$7.50 is too much for a game that can get retroactively disabled for anyone outside Russia. Buy it and it gets region locked and you lose $7.50. Not to mention that it's greedy to ask for such a high amount for something so cheap. It would be like you asking for half the combined MSRP on your Indie Gala bundles because they're no longer on sale.

Has a game that's already in someone's library been disabled? I know people have been burned (Stick of Truth for example) because they let something sit in their inventory and it got region locked in the meantime.

 
Out of curiosity, would anybody be able to sell The Sims 3 and its lowest priced expansions for around $4 (Paypal) apiece? (Specifically, I'd be looking for Showtime, Pets, Generations, World Adventures, and Ambitions.)

Alternatively, I have lots of bundle fodder stretching back a couple years if someone would prefer a trade, though it'd take me a while to come up with a full list, and I'm sure most of it is pretty common here.

Assassin's Creed 4 Russian version was initially not region locked, people bought it for cheap and activated it on their accounts. Later on Ubisoft region locked it. So it's possible. In that instance, if you wrote to Steam they would remove it from your library and put it back into your inventory. Ubisoft may have reversed the lock later on due to complaints, I don't remember.

That's the tradingandgifting region lock, which doesn't affect activated copies and is commonly used on games that have the same ID for all regions.

However, Valiant Hearts has a separate ID for Russian versions, which means they can use "allowrunin" restrictions, which would make your game impossible to play without VPN.

Interesting. A game should be region locked from the moment it goes on Steam if they ever have any intention of locking it in my opinion.
