  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Eh, I never expect a corporation to do anything. I "hope" and base that hope on previous sales of GwG freebies, but I just think it's unfair to oneself to be waiting for a sale and it never comes. Just sets yourself up for disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I think it's smart to put DLC on sale for a free game/game on sale atm, but MS just doesn't think like that 100% of the time. We could see a sale.......or not. Just trying to temper people's "expectations." :whistle2:

Then let me rephrase that - given previous GwG sales, there's good chances of SR3 stuff being on sale, and given that SR4 stuff also goes on sale fairly often, that wouldn't be surprising much either. I have a harder time believing they'll put the first two games on sale though, given that I don't remember such frequent sales on those. We'll see in a few hours anyway.

 
Didn't care for the tutorial section of the trial for Super Time Force, but bought the game anyways on X1 because I had a nice amount of credit from Bing.

Full game is very fun. Especially the boss fights. Unlocking new characters with different abilities is going to make replaying the game still fun.

Anybody know how to watch saved replays?

Quick tip, put the other games into the backlog and bump State of Decay to the front, you will not be disappointed.

Yeah I don't think they're working, could be a bug. I mentioned it in the STF thread. It's really cool you can see your replay and just like any replay for competitive games, Starcraft and whatnot comes to mind, you'll be able to analyze and improve your play. Your first run is sooo slow it's pretty funny.

 
So I just used my code for the SR3 Season Pass on my US Account I don't think I will be able to play the DLC with my German Account though since SR3 has a German Only Version and no DLC achievements (1000 GS Game)...conclusion: Just wasted a perfectly good SR3 Season Pass...(and no I wasn't able to use it on my German Account, I guess because it wasn't compatible in the first place since it was a code from the US region)

I Stand corrected, I guess me putting in $25 XBox Gift Card means Microsoft loved me or just knew I already owned the game and didn't give a fuck.

Never may be a bit much, but it's much less likely to hit the consoles than it is to hit the website. Didn't mean to sound like I was not calm, as it's not my download having issues. Haha.

Here (Spain) it isn't available through the site neither, even when it says free with gold, when you go to purchase, they charge you. I'll download it tomorrow, I guess, I still have 15 full days LOL

Lol. Yup. Actually, I tried purchasing from the site first as it said FREE, then when I hit purchase it gave me the site error. I backed up and hit purchase when it said $19.99, and it came up as free.
 
Dumb question. Can I "check" the validity of an XBL download code on Xbox One like I could for 360? Want to see if this Trials Fusion pass is still valid (got the game used).
 
Ok, done, now it's really FREE :D

A shame that they didn't put on sale their DLC's. Let's hope they'll do it later, but I don't have any confidence in that.

XBLA games also on PC are one of the few times I actually get a PC game cheaper than physical (Being part of this site XD).

But yeah it is worth it for $10, but if you are gonna hold out, more power to you, it will hit that price eventually. But it was $5 on PC, and as they both are digital sales, I can see it hitting $5 or MAYBE being a GWG later this year.

You can check on xbox.com now it'll tell you what you're about to download before you download which is a cool new feature on the site

 
Are any of the DLCs for Saints Row on sale as well? Thought I could check some out.


On a happier note for my backlog, I almost done Gears 1. I got it when I bought Gears Judgement but never got around to finishing the game. One more act left and I will have finally played the whole Gears series!
 
My biggest fear with Super Time Force was that it was going to be too hard. I suck at these types of games and the stream I was watching while it downloaded had a guy constantly saying how hard it was. Luckily it wasn't too difficult. Achievements are hard, but just playing the game isn't bad. I still have 1 last area (I think) to complete, so maybe that part will be really hard. So far I've pretty much only used the first 3 characters. In most levels I only use the Rambo guy. Some bosses I'll use the shield guy.

Only part I've had trouble with is the brain boss and even that wasn't too difficult. I had to restart a couple times to give myself more time. There were a few levels that I kept running out of time as I was at the very end, but I was able to rewind and add a split second to finish them.

Unless something changes after beating the last area (middle level), this game is set up for DLC and I am very much looking forward to it.

 
More just curious in case it ever comes to Sony systems, since Capy has said it's only a timed exclusive and I've had my eye on the game well before my ban.

I wouldn't buy another MS system if both Nintendo and Sony both discontinued all production and did a full recall tomorrow.

What if MS promised that the Penguins would win next season if you did. Hmm? :p

 
So, both the Mass Effect and Skyrim Mash-Up DLCs for Minecraft are on sale for 25% off ($3). This is the first time either of them has been on sale, and may possibly be the best discount we end up getting on them (though I could see them going to 50% later on), so go grab them if you're interested.

 
Is the DLC for PvZ GW Xbone installed as part of the 2.9GB patch when you first install the game?

I'm not seeing a listing for it in the store on the console. (the DLC, that is)
