Not sure if anyone said this already, but Amazing Spiderman 2 is around 15/16$ on the Russian store, and its not region locked. I advise getting one and activating it asap(while they can't region lock the running of the game itself, they may decide to put a gift/trading restriction)

I would be happy to help people getting it but paypal is fuck ing me currently.

Yeah, it was slow a few days ago, but I just assumed it was Steam since it seems to have instituted rolling blackouts.

Wish I waited for Lego Marvel instead of getting it on Gamefly a few weeks ago.

I thought Lord of the Rings was boring, the best one on there is Batman 2. I have Marvel but haven't played enough of it to give an opinion, it's possible it could be better than Batman 2. I have not played the Harry Potter ones.

Since they all play very similarly, your best bet is to key in on your favorite license. I've played all of the ones that are on sale except Marvel.

Batman > Batman 2

Harry Potter 1-4 > HP 5-7

The older games are a bit simpler, have better level layouts, and are far less tedious in my opinion. Don't get me wrong - they are all good LEGO games. Batman also has a much simpler and more navigable hub.

They all essentially play identically, with the exception of the world layout (Batman 2, Marvel, and LotR have open worlds, Batman 1 has standard levels, and Potter 1-4/5-7 has a hybrid of the two with individual levels spaced around a large castle/world). It mostly comes down to what franchise you enjoy the most, since half the fun is seeing movies and characters you know turned into silly Legos with lots of slapstick humor.

I personally enjoyed HP 1-4 the most, but you can't really go wrong with any of them especially for $5 a piece (though if you're going for either HP game or Batman 1, they are currently cheaper from GMG).

See, for me, the first LEGO HP was when I first began to realize that every game since LEGO SW was slowly getting worse and worse. I've never finished a LEGO game since failing to finish the the first Harry Potter.

I'm really looking forward to Marvel though... cuz Marvel is cool.

Got both HP games in last GMG sale. That's the only source material of the Lego games I'm a really big fan of...seriously debating the Marvel Lego game though

 
Well, I decided to idle Guise of the Wolf so I thought I'd try playing it...

It didn't last long. No option for Invert Mouse/Y-Axis.

Can you make your own characters in all the Lego games? Or is that just a Lego Star Wars thing? I'd love to make my own Lego LotR characters.

Since they pulled the Humble Indy Bundle Complete Edition for SR3, I am now determined to wait for the same thing to happen with SR4.

Granted that was THQ's dying breath, but I suppose Deep Silver does have a good relationship with Humble. Still, with how Humble works these days, I'd expect you're only going to see an SR4 megapack in a Humble Bundle at a very high tier.

My kids love Lego games. For them Marvel > Batman 2 > Batman 1

May be because they like to go around chasing each other on the open world and using multiple characters.

I haven't played any Lego game, can't tell which one is better, but from what I saw, Batman 2 looks great.

At least I got one that I was missing: Rock of Ages. Great drop regardless of my misfortune. :D

Well, I pulled a classic CAG move... Saw that you grabbed that, thought "Huh? I didn't even notice that on the list, what is that?" So then I look up the game on Steam and am like "Dang, that looks pretty cool! Wish I didn't miss that bundle it was in."

And then it dawns on me. I didn't miss that bundle. The game is in my Steam library.

Sometimes I find games in my library from bundles that I didn't buy and can't remembering spodering.

 
Just thought of a game idea that seemed brilliant at first... Steam Sale: The Game!  75% or GTFO!  Bonus points if the game is Region Free!! Post extra keys for sale on CAG!

 
Still keeping my fingers crossed for Resident Evil 4 HD Steam sale! I know it just came out a month ago, but it is still basically a port of a ten year old game. Despite that it is one of my all time favorites.
