This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

The first season of Lost Girl is showing up Free on the dash, if that's your kinda thing.
Thanks for sharing. It's not my thing. Not at all. I watched the first 4 episodes or so and decided that I should waste my time watching something else.

Just because good times are coming with some great Games with Gold next month along with the upcoming E3 reveals and Evo Fighting Game Championships, yet I feel that doesn't mean I should be denied a good week of discounts. However, it looks like this week I will opt to pass on every offer so far. With a broad theme as "I don't know ... therefore aliens" I would have hoped for X-com DLC or even the Earth Defense Force 2025 DLC (main game is discounted though, but I got it on disc already and the discount is not significant enough for me to consider a digital purchase). Ah well, this week the 360 gets Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst and the Cave Shooting Collection Kan got a 2nd batch released (so happy to see there's a physical DLC disc and it does include the old preorder/first-edition DLC for the games which had them; but I think there's an issue with "install all" so just install a few at a time), so I am very excited despite the lack of discounts relevant to my interests.

Not a big deal for me personally. I'm just workin through my 360 backlog before I start gaming on the One exclusively. The lack of deals is a big help.

I'm playing Bulletstorm and loving this. I wish the DLC would go on sale.
I still regret not getting the DLC when it was on discount. Back then, I did not own Bulletstorm, nor did I have any interest in the title. Once a brand new "Epic Edition" (are they all Epic editions?) was $10 at Best Buy, I decided to throw it onto the backlog as well, and now each DLC remains at the same price each as the main game for me, and I seriously doubt the publishers and developers even care to make any discount on the content now. Just as it seems with the Mass Effect 2 DLC [I so regret waiting on a Game of the Year Edition which never came], despite this week of alien themed discounts, the truth stings that I am a casualty of left behind for discounts. I don't mind repeat discounts for situations as such with these cases, which is why I think it is best when discount offers balances repeats and new offers with a large variety.

My nips are harder than a diamond in an ice storm.

Been waiting for another MK! Or at least a sequel/HD remake of Shaolin Monks.
I swear there was some mention of Shaolin Monks a long while ago for some XBLA news but I think it had faded. As a pure hater of Mortal Kombat from its start, but a lover of brawlers for even longer, I will at least admit the game doesn't seem too bad. My hating ways kept me from acknowledging the title then, but now I'm a bit more open to giving it a chance.

I like how he stood there to think about it for a few seconds. He held out for as long as he could, but just couldn't resist that ass.
Speaking of dat ass, do not forget at the end of the month coming up that the Gamespy servers will be shut down so get the online achievements for Capcom's Age of Booty on the 360 while you can. The XBLA game was discounted before and also on the collection disc and thus likely in a backlog of a CAG. Remember, booty may be more important than water in this game, so be an online booty warrior for the achievements.

Remember if you're a Gold Member and haven't downloaded Saints Row: The Third yet to do so quickly as well. Doesn't hurt to add it to your download history. The switch to either SSF4AE2012, Charlie Murder, or Dark Souls is in the next few days as well. The future seems bright, praise the sun.

[EDIT: Also, I'm excited to see Under Night In-Birth is slated for home console release, here's hoping it gets localized to US360]

Game Informer has a really good Super Replay for MK Shaolin Monks that shows off what's cool about that game.

For no reason at all, I watched that a week or two ago. Looked... dicey. But with a buddy for couch co-op, it seemed like there was fun to be had.
Oh man was there! Shaolin Monks was a goddamn BLAST with a couch buddy. We played through that game several times just to unlock all the characters. SM was a throwback to side scrolling brawlers of the 80s, with a modern day (at the time lol) twist added to it. I've been hoping for an HD remake since Boon teased it. I'd love to go at it again for achievements.

Hmm. So I purchased Colonial Marines and saw that their DLCs are a bit pricey. Does the Season's Pass remedy that or are there missing contents still that I would need to purchase? TIA.

Stasis Interrupted is the only DLC worth looking at for the non-diehard Alien franchise fan.

Thanks. But there's this bit of completionist in me that wants to check out all content even if it's just for the heck of checking out. So should the Season's Pass be enough?

I'm sorry, but why?
Never really picked this game up before when the hype was there, wanted to know what that hype was all about. :p Should I have picked AVP instead?

If you're asking whether the season pass has everything, then no. It contains the SP content Stasis Interrupted and MP content (Bug Hunt and maps). It does not contain the extra weapons or all of the movie character skins for MP. Unless you are dying to play MP, Stasis is the only SP content apart from the weapon add-ons which is why I suggested only that one.

I see. Thanks mate, not really that die hard to get those MP-use only items, so yeah.

Is star trek worth the price?
Not at all.

Dark Souls is supposed to be from June 1st and Charlie Murder is from June 16th while Street Fighter runs the whole month, at least according to the Wikipedia page.

I'm glad to see the Alien Breed games on sale for a great price so I'm picking up all three of them. Judging by the lack of mention of them on this thread, I'd better look for co-op partners elsewhere, right? I guess most people are bored to death of twin-stick shooters...

I dont know how I feel about the new Worms game being $25...
Haha What?

I'll probably pick them up as well. Feel free to hit me up.

I dont know how I feel about the new Worms game being $25...
To think that it looks like a DLC for Clan Wars or Revolution, and it costs more than the two combined... insane.

Ugh, I keep hearing people say, "I see xxx game becoming a GwG freebie down the line." At his point, I believe ANY game can become a GwG title. Therefore, I am guessing July we will see one of the Arkham games by Rocksteady become a GwG title. Or Tomb Raider

Also, that MK news has got me even more excited for E3!!!

Speaking of Tomb Raider, what are you supposed to do after you beat the campaign? I finished the campaign with around 70% of the stuff done (that's what it said at the end), is there any New Game+ ?

Although you can find some enjoyment in coop, those games truly reveal their essence playing solo. Nothing is more fun than playing on hardcore all by yourself, managing your lack of ammo, health and resources in a hostile environment. Whether facing an horde or walking a silent corridor you feel the tension, especially when you barely can remember the last time you hit a checkpoint.

Final reminder that Rock Band's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine - Pt 1" by James Brown will be delisted by tomorrow 5/30. Course who knows if MS will pull the plug a tad early, so get on it now before it's gone forever

Totally forgot about the GameSpy shutdown! Anyone know what achievements or features for Red Dead Redemption are tied to the Rockstar Social Club? Might crack it open tonight, get them while I can.

Whatever is available through the Social Club will be lost in Red Dead, but no achievements are tied to it or affected by the shutdown. Midnight Club: LA will have a couple achievements locked out.

Final reminder that Rock Band's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine - Pt 1" by James Brown will be delisted by tomorrow 5/30. Course who knows if MS will pull the plug a tad early, so get on it now before it's gone forever
It looks like it's been pulled already, as was the Get the Funk Out pack it was a part of.

Speaking of Tomb Raider, what are you supposed to do after you beat the campaign? I finished the campaign with around 70% of the stuff done (that's what it said at the end), is there any New Game+ ?
You'll start by a nearby campfire, and can continue to to find the collectables you missed, or try and obtain XP for weapon upgrades. There aren't really enemies left though, so if you're looking to continue playing with your weapons you'll be disappointed. Randomly some may appear, but if you're looking have battles again you'll need to restart your game.

You load up your save and go collect it all.

Thanks.

I already traded in the disc a while ago, so if the Tomb Raider rumour is true, I can just skip it then.

I'm calling it right now: Within the next two weeks prior to E3, EA will put all of the Mass Effect DLC on sale. THEN at E3, they'll announce the PS4/XBO "Ultimate Trilogy Edition" with all of the DLC (I know its been rumored). Leave it to EA to get you one last time this gen.
You probably just hit the nail right on the head

What a bummer, I still have Midnight Club: LA in a wrapper. Since I'm hands-deep in Dead Space Trilogy I don't feel like playing racing sim at all.

It looks like " Turn in the Work " and " Everyone's a Critic" cheevos would be unobtainable. Hence I see some folks have been struggling with these particular achievements for some time now because of unstable servers. Well I don't feel really bad about this, if it's gone - it's gone.

The server is barely alive, but it took me 10-15 minutes to get both achievements.

So it's confirmed the only achievements we're losing access to are from MC: LA and Age of Booty?

Considering how hard PC and PS3 are getting hit by this, looks like paying for Gold finally paid off? :p

I dont know how I feel about the new Worms game being $25...
Yeah, it's kind of crazy, but at least since I've been using that $5 promo from spending $15 or more it will make the price a little better since I'll most likely pick it up due to loving the Worms series.

Saw the PS3 was losing Boarderlands and Civ Rev MP, anything else?

The thing is, people will still pick up that Worms game at $25. m$ were trying to do this with $20, and then realized people will spend that on XBLA titles, so now they're trying to go up to $25.

I bought pretty much every worms game in existence prior to the 360, including Worms 3D and I still won't pay $25 for Worms.

$10 I would have been in, hell maybe $15.

I doubt many people will be buying. I expect a sale in 2 months or less.

Just got an email about free Project Spark content packs (after rebate). I'll be picking up a few that I've been looking at.

http://forums.projectspark.com/yaf_postst54692.aspx

"To sum up, between 11 AM and 1 PM Pacific Time on Friday and Saturday, you will receive 5x (or 10x) bonus XP and credits. You will also receive a rebate on all marketplace purchases, unlocked with either credits or tokens, of Spark credits for everything you buy, up to a max of 40k per day. (So 80k overall for the event.) Head over to the Project Spark Forums and join in the discussion on the One Year Anniversary Event.

Q. When will we get our credit rebate?
A. We'll be distributing the credits directly to your account within a couple of weeks.

Q. What happens if I purchase Yeti, which is a token only offer?
A. If you purchase the Yeti, we'll refund you 20,000 credits.

Q. What if I purchase a 12 months of Spark Premium, which is worth more than 40,000 credits?
A. You will receive a max of 40k credits in rebate for that purchase. (As well as receive 12 free sharing slots, nudge nudge)
"

EDIT: Actually it sounds like you just get in-game currency back. I was hoping for a cash refund (MS credit). I'll ask on the forums.

Same here. I don't plan on making anything soon, but would've bought a bunch of stuff if it was MS credit. I'll just stick with play other peoples' creations.

Warehouse 13 (just ended a couple weeks ago) is FAR better.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll watch the first episode to see if I like it. At present I'm watching:

- Hannibal S2

- Suits S3

- Blacklist

- Blue Bloods S4

Watched Resurrection last week, my family liked it a lot. Waiting for Defiance S2 and the next season of Falling Skies and Walking Dead.

Then they should watch 'Les revenants', the french series Resurrection has adapted. As you can guess it's darker and more disturbing than the mainstream american version.

Since the deals blow, is this now the TV show thread? If so, I recommend Penny Dreadful, it just began a few weeks ago and we're 3 episodes in. Extremely high quality horror show with great actors (among others Eva Green).

To go back on-topic, do we have some confirmation or reliable source that we get Dark Souls and Street Fighter on the 1st of June?
