Amazon has some great warehouse deals, and most of their used games are in like new condition (condition listed can be acceptable, good, very good, like new, or new). Please post specific deals you find via Warehouse deals in this thread. Check latest posts for the newest deals, or click the link below.

WIKI: It seems people had a few suggestions from the last thread in terms of updating the OP. I've changed a few things, but if there is anything else you want to change, feel free to do so.

F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What states does Amazon charge sales tax?
Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the following states are subject to tax:

Arizona
California
Connecticut

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

edit: contribution of awd deals

x360 Assassin's creed III LN $11.14

I have the PS4 and XB1. I say if you got the money for it and you're in the black (no debt or finances are good and clear), then go for it. If you don't quite have the money, then no worries sticking with the previous gens. They still got great games.

Edit: holy smokes lady ^
Fixed; this bothered me,
for finances you are in the red (debts) or black (profits)

adding machines have a tape that is printed in black and red. heres an image

There it is!

You do know that AWD isn't some "backdoor, gotta have the password or get accepted to the club" typa thing right? You're free to look for stuff yourself and not just totally rely on the kind people here who share.

It's more annoying when it's pointless console war BS that I couldn't care less about. If the off-topic comments are about Videogames with strippers and Food Network hosts with cleavage, I don't mind.

Still a bit off topic, but I had my first unreadable disc issue on my Wii U. Disc was flawless. Wasn't an AWD deal (Gamefly), but I still find it odd. Is it for sure a software issue?

Maybe someone's started swapping bad AWD discs with Gamefly ones. What was it?
It's quite a jump, but I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe someone shady swapped it with a Gamefly disc instead of returning it to AWD because more than 30 days passed before they booted it up.

Strong getting horny on a forum about video games
I would say it's more "strange" than "strong," but whatever floats your boat. It's a free country so I'm not going to tell you how to feel. I guess it does feel pretty "strong."

I'm partial to believing these bum WiiU discs are a hardware problem. A system that gets a patch twice a year makes me skeptical. It's hard to screw up a Blu-ray Disc.

I thought that Wii-U discs weren't bluray format, but instead some kind of propriety Nintendo designed discs that just have a "bluray coating" to protect them. I might be wrong though.

Maybe this coupled with a system that gets a patch twice a year is causing the problems. I honestly have no idea. I'm glad that people post about it on CAG though, so that I test all of my pre-owned Wii-U games when I buy them.

Right now I'm actually starting to think I should open up and test my games that are still factory sealed.

25gb disc that are propriety to the wii u

Honestly, I wonder if someone's taking wii-u disc dumps and trying to burn them onto random discs (missing both encryption and the proprietary format)

So people say that the WiiU has no software, here's the entire N64 library:

That's the entire generation and some of those in the picture are color variants if you look closely.

Unless someone's gotten a hold of boxes of actual blank WiiU discs I highly doubt it. Never seen or felt a disc that's even remotely like the WiiU ones.

I'm still in the simplest explanation is the most likely camp in that it's a manufacturing problem on Nintendo's end and they're ending up on AWD because people are returning them.

I guess maybe they were doing it to counteract piracy or something? Now people on AWD and Gamefly are getting defective discs that still look brand new. I wonder if they were ruined from a resurfacing machine or cleaning machine or something like that.

It's kind of frustrating. I just wish Nintendo didn't spend their time and money on designing crap like this proprietary disc format and a touchscreen gamepad that videogame developers still haven't been able to utilize well. It would have been cool if they put the time and money into beefing up the hardware to be competitive with the Xbone and PS4. Spilled milk now.

That makes a lot more sense than my dumb disc resurfacing theory.

... I have a stack of about 15 sealed Wii U games I should probably open up and test... fuck ing shaq-fu

and I just ordered pikmin 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3 from BB.

I would assume they dont think people would be able to pirate games, think about about N64 cartridges and Gamecube disc, they have been doing it for years, but someone will always find a way

Nintendo has the money :)

I could see something like that screwing them up since others have theorized that the rounded edge could have something to do with copy protection and that would naturally screw it up. Sadly we'll probably never really know and can just hope that these discs stop resurfacing as the case were. :whee:

I've had one wii u game that was ruined because a little fleck of the front printing came off. There's no shiny metal core for many wii u disks (it reflects off the back of the front). If the front is damaged at all, they're gone. I am really careful with my disks, I owned this disk from new and it worked fine till the fleck came off (not a scratch either but a little oddly shaped fleck not much bigger than a pin-point).

If look at the back of these bad disks while holding them up to a light do any of them have holes you can see through?

Just want to chime in on the Wii U disc read problems... I had the error on my flawless Super Mario 3D World (not bought from Amazon Warehouse) the other day. It only happened when I tried to load the game through the Miiverse screen, but when I tried again from the regular game /app select screen it worked fine. So yea, my guess it is a software issue, my disc looks perfect and has worked perfectly for months.

But anyways back on topic, this thread has become a new addiction, hoping to find a deal on The Show 14 for my new PS3/Vita!

Kinda tired of there being so many re releases of games, I'd prefer we just get..you know..new stuff, but it's all good. I never finished ME3 but played the crap out of the other two.

That said I just finished dark souls 2. What a good freakin game.
