I actually would by that Orc Fart game for the right price, which this is not. I think the 4 pack is way cheaper per game.
4-pack is $7.50 per person, and that's not even during a sale. 50% would be $3.75 a person.

Also, I think the Tripwire bundle has a Killing Floor DLC the Killing Floor bundle doesn't (Community Weapon Pack 2)? How does that make any sense?

Mrs. Foster is the other DLC missing from the bundle, right?

Yep, it has the one extra and they are both missing Mrs. Foster. I'm hoping/thinking that once KF2 is out, they'll be less stingy with the DLC discounts on this one.

Currently sending an email to everyone who had some sort of subscription to WGN to inform them of the new site.

It will probably take all day to send them.

Can you guys check your junk and quote me to let me know if it appeared in Inbox/Junk/Promotions etc. Thanks!
Just got one in my yahoo mail, came to the main inbox.

I've been playing Go Go Nippon Japan Trip thingie game. I feel like a perv.

Pfft' I made my account in 2004. I was ahead of the curve! (Not really).
LOL

Real Hotmail (i.e. Pornmail) accounts pre-dated MS's purchase of Hotmil (Dec '97)... after which (p0rn) spam rendered hotmail nearly useless (doubly so when combined with the 2MB mailbox). Followed by the "eh" password backdoor in '99 compromising virtually all accounts. And if that wasn't enough, microsoft's attempt to move from FreeBSD to Windows 2000 rendered the site too slow to be usable.

Everyone I know with a p0rnmail account abandoned it in that period (typically for yahoo mail).

So, after looking around in the SteamDB for it. it looks like the Killing Floor Bundle includes Community Pack 2 after all, but it's not listed (similar to the Sleeping Dogs bundle having stuff Steam says it's missing). The only thing missing is Mrs. Foster for whatever reason.

If anyone's curious, I'll report back with my findings after I buy it.

Killing Floor 2 is entering early access soon.

Edit: To elaborate, I'm saying: If you haven't bought KF by now you shouldn't bother.  Just save your money and put it towards the sequel.  It's a purely multiplayer game.

Let me know, if it ends up having everything (including Mrs. Foster) I'll probably just double dip on it.

I wouldn't go that far. KF2 doesn't have a set date for EA or price. KF also has a ton of mods/community workshop stuff, etc that you will likely not have for a while in KF2. It's still worth a purchase to play.

Killing Floor was pretty awesome when I played a few years ago, I hope the second one is just as good. Also it may just be me but seeing all that DLC for Killing Floor made me want to puke. It was cool when the DLC was cosmetic like skins but now they have weapon packs and such....real turn off really and will wait to the next installment to play again.

The latest fashion trend I have noticed:

Men's Purses.

Last time I was back there, Men's purses were all the rage. Guys were carrying very feminine style purses. It was totally bizarre. My buddy and I were about to head out to lunch, and he says "Wait! I've got to go grab my purse" LoL

So, I stop and try to explain that the english word 'purse' isn't the greatest one for him to use. I pulled from Seinfeld, European Attache Bag, or even Murse (Man-Purse).

So of course, he now calls it a Murse, which isn't much better. Good times. I love Japan.

These are exactly the kind of wussies I'm talking about that can't handle LEGO games

I'd suggest just the opposite. Buy KF now and play the hell out of it until it dies out to KF2 and/or KF2 goes on sale.

To be fair, the weapon packs are a mix of cosmetic changes and weapon-equivalents. There's no p2w stuff in there.

I'll second hal, the weapon packs are basically cosmetic, there's really no real advantage. Same with the characters. I buy all the DLC when it hits 75% off and honestly rarely use it because it doesn't really offer any advantage, I just do it to support the devs.

Same here, I'll gladly support devs as active as they are. Did the same with natural Selection 2, bought the "Deluxe DLC" some time ago.

I can confirm it includes everything BUT Mrs. Foster. Community Pack 2 is included, I bought it, only cost me $4. I'll wait for a 75% or 80% off sale on Mrs. Foster, especially if it's at GMG, no big deal. Pretty sure they're done releasing DLC, they might even add Mrs. Foster to the packs.. eventually.

The odd thing is there's been a few DLCs released after Mrs. Foster, but they're still in the pack...

This is more or less what I was thinking. The sequel's launching as a full-price release, and will have bucketloads of DLC. Why not get the original with (almost) all the DLC for cheap and enjoy the game before KF2 gets cheap enough that everyone switches over? The community may not be around forever, but it's not gonna vanish overnight. Now's as good a time as any, and I'm tired of waiting for another bundle like IG Flashpoint so... there you go.

This is why not having Mrs. Foster doesn't really bother me. I'll doubt I'll ever play as her, so I'll live until the next big sale on the DLC.

I bought the Deluxe DLC cheap just because, seems like a neat game. Excited to try it out when the rig'll be able to.

Bought Deus Ex The Fall because it was $3 and I love Deus Ex. Should of stayed an iPad game.

Played like 30 minutes. Story is meh, gameplay is half assed because it's mobile. I could take that, I paid $3. I stopped playing because it controls like absolute garbage. When I put max sensitivity on and it still takes 7 years to move, yeah...

The KF community is one of the best out there. If you dig into it you'll probably enjoy your time since you like the social aspects of games. People tend to be very helpful/friendly in KF.

That's I would expect for mobile ports of shooters. They've come a long way in the graphics department, but the controls tend to be pretty frustrating. Can't imagine why they wouldn't improve them on the PC port.

Murdered Soul Suspect isn't looking that bad.

Spoilers, Mostly cut-scenes. not that much of gameplay.

Can't wait for release and PF-rewards :p.

You guys got me curious about Deus Ex: The Fall and good lord do people universally hate it.

If they actually put a little effort into the port they probably could have sold it for $20 like Ubisoft did with the AC Liberation port but I guess they just couldn't be bothered.

I'm definitely interested. It seems kind of like what a Big Fish game would be like if it had a really big budget so it's right up my alley. But no way am I FakeCAGing a Square Eidos game. Their prices drop like a rock.

and PF-rewards :p.

I rarely pay much attention to E3/PAX/BlizzCon/etc., but apparently this is a thing.
It was announced a while back and I believe there was a little chatter about it here even. It looks cool, but not $50 cool. Someone needs to do a pre-order price mistake on it. :p

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't grab that Alien Isolation price mistake on Amazon. :wall:

Well, I didn't know about it until I was perusing the "coming soon" tab on Steam tonight. The Civ series is pretty much all my brother plays, so this is bound to be up his alley; if there's one thing Sid Meier knows, it's how to make this kind of game.

Hurrrgh my Watch Dogs hype is at critical levels! Not sure I'll survive another day... I wish I knew if the Nvidia version was getting any bonuses. Wikipedia says the standard edition gets two packs. Uplay store Brazil calls my product "SS&P - WATCH DOGS" but I can't figure out what SS&P means. THey emailed that the release date was changed to 26th but I don't know if that's just for Brazil.

the word "epic" and "WarZ" should not be in the same sentence ... :wall:
What about...? "WarZ is an epic failure." or "WarZ sure has had an epic amount of controversy."

catsthatlooklikehitler.com picture
A website where you can view and vote (up/down) on rather or not a cat looks like Hitler... There's allot of things wrong with the internet/world but, holy hell, does this prove it. (I got to go show my wife... )

Speaking of Hitler... Anyone else looking forward to History Channel's "The World Wars" mini series?

Holy shit... Uplay is the worst. I'm trying to install Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands from the installer I backed up, and it's running into a CRC error with ONE file... and crapping out on the install, telling me my medium may be corrupted and to contact my software vendor. It looks like I have to re-download the entire 6GB to get that one file.

:headache:

Update, luckily I kept my old installed folder for the game, I was able to choose "Ignore" when it found the error and then copy the bad file in from the old folder. Started the game and it was running fine, and at 300fps so I got that goin for me.

I'll leave this here too.
Here was my long-ass review Of Orcs & Men review back from the old GamersGate thread:

So I've been playing this and... it ain't great but it ain't terrible.

You're an orc, humans are messin' up your lands, something something war, anyway eventually your chief decides to send you out to kill the emperor. You hook up with a goblin guide and the two of you Laurel & Hardy your way to destiny. Your orc is more of the "tribal savage guy" sort who isn't overtly evil so much as he's tough and from tough lands and tough people as opposed to the stock "evil brutes who are the enemy of Good" variety.

Throughout the game (so far anyway but I don't see it changing) you can flip between the two characters with a key press and the AI takes over for the other guy. The goblin can stealth and assassinate targets so you'll sneak in, kill a couple dudes, get seen, run back to the orc (who dutifully waits for you when you're stealthed), switch to him, queue up some attacks, switch to the goblin, etc. Combat is sorta-kinda like Dragon Age in that you can set attacks & modes (offensive/defensive/ranged) and switch between characters although you can't truly pause the action. The game does slow down to a molasses crawl when you're setting attacks though. So far both characters have always leveled simultaneously even if one was "dead" at the end of combat. When you level, you get to assign a point to your stats (Strength, Stamina, Mind and Agility) and either buy or enhance a skill. I'm not in love with combat but I have a hard time pinpointing a criticism either. I guess I don't feel a huge difference in what I do? Anyway, as you can guess, the orc is big and tough and beats crap up, the goblin is small, weak and agile and can either fight melee or throw daggers. The orc's range attack is to whip the goblin at someone. Oh, and the orc builds up rage when he's attacked and if you don't vent it off somehow, he'll eventually go berserk and you lose control of him. This isn't always bad since he seems to get some attack/damage bonuses but he also takes more damage and will happily smash your goblin if said goblin is "next closest target".

Graphics and sound are touch-and-go. The orc and goblin are animated and voiced fairly well. They use profanity fairly casually if you care about that. The humans are much less impressively animated. They're passable but nothing great. Voice acting for everyone beyond the main characters ranges from barely acceptable to ridiculous. I rescued a bandit-warrior woman who had the accent of a southern belle. Why? Beats me. Who decided that? "For this, we want you to sound like a person from Connecticut impersonating Scarlett O'Hare..."

So here's the real problems:

(A) It's very, very linear. I don't know if the "side quests" are actually optional or not because I've been taking all of them without argument but I suspect you're forced through them all anyway. Each section is like running down a hallway and just going through the predetermined fight spots. There's no side tunnel exploration, almost no chance at missing the occasional glowing chest/bag with loot and you just feel shunted along. There's also very little option in how to approach something. Sure, you can assassinate a few targets to soften up a fight before you're spotted but you don't stealth past opponents or bribe them or anything... just go from fight to fight. At least an on-rails shooter like Metro 2033/LL gave you some flexibility in how to approach a fight or avoid it and some open areas to manipulate to your advantage. Of Orcs & Men doesn't provide that at all -- it's all "hallways" and when it's time to fight, you fight.

(B) The... pacing... is... terrible. You'll watch a cut scene of orc & goblin talking, jog down an alley, fight four guards, jog another ten feet and get another cut scene. Rinse and repeat. It's not even that the scenes are bad, it's that you never get into a flow of playing the game. You also never really get "into" the game as you're constantly getting pulled out by another loading screen or chat scene or something. I swear, I don't know if I've fought three fights in a row without some sort of interruption. And fighting is really all the game has going on in it (see above paragraph).

The concept is interesting enough if not entirely unique. Relative morality is nothing new. And the game has some good points but I can't really recommend it until it has an MSRP drop so you can get it for $5.

Man, I just spent the day having one of the funnest gaming sessions I've had in a while. Thanks to Parallacks and DrSasquatch for joining in!

I'll say it again, the private server really changes Infestation/WarZ into something pretty fun.  It's definitely not worth the money, but if they ever come to their senses and drop the price I'll consider it.

At the end it was crazy.  I found a dune buggy, drove over to pick up Sasquatch and went to loot a building.  While we're looting someone logs on and sends out a distress call, they are trapped in a post office with a swarm of zombies.  We split up so Sasquatch can get more loot, I drive over, empty my clip to kill 5 zombies, beat the other 3 to death and rescue the guy and then drive him back to meet up with Sasquatch.  Pretty great way to end it, sucks that the other guy logged out right after that, but I'll definitely be playing a lot of the game during this week.

re: Murdered game

I found 2 CAGs to split the AMD Promo bundle with me and got it for $10 which I was happy to pay for a pre-order I am looking forward too.  If anyone is interested, you might see if you can find the same deal.  It's not a bad deal if you want Banner Saga too because you can choose it (with Dyad) AND a third game all for around $29.

I've had good luck checking Ebay on a daily basis for those Gold AMD codes. Roughly 15 minutes ago, I managed to snag a gold code for $13.

Here's a seller that has a Silver code for $13.

EDIT: Damn! That sold out fast.

Awesome! I didn't have the patience to bid on them so I just got the cheapest BIN one at the time. $13 is a steal for those though considering you can get stuff like the new Thief and Payday 2

LOL that was me who bought that silver one. I couldn't use the gold one anyway because there's not three games on that list that I don't own and care about, but I'm perfectly fine with getting Murdered and Banner Saga (and I guess Dyad whatever that is) for $13.

*Edit: Also dammit, you guys are making me want to play WarZ. :fridge:

Awesome deal. Glad a CAG snagged one!

I've been tempted on bidding on the Daylight ones that have been floating around from Nvidia, but that game has such bad reviews all around I think I'll just wait for a bundle.

You're not missing much. The mechanics of the game feel pretty horrendous. Melee is a joke, I was literally laughing at my computer screen when I first ran into a zombie and starting whacking it (right before it warped through the floor and I had to go downstairs to finish it off).

The game is just total weaksauce. Fine for laughs and some screwing around between friends, but there are so many better multiplayer games to waste time with.

Dyad is one of 3 games you can pair with Banner Sage. You probably have the other two though, forget which ones, I think the blob game and one other.

The other two are Gucamelee and Mutant Blobs Attack both of which I have so yeah, Dyad it is.

I think I'll pass on Daylight and wait for a really cheap sale or bundle. I'm glad when I got my AMD video card last year they had better games going than that for their free games. AC IV, Batman Arkham Origins and Splinter Cell Black List Deluxe (that one got spodered ) I'd say are a good deal more enticing than some $15 indie zombie game with bad reviews. Nvidia really needs to step it up.
