I was dead wrong on the Union Buster achievement on Saints Row 3. Killing people with cameras won't even add up towards the achievement. Like others have said, you just kill cameramen during the Gangstas In Space missions, which are DLC, so it looks like that's a DLC only achievement.

Easy one though. Cameramen are everywhere, especially at the end of scenes.

I swear, Playfire cannot get their shit together...

What's gone wrong for me lately? Well first, NO Croixleur rewards whatsoever. Next, only two out of three Sweezy Gunner achievements went through (of course the 50p one doesn't). And finally, even though Playfire clearly shows that I have $14.02 in my balance (which is everything that has gone through), my GMG only has $12.25 in the balance.

Nothing ever works right, omigawd already. And of course their support is taking a week to reply to my ticket about Croixleur, and now I have two more problems to report and ugh. Fuuuuck you Playfire.

Double post, but they added a separate list of achievements for the Director's Cut version (it goes up to 3 pounds now). If anyone wants, I can sell you a Steam gift for it for $3.50 PayPal.

It had duplicates thought:

  • Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut - unlock TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM - £0.25
  • Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut - unlock TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM - £0.50
Seems to be very hard to do in four days, so no free games :(

Hmmm, I was going to pass on Strike Suit Zero since I don't own it, but just saw Tremorgames has it for 895 coin (.89 cents) so went ahead and ordered one and will give these a go tonight and tomorrow.

Any reason my PlayFire credit isn't going over to GMG? It hasn't updated there in awhile it seems.
If you need the credit instantly then buy something, even a cheap DLC. It'll transfer the rest of your credit over after the sale is complete.

So is the Rewards page for anyone else fucked up right now? It's not showing any game titles.

12 May '14 You played a game for the first time! £0.10

12 May '14 You unlocked Power Up in a game £0.25

Anyways, just cleared out the Serious Sam DDXXL achievements. Took about 2 hours.

The Untouchable Sam one is easy, put the difficulty on lowest (Chilled), and lower the speed as Fox suggested, and quicksave as much as possible. If you reload from a quicksave (where you haven't gotten hurt) it will still count towards the achievement, no matter how many times you reload a quicksave.

Gnarbody's Fool (Kill 50 Gnars) should come in the second stage after killing a million of them to cover the spikes in their bodies, first stage is best for Untouchable Sam. The one that takes forever is Dino's Best Friend because you have to get over halfway through the game to get to the part where the dinos have helmets. It's easy, just requires much more gameplay than the other 2.

Gnarbody's Fool wasn't unlocking there for me even when I ramped up the difficulty to get more Gnarrs, but it also works if you do the Gnarr challenge arena where you have to kill 100 gnarrs. You should unlock that challenge after the first or second stage.

This game has been a blast so far. Shame I had it sitting in my backlog for so long.

Just the first act until you get into the cut scene or whatever. It'll show you got the achievement as you start Act 2.
I guess I'm just so helluva tough I never notice I've been hit.

This should be a darn sight easier getting this achievement with a 5 gun stack with 2 laser rifles though. =D

Agreed. I got a key for free from Sepioth when he was giving them out because I already have it on 360 (for the "exclusive" levels that ended up ported to PC). I should have played this game sooner.

When you say the intro level does that mean the very first Act 1 Egyptian Assault? Or the whole Egyptian level?
The game's broken up into 3 Acts (Act 1 is Egypt, Act 2 is Dinoland and Act 3 is something I don't know). Each act has stages/levels. You only need to clear the first stage, not the whole act.

k finally got it.

It's still such a fun game that even replaying the first level 5 or 6 times is fun.

I'll definitely be revisiting the game later to try the Serious difficulty and challenge levels n stuff

Any game where you have to fight a pink purse holding dinosaur is awesome in my book.

New Head-to-Head just got announced.

Doom 3: BFG vs. CS: GO

Please vote for Doom, you can still pick it up on sale for $5 from Steam in the next half-hour.

Cool, I just got Doom3 BFG recently when it was $4.99. Hopefully they'll use different achievements than what they already gave last time they had Doom3 rewards.

Me too. You can get CS: GO cheaper when it's on sale, but unless it goes on sale in the next week, I'll be S.O.L. :wall:
You can trade for it for a decent price with some of the bots, but it's a MP game so getting the Achievements will be tedious.

Doom 3 30 - 70 CS:GO :(

fuck em they have achievements already so it not like they gain anything. I want to play Doom 3 finally.
Well, if they undo/redo them in SAM do they still get credit for them? That's probably what they plan to do.

That too. The Doom 3: BFG rewards last time were pretty easy. I just missed out on getting Doom 3: BFG on sale, as some of you may remember. :p

You played a game for the first time!

£0.10

It was an eye-opening experience. Who knew games could be so much fun!

If you need the credit instantly then buy something, even a cheap DLC. It'll transfer the rest of your credit over after the sale is complete.
Maybe, but I don't think that's my problem. The credit HAS transferred, shows in Playfire, shows the check mark, etc. It just didn't actually transfer? Idk. I'll try that though and see if that solves anything.

How difficult are those achievements?
Besides Completionist, they're all pretty easy. Just note that you need the Raptor DLC for Double Shot and the Heroes of the Fleet DLC for Icarus Again.

Take One for the Team requires you to get to level 7 so you can unlock the bomber and use it to survive a torpedo impact to get the achievement. That's about halfway through the game, so that's the only other one that is reasonably time consuming to get.

The game is fun though, I should have played it earlier. It was fun grabbing all the achievements.

So I played a bit of Fistful of Frags. Being a F2P multiplayer only FPS I knew what I was getting myself into, but damn, this game looks like it came out 10 years ago. The gameplay is pretty mediocre as well, this game has "half-assed" written all over it. Despite all that, it still managed to be mildly entertaining, at least for the short time I played it.

The first achievement is "kill-stealing" from 20 people, the second achievement is beating 5 of your steam friends in fisticuffs, and the last one is getting 10 kills while "over-encumbered" with weapons. I'm halfway through the first achievement after about an hour, but I suppose the 2nd is the easiest if you have friends

Yes, I figured out what that old online tank game was called! The one that Sweezy Gunner vaguely reminded me of.

It was actually called Battlefield and was like the most popular game on an old free online game site called bonus.com, but that shut down in 2005 and Battlefield died with it. Thankfully some loyal fans got a hold of the source code and brought it back!

http://tankpit.com/

Gonna be interesting to try this again.

Well my Playfire rewards or really anything Playfire hasn't worked for me for like a month and a half. Apparently I have Schrodinger's Playfire profile. If I login on the web I get a 500 error but I can login through the client and my avatar is showing up in the corner so the account still exists, but then when it tries to load pages in the client it gets a 500 error. My profile is showing up on Neuro's profile as one of his friends but you you try to click through it gets a 500 doesn't exist error. Except if it didn't exist than how is my profile name and avatar showing on Neuro's friends list? How am I able to log into the client (even if it doesn't show me anything once I do)?

I was contemplating writing to their support but then I saw this thread.

Playfire support is a joke...

Started 1 day ago by Makaliako

Makaliako posted 1 day ago

I sent a ticket 3 weeks ago, yet no answer. Is this some sort of a joke?

WirelessPillow posted 1 day ago

Can you be more specific? what was the ticket about?

or are you just intending to yell out frustration?

Makaliako posted 1 day ago

I can't link my steam account with playfire, it says something like : "The steam ID is already linked with another account". I've just registered to playfire(3 weeks ago that is), so I don't see how that's possible.

hecate900 posted 1 day ago - 1 post in total

Yep I totally agree Maka, I had a ticket open for literally 2 weeks before I updated my ticket telling them about their absoulte piss poor customer/tech support.

Coincedentally right after that update my ticket was addressesd and resolved withing two days.

It appears one must scream and kick to get things done.

dreaminstereo posted 1 day ago

Hi, our support team have had a lot of requests lately, but are going through all tickets as best they can. Your ticket will be dealt with soon, so please be patient.
Three weeks is not best as they can. Not even close. That's Ashot P being the lone person answering inquiries after the shit hit the fan with the Bethsda price mistake at Gamersgate level of support. If someone hasn't gotten a response to a support inquiry in 3 weeks there's absolutely nothing that would lead them to believe they "will be dealt with soon" and asking someone who waited 3 weeks for support with no answer to be patient is a big fat fuck you.

Fistful of Frags is fucking fun.

Frag Robber isn't particularly easy to get. You have steal 20 kills, so that means getting the last hit while two people are fighting each other and have been hit by someone else. And yes, the person who got the first shot or two in HAS to be nearby. You'll get this eventually by just playing the game, which is really fun, so even though it's a low yield reward, it's still fun to get.

SXJ7Aq0.jpg
:

Best Friends is the easiest one to get. All you have to do is kill a Steam friend with your fists 5 times. If anyone wants help with this one, lemme know and I'll host a game.

SXJ7Aq0.jpg
:

£0.50

Overweighted is kind of tough. You have to kill 10 players while you're 100% overweight. That means you'll need to run around picking up any dropped weapons you see or any chests you come across, and then kill people while you're slow and encumbered by the weight of too many weapons. I guess I would suggest you get 100% overweight, then find a good place to snipe with the Smiths (or Sharps if you somehow got one). This one may take awhile

If anyone wants to play, let me know. I'm surprised how fun this game is so far. PASS THE WHISKEY.

Well, I did mine for the day.  Got the Gold one for Swipecart, Union Buster, and the car jack one on Saint's Row the Third.  It actually took me about five minutes because I had it on easiest difficulty and just let the cars pile at an intersection.

Started the Assassinations and it was fun, but I don't have time to do all 36 or kill 1000 gang members by the time the rewards die.

The gem one for Swipecart got way too tedious after 20 stages and when they introduced the boost mechanic.

The next few days will be dedicated to SSZ, Al Emmo, and Fistful of Frags.

I hope KF2 will be $29.99 or less MSRP.  The original was $19.99.

New rewards.

Available until Monday 19 May, 2014 @ 23:59 UTC:

  • 3 Stars of Destiny - play for the first time - £0.10
  • 3 Stars of Destiny - unlock A Long Way To Go - £0.10
  • 3 Stars of Destiny - unlock The Knight's Purse - £0.25
  • 3 Stars of Destiny - unlock The Explorer - £0.50
  • Deadly Sin 2 - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Memento Mori 2 - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Millennium - A New Hope - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Millennium - A New Hope - unlock The Examiner - £0.10
  • Millennium - A New Hope - unlock Kid Indy - £0.25
  • Millennium - A New Hope - unlock Resistance Orb Collector - £0.50
  • Wildlife Park 3 - play for the first time - £0.10

There's also a bunch for Dynasty Warriors 8 rewards for #FakeCAGs. Wildlife Park 3 is available to anyone who bought the $1-tier of the Humble Simulator Weekly, and it looks like Millennium's a repeat (which is good as I missed it last time). Guess they're desperate for sales on it . :p

Oh, 3 Stars of Destiny was recently in the Patrick Scott Paterson bundle at ShinyLoot ($4). Kinda wish I'd grabbed it now as both non-Steam titles have been greenlit (so 6 Steam games for $4).

1000 gang members. If you have the DLCs, select the Saints crusader vehicle (tank), go to any point in the map where there is a gang presence and blast them. They will then come in raids... you just blast them all while moving. Is really easy (don't shoot the cops)

Hmmm, I'll have to check to see. I know I have some DLC but not all of it. I have the season pass and probably a handful of the random cosmetic one. Thanks for the tip though, will try it.

Edit:

Looks like it was in the free DLC Tony gave out so I definitely have it!

Apparently not. At least the achievements are different this time. These are the achievement rewards from last time, not sure if they planned it so you ended up getting the new ones during the last set of achievements. ->
