Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Okay played about 1.2 hours of Card City Nights, decently fun card game. Reminds me a lot of a card game I played called Nature of the Beast. What you do is there is a 3x3 board, you place a card down each turn, and each card may/may not have arrows pointed in places. Each card has a symbol (normal, attack, defend, revive) and getting 3 or more of a symbol in a row causes the thing to go off (attack can attack an enemy card and kill them making the spot on their board worthless until it's removed or revived, or go for the opponents HP), defend gives you hp, and revive brings back a dead card on your board (not from your graveyard). A normal symbol acts as any of the symbols. For each of the symbols they add to there usefulness (If you have 3 cards with attack symbols and they all match they can do up to 3 damage). Cards have special abilities which add to the game. You win either by making someone use all their cards (can have 40 card decks max) or by them having their HP down to 0 (Once someone can't draw they take 1 damage every time they need to draw). You buy/win boosters and cards and it's generally a fun card game, I would recommend at the first weeks price.

Also the steam cards you may get might pay for about 40-50 cents off the purchase which isn't bad!

Recommended esp to those who like playing board games, ccgs or card games that act like board games like Nature of the Beast. It's easy to learn and good fun. I'm not sure of how long the game is but you need to get legendary cards and once you get them all (believe there are 8) you fight the final guy.

2 hours... and with their rubbish checkout system, I can't check the status of my order until I receive the email with the order number. :headache:

This Steam Valentines sale is like that box of shitty hard caramel chocolate that is too hard to chew. Pleasantly surprised that Steam was running a sale only to be disappointed in every game on sale.

I own Analogue and Hate Plus- which I recommend. So, yes, I'm currently being "that" guy. The CAG who owns the good game(s) on sale, but feels the need to bitch about a sale, because it doesn't benefit me.

Happy Valentines Day. I'm off to be cock blocked by my kids!
Nah. Long Live the Queen is great! Its like a Visual Novel+ Dark Souls+ Crusader Kings + Moe!
I own that one, but haven't found the time to play it yet.
I also think LLTQ is a decent deal for 50% @ $5 considering it's a fairly recent release as well as, imho, a good game.

25% off Girls Love Robots at around $5 is not bad either considering it's a day one release. I know it's not 25 cents in a bundle, but it looks cute and I bought it, though haven't tried it yet. Am about to.

*Edit: Okay it's a cute puzzle game with some funny humor and sound effects. Not bad, probably not worth $5 according to the cheapass code of honor but one to look out for when it goes 75% off or in a bundle if you like puzzle games.

Also, and I say this with love as someone with some experience in the matter, part of the problem is YOU OWN TOO MUCH SHIT.

O:)

Completely agree.

When I finally do have time to play a game it's really hard to decide which game to play. 40+ hour games with a story are out of the question. I quit the latest Tomb Raider when I saw that it implemented a skill tree. That's too much for me. I just wanted to climb trees and rocks and figure out dumbed down puzzles. If I had time for skill trees I'd play The Secret World. It would take me months to complete a 40+ hour game which wouldn't seem cohesive for a story driven game.

Also, games that require long sittings are impossible to play. It pains me that I can't have a 10-14 hour session with Civ 5 or even start Skyrim. I miss the days of playing an RPG to the point of neglecting my bodies necessities. Grinding enemies for hours on end while developing a bladder infection is a thing of the past. I miss those days.

So now what happens is I look up a handful of interesting games on How long to beat get overwhelmed with making a decision then just waste my little free time reading or watching clips.

If I do play a game these days it's Binding of Isaac.

Happy Valentine's Day from GameAgent! We're giving away free copies of Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre all weekend to GameAgent members.

Very awesome, thanks for posting this. It took 32 minutes to receive my Order confirmation w/ the key (@ 8:45 PM MST). I'm so glad I didn't give in to the GMG $2.25 price now. Thanks again xanchui! And thanks to Ashes for the BL2 Valentines Celebratory skins key post! Double free BL2 DLC today. :whee:

Also, I have to agree with Neuro, Gummy Bears are so damn good. So are those sour gummy life savers. I don't often splurge on candy, but when I do, I prefer [customspoiler='Dos Gummies.']

I feel the same way from time to time. Getting wrapped up in a complex game just means I'll forget everything about it when I come back to finish it -- because my short attention span clearly won't let me concentrate on just one game.

However, I'd encourage you to give TR a chance. The skill tree doesn't matter much -- you can't go wrong with what you choose. You'll eventually have enough points to get every single skill if you're the type that likes to explore a bit for points. Put points in whatever you want and enjoy the ride. The checkpoint/area system makes TR fairly easy to leave and come back. It's not an overly-long game; maybe 11 hours in all.

This!

Don't worry about choosing the "right" skills. It's a simple game, just enjoy it.

Not sure if serious. You just pick which ability you want to boost. By the end of the game you have enough points or whatever to max out every skill, it's just a matter of what order you feel like doing it. It doesn't make the game 40 hours.

Gummi candies? Someone's got to pull this thread back on topic.

And that someone... is me.

Looks like Sunasun hacked another account.

I'd be more tempted if it was, as the steam masses are fond of saying, "an overpriced mobile port". Not sure what justifies it being more than double the price on Steam that it is on iOS, but I guess that's the usual PC tax devs are fond of implementing :bs:

EDIT: well I take back what I said, as for once it looks like a dev actually put a lot of work into making the Steam version worth the extra cost. Not that I'm going to suddenly buy it or anything, but I definitely like to see this sort of thing and hope other developers take notice: http://steamcommunity.com/app/263460/discussions/0/558747922303114366/#c558747922304963090

Just fyi, you get key instantly if you use 'mobile browser'. (or make site believe so with a user agent changer)

Why? I have no idea. You also get email instantly, so it's not just that they chose to show key on mobile browsers.

So, I played some Titanfall and I gotta say its good fun. Runs real good too on my laptop. Now to see if any russians are sellin it for cheap hehe, cause I wouldn't pay 60 for dis

That Game Agent site is weird.  They don't even have a spot (that I've found) to review past purchases, keys, etc.  Haven't gotten my key in a few hours now.  Not especially worried since I know they're slammed but thought I could find a way around waiting on the email.

I tried again using my (Android) tablet with the interface set to "iPad" and it went through and gave me a key right away on the screen.  Your mileage may vary.

Good Morning. I'll just leave this little bit of wisdom.

The things you learn from video games.

That did get a proper "order complete" page, but it didn't show any key.

I just got an email from Digital River that it's processing my previous, PC-based order for the BL2 DLC.  If it ever goes through, I'll let ya all know.

When I enter my order number and password into their site, they say the order was confirmed and they're processing the key.

Are Oniken keys still being negotiated? I tried like some did and tried the Desura code and nothing (tried it without spaces too), I would like it on steam for sure and cards obviously.

Good, I have time to level up some more characters and frolic in some handeld goodness before the next iteration.

Borderlands 3 Isn't in Development, Gearbox Says
That's because they haven't figured out how to get Sega to pay for the development yet.

Nothing says Valentine's Day like Shift Codes

...skins and Moxxi's Critical Heartbreaker shotgun. (A repeat of last year, but you can redeem again.) Shotgun goes to the first toon you log into after.

Sort of a shame they didn't update this for Krieg... He would look pretty in pink. :D

Did you got the game with Indie Royale?
Honestly I think I got the game with every bundle it was in (yes all 4 bundles on igbwiki)....*blushes*.

Edit: They key from the Groupees retro bundle worked, though the Desura code the Desura client gave didn't.

I believe there is an issue with Indie Royale keys, because the key is the same for all the games on the bundle.

If you got with other bundles, I believe you can just copy paste the desura keys and use them directly on steam.

At the risk of inciting The Wrath of Mooby (MOOOOOBBBYYYYYY) I'll comment a bit more on Oniken

Posts on Reddit seem to indicate it's a YMMV thing at the moment and that they may still be in the process of registering some of the keys and/or there's some problem with some of them, particularly the Indie Royale ones.

If you have it from multiple bundles I'd dig through all those bundle sites and try all the keys. If you've got 4 one of them is bound to register. Desura itself I believe will only show the first one activated, which is probably Indie Royale if you got their July Jubilee bundle.

Same here when I tried again using Safari. Oddly, it pushed my prior order through also - so I have two pending orders where they are confirmed and "processing the key".

Good news.  With the new tag system I have added the new '2deep4u' tag -- be sure to do your part and label such games appropriately.

Bad Rats, Fowl Space, Rush Bros, Day One Garry's Incident, Postal 2, Grimm and whatever else I can think of later all tagged. Edit: Guise of the Wolf Also tagged. Edit, Edit: Typing Of The Dead Overkill also tagged. Looks like my campaign to ruin any meaning to the tagging process is going swimmingly.

This is going out of hands 5th foil in 24 hours.

(Not from Oniken thought)

I wonder if they did they increase drop rates for foils? I used to get foils like one every two-three months or so.

If anyone has unidled cards, go try it out :D
