I know this may be a stupid question, but if I use an online $5 rewards certificate for Wolfenstein: The New Order, will I still get the $20 in RZ points and the $5 e-gift card?
Yes. The payment method doesn't matter. Note that the $5 e-gift card may still be questionable for new orders, but it is likely that everyone will get it.

Very nice additions , expected some , others like sunset and halo added this early I'm surprised about . Best part for me is I planned on getting all the games , except for ESO , Sims , and unsure about sunset overdrive .

so for me its gonna be...

-Wolfenstein

-Mario Kart 8

-Destiny

-Arkham Knight

-AC Unity

-Far Cry 4

-Halo 5

And possibly Sunset.  Watch Dogs I have $15 promo credit on an Amazon preorder so that one I will sit out on.

For me

Watch Dogs

Destiny

Arkham Knight

Far Cry 4

With the $20 and now probably $5 and the Doom beta code I am slightly tempted on Wolfenstein but will likely pass.

Probably COD even though I should probably pass.

Should ALWAYS pass on CoD. Unless its the Treyarch one. Then you should possibly consider it.

For me:
Wolfenstein
Watch Dogs LE
Destiny
Arkham Knight

I'll share the rest with a friend.

HOPEFULLY Rocksteady (almost inevitably) and Bungie announce their Collector's Editions soon.

Yeah you are probably right. Depending on what my friends do / get I very well might finally wise up and skip it this time. I have played all the major releases of the game from MW2 to Ghosts. The original Black Ops was my favorite by far.

Depending how much I like Destiny and what else I am playing in Novemeber maybe I will finally skip it. And with Far Cry 4 coming out 2 week later.

I haven't really LOVED a CoD since 4. MW2 was good but it was really the same as 4. Black Ops was amazing. 2 not as much but the MP was fun.

i was never a fan of AC. played 1, 2, brother hood, and 3. all disappointed and quit within the 1st 2hr. that being said, AC: BF was fn awesome. not sure if it was b/c of the theme that drew me in or what not. game play mechanics were great too. ubisoft redeemed itself w/ BF and thereby guarantee a pre-order for Unitiy on PS4 and possibly the PS3 version (due to it being a direct sequel.)

here is a preview gameplay video of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

mix between arkham city/assassin creed/ ryse. the art style, and graphics is nothing to write home about. you decide

Just cancel your pre-orders & transfer the credit over
Not an option because my Best Buy has a stupid rule that they only take game trade-ins from games that were specifically bought at their store.

Also call me a sucker but I like some of the employees at my two local GameStop's so I wouldn't want to drop like $400+ in cancellations on them.

Sucker! Lol jk

Well, that is a dumb rule. Is it like that in all the Best Buys around you?

Edit: Also I just seen Wolfenstein is now receiving a $5 eGiftCard to replace the miniature. Not only was that game getting a special Cert before but now it's getting another $5, for a total of $25. That's crazy and with GCU, it basically brings it down to $23 for a PS4 game at launch. You almost have to buy it. Even if you beat it within a week and trade it in towards Watch_Dogs, I'd guess you'd get at least $40 for it. I did read somewhere that Wolfenstein, despite being single player only, offers about 20 hours of gameplay.
Don`t forget to factor in the mybb pts on the purchase & trade 96 base on the purchase & 2x whatever the trade amount is will get you close to another $5 in credit. Even closer if you`re elite plus.

$48 + ~$30 credit + $38-$44 credit on the trade in, completely pays off your next on the $10 list with ~$20 credit leftover.

Just to confirm, you dont have to be a GCU member to qualify. The free My BestBuy membership is enough right?
:whistle2:/
Yup, free members pay $60 w/$25 credit GCU pays $48 w/$25. Although if you`re going to end up getting 4-5 of these types of offers you might wanna consider GCU even at $120 there`s already been a large enough sample size to see the value & savings.

I'm not sure but the next closest store is around 20+ Miles away so nothing else is really close by.
It takes them longer to do a simple trade w/o that requirement at most BB`s so those stores must take an eternity. How do they verify it anyways? If you come in w/50 games what do they so?

They basically require you present the receipt you bought the game with, if you don't have one they'll look through your purchase history to find it.

damn sound like a huge pain in the ass process I cant believe im actually saying this but I would actually go to gamestop each time for my trade ins to if I had to go through that process with best buy each trade in even if the values were less.

Yeah although having to present fingerprints, driver's license, and fill out a giant form anytime I trade at Gamestop isn't much better.

It's weird because Walmart barely requires any information minus me signing my name, and they're right next to Gamestop and across the lane from Best Buy.

They would hate to have to search my purchase history it`ll look like an textbook lol that process would seem to take forever on a huge trade. Do they keep track of the receipts? Meaning could you trade the same game in 3 times using the same receipt on 3 different trips?

It would be highly annoying but couldn`t a person make a mass purchase of games they already have at BB to acquire a legit receipt, trade them in & return the unopened ones later.

I'm thinking about doing the wolfenstein deal, then getting Watch Dogs but I've never traded in at Best Buy before.  So to clarify if I buy Wolfenstein with my GCU it'll be about $52 with tax.  I'll get $20 in reward zone certs and a $5 egift card which I can then apply to watch dogs making it about $25.  Then I'll also get another $10 cert for that purchase.  If I play and beat Wolfenstein before watch dogs is out the trade in value will be about $40 so essentially for $50 I can end up with Watch Dogs and approx $25 credit plus about 100 reward zone points?  Is that accurate and did I miss anything?

Goodbye forever, all retailers besides Best Buy.

BB is just adding deals till Kingdom Come. I'm only mildly disappointed that BB GCU has stopped me from going digital or buying elsewhere. They know how to make a deal.

I was hoping M$ would start a disc to digital promotion to get people accustomed to a full digital format. I.E. Promo code in new copies to upgrade to digital for $X.XX.

Granted there would be a massive influx of traded in discs so I don't know how to do a good model without screwing it up. As in the above model you could just buy a disc for $60, upgrade to digital for $10 or so and then trade in disc for a $20 digital copy.

You won't get the $20 cert in a week so by you will have to use it on something else other then Watch Dogs.

Yep, no way you can have a working disc that doesn't need to be in the drive without some trouble. People would either complain if the disc license were deactivated when you upgrade digitally or the publishers would suffer people basically getting two copies of the game.

Only guess I have is they could copy the Warner Bros. DVD to Blu program. Mail your disc and then for $5 you get the Blu Ray as a replacement. Keeps them from having more copies flood the market and gets you to invest in Warner Blu Rays. So they could allow discs to be sent in for a digital code at an upgrade price.

Poll should have a, "None of the above, pre-ordering is an anti-consumer mechanism of an industry that treats you as another member of the contemptible herd" option.

So anyone know when we might start seeing reviews for Wolfenstein? Last day to preorder. It's a great deal, but I definitely get a vibe that this game might suck and with Watch Dogs and Mario Kart coming next week I'd rather not waste my money (even though yes it probably can be flipped back for a few bucks profit).

You're not getting any vibe that watch dogs will suck? Delay plus new franchise doesn't equal confidence.

Nope. Ubisoft has been pretty consistently putting out high quality projects lately and they have put a lot of stock in Watch Dogs being their next big thing. I could be wrong, but I have a lot more confidence in Watch Dogs being awesome than Wolfenstein.

Honestly I expect both Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs to disappoint. But thanks to the certs I can trade them right back in.

This. I think they're both going to be mediocre, at best, with Watch Dogs slightly better. The whole hacking seems like it will get gimmicky after a while. And with GTA5 having released recently, it's not enough time between (reportedly) similar open world games for me to be too into it.

I just hope the campaigns are short enough for me to quickly finish them and then trade them in. This free Games with Gold backlog is not going to take care of itself...

It sounds like you should just save yourself the trouble and not bother playing them at all. You make it sound like you have a job requiring you to play these games. Remember that this is a hobby that's supposed to be enjoyable.

Haha. Well, I figure I'll already have the game on Tuesday. The BB 50% bonus TIV doesn't kick in til Sunday. So I might as well spend part of those 5 days playing it since I have to open up the shrinkwrap anyways. And I've never played a Wolfenstein game so I might as well see what it's all about.

you wont see a review until after it released. There is a Review Embargo in placed for it right now

A delay can be the best thing for a new franchise if it`s really needed. If watchdogs was a buggy/glitchy/broken unplayable mess it wouldn`t matter if the game was the next RDR. Delays to ensure quality or move away from an established franchise releases are always smart.

Also to note about Watch Dog is it is now officially the #1 Most Pre-Ordered New IP UbiSoft Game Ever, and Also the 2nd Highest Most Pre-Ordered UbiSoft Game Ever and also the #1 Most Pre-Ordered Game so Far this Entire Year. All Officially.

It's not a great deal, it's pretty much a no brainier if you have ANY interest in the game. Especially if you have GCU.

$60+ tax so max $66. $66 + $20 cert and $5 eGC= $41. TiV will be at least $38 at one of the major places. $3 for a rental and possibly a money maker for most because of lower tax. Granted the money will be tied up ($40 after trade in and $20 after a month), but who here isn't buying at least one other game later this year.

With GCU it's an absolute no brainer. $10+ money maker for playing a game.

Delays generally don't make much financial sense anymore either. If a game is an unfixable train wreck, publishers aren't going to keep pouring money into it. They would rather put it out ASAP and cut their losses or make as much quick cash as they can. For Watchdogs especially, if it was going to be a dud, Ubisoft would have been foolish not to release it as a launch game since there was already so much hype for it and it might have had a longer sales tail just because it was available at launch.

If you have already $80 million invested & it`s broken but there`s a way to salvage the title by adding up to another $20 million. A 8-14 month delay along with adding money makes the game complete. Even if the game only sells 1 million copies at $60 a pop the franchise can become productive & profitable. A larger company may like the game in principal & buy them out then put their own team behind the fanchise & make it better.

If the final product never makes it to consumers there`s less of a chance for anything.

Sometimes you have no choice but to cut & run but I`d have to think failures are duds long before there`s a heavy cash investment but bad decisions are made along the way.
