i'm debating buying this as well. I'm hoping for the best w/this ubisoft weekend...hoping rayman games go on sale and prince of persia games, as well.

i doubt they do though...maybe prince of persia games will. I'm willing to bet Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy games get a sales day.

I'm hoping Call of Juarez Bound in Blood gets a 75% off, then I'll be a very happy chappy.

Assassins Creed, Far Cry and Tom Clancy games all had franchise packs added to steam registry so yeah, those are pretty much a given. I think Rayman has a good chance of appearing too.

the only reason i didn't think rayman would've had a sales day was because i thought there were only 2 rayman games on steam...forgot about raving rabbids. I'd actually prefer Prince of Persia to be on sale, because i'd buy the franchise pack for that. I'd probably only buy rayman origins out of the rayman games, and that's only if hit 75% off

There isn't a Prince of Persia franchise pack on Steam. There hasn't been one for a -very- long time. :(

 
Been playing that dead ninja game. The first couple minutes of playing I thought it was just another common indie platform. Several minutes later I couldn't stop playing it. Is amazing, it really reminds me of the 8 bit era. The music is great, graphics are fluid, controls are tight (not always, but most of the time) and the action and gameplay are really fun.

Another game I was playing is 99 levels of hell. Is fun... But... spelunky.

Do you mean giftable in general or cross region? With the different changes and all the games they are adding I wouldn't risk it anymore, but I would think one of the traders would be the best to ask.

Make sure you always check the correct package id after you find the app id in steamdb. In this case both the RU and US package id are 36409 which has NO region gifting/trading/activation restrictions at this time. You're safe for now.

 
Nice to see that some of the Region-locked games were reverted for purchases already made.

I hope my South Park gift follows suit - its still locked.  (Along with, apparently, Thief.)

 
What interesting is a lot of the publishers that added the regional trade/gift restrictions yesterday are now reversing them.

If anyone plays Loadout regulary let me know... I would love to get you added to my steam and in game friend's list.

I'm sure their was some negative fallout from this... but not nearly enough for me to feel like this reversal was done because of it. So either it was done in error, it was a test for future action, or allot of these developers know that, yes, why they are "losing" some money they are actually way better off doing so. A reduced sale is still better than no sale.

I like Tom Clancy's games. Some are better than others but those are fun games. From the rainbow six games I can recommend Vegas 2. From the Ghost Recon pack, AW2. From splinter cell, I have them all but only played Conviction, and was great. HAWX is great arcade action, don't expect a simulator. Seems 1 is better than 2.

I may be getting Rainbow six lockdown and some other ghost recon game.

Chaos Theory is the best of the traditional Splinter Cell games (ie. hardcore stealth trial and error gameplay with cool goggles), but I preferred Conviction out of all the games because it streamlined a lot of extraneous mechanics and wrapped it all up in a super slick presentation with an engaging if predicable story (a first for the series imo). Both are worth playing, but I'd recommend anyone new to the series start with the oldest you plan to play and go through them chronologically because it's REALLY hard to go back (speaking as someone who loves the series and has tried).

But what am I saying, you'll hate them all anyway.
