet, likely a glitch in the system. Just hold out until later today or tomorrow if you're looking to get the discounted price.

 
Okay, so the rumors were true this time. May just be the most disappointing month for me: not because the games are terrible or anything, but I already have Dead Island, and the trial for Toy Soldiers didn't excite much. Oh well, I'm not even mad or anything, at least my backlog won't dramatically increase this month (at least this is what I like to tell myself, but deep down I'll finish the month buying 10+ games anyway...).

 
Absolutely no interest whatsoever in Dead Island, but heck yes on Toy Soldiers: Cold War.  I own the original Toy Soldiers, loved it, and have nearly got Cold War numerous times on sale.  Even better, free is awesome.

Cold War makes Feb. GWG worth it for me.

 
Awesome GWG month for me since I don't have to purchase Dead Island (got Tiptide as a gift from a friend). Also like the idea of Toy Soldiers, never wanted to buy!

I hate to be like this but I'd seriously like to see a sale on WRC Powerslide. It's less than a year old but seems perfect for a sale.

Happy to have picked up Mirrors Edge again. Really want the Pure Time Trials to be on sale too. Now would have been a perfect time.

Also seeing a lot of new people in Battlefield 1943... Still trying to play 100 matches. I'm somewhere over 50 right now. Ugh. At least it's fun most of the time!
 
I have it on very good authority that the February GWG are Watch Dogs and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.  When Microsoft higher-ups read that people were upset with having "old" games given to them, they decided to give us games that have yet to be released.  This is a big win for the consumer!

It has aged very well. It was a terrible game when it came out and still a terrible game today.

I bought it a year after it came out and even though my time stamps say it only took a day, it felt like I was playing the game for 50+ hours.

My sources say that Bill Gates is working on getting each of us a free Xbox 1 in lieu of GWG in March. They are really concerned that a few people on a forum are upset with their free games. It's funny that you mention My Horse and Me 2 because plans were in place to include a free horse with the download of the game. It was decided that not all people own land suitable for a horse, thus the free Xbox 1.

Posting a reminder that today is the expected delisting day for Zombie Driver HD and, as posted previously, the developer is giving away codes for it on their Facebook page.  (Note: I don't have a Facebook account, so the link just sends me to the sign up page and I don't know if they may be out of them.)

 
Hey, if you're disappointed by this month's GwG announcement, take heart: February is the shortest month, so you won't have to wait quite as long for the next batch.
 
You have to be really quick. The codes are used prob within 15 seconds of posting. I've been trying all week and the closest I've been is a minute and the codes are already used.  Only if they'd give a code with unlimited redemption.

Well it's too late now. No more codes at all.

 
I know Dead Island wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I had a ton of fun with it.  Granted, I was playing it co-op with my brother, and co-op with a friend makes any game better.  I beat it a while ago, but I'll sure as heck mess around with it again for free.

 
So Metro 2033 instead of Dead Island here? Hum...good thing is I never bought it even when it was like 5 bucks...still Dead Island would have been more interesting...oh well I will take what I get at least cold war is finally free and I can use my DLC I bought before getting this game lol
