There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

That happened to me recently as well. I was thinking about buying Crisis 3 for $5. Luckily I check, I wouldn't be able to run it, so I just got on PS3 when it was on sale with plus.

I played like 2 hours of CoD: Ghosts MP portion last night - I was NOT impressed at all. Maybe I've hit CoD burn-out or something finally after all these years (since CoD4: MW), but the MP feels like "more of the same." Usually, w/ CoD MP's - I can play here and there for a few hours...and all is cool. Last night - nope. After 2 hours, I actually felt DONE.

It's not bad by any means - it's still CoD MP; and it's still solid w/ its foundation and everything. But, it just wasn't doing much for me. Something seriously needs to be done to push this franchise forward & evolve it...or something.

{shoulder shrug}

I'll certainly play more during this Free Weekend, here and there - but, I don't think it's gonna do much for me; and I'm not sure even how much I'll even want to play now.

If you try to enter a key twice when it's already registered to your account it does that instead of saying something logical like 'You already own this/previously registered this key'. It did that to me last night when I tried to activate my HoMM VI complete key again because Steam was showing I didn't own the DLC. But then I ran the game and all the DLC was showing as owned in the game, just not in the Steam or UPlay clients.

The whole system is weird.

Ah.. shit.. I DID buy Crysis3 for $5. Guess that goes further into the backlog than I'd originally planned! lol

I played a little on my GF's computer as well. We were going to do the Extinction mode together, instead she watched me for a couple rounds. It was alright I guess. We then played a couple rounds of MP (taking turns) and our consensus was .. meh.. ESPECIALLY after (what we thought was) pretty epic Titanfall MP during the demo.

Yes.

Problem w/ MP for me is - I used to play the living hell out of it, back in the day - i.e. late 90's and early 2000's. I used to live playing HL1: MP; Quake 2 + 3 MP; UT series MP's; COD4: MW; and BF games.

And I don't think it's honestly MP portions in competitive FPS's/TPS's really evolved much since probably COD4: MW.
