18 hours into it - having a blast ran-sacking houses + doing side-quests, mostly.

I do wish the characters, story, and events in the main story were more fleshed-out, though. I wish certain things went a different direction, as well - story-wise, namely.

If you liked Thief: Deadly Shadows - yeah, you'll probably like it. It's much more modernized than that, though. Just like Hitman: Ab - this game has the X-ray thing (Focus meter - it builds as you do stuff), as well. There's takedowns like Hitman Ab, as well. If you don't like a lot of the modernized stuff, a lot of that stuff is Customizable if you pick a custom difficulty, where you can specifically turn on and off what features you'd like (FOcus, Highlighting of Objects, Takedowns, etc).

Expect to play stealthy. Getting into head-on fights won't get you very far. Though, there's numerous different stealthy ways to approach areas, missions, and whatnot.

If you don't have a beast of a PC, expect performance issues. W/ most stuff on Normal, to keep it at 40 frames - had to uses EVGA Precision X (or a program like it - i.e. MSI Afterburner) to force it to lock-down to a max of 40 frames per second, since that was my most common and lowest framerate.

Today is the last day of the team thing, so any cards awarded for winning or contributing points will have lost their intrinsic value by the time they can be listed.  That won't necessarily kill their value, but I think that happens on the last day anyways.

 
Thought about #FakeCAG purchasing Wolfenstein at 50% off but $30 is still too rich for a game I wasn't actively looking out for even when it's all card money and stuff.  For $20, I'd have gone for it.

 
The new commodity setup with buy and sell orders worked out for me.  I had a buy order up for a Portal 2 card at $0.11 or so and was at the top of the buy orders when someone listed that card for $.03.  Surprise discount.  Nice.

I paid $5 for Cloudbuilt and its worth every penny. Wolfy for $30 is great too, thats one of the best games of this year so far. I think I'm gonna get Broken Age and Shadowrun Returns

If anyone is thinking about getting Shadowrun Returns do not pass on Dragonfall thinking that it's just some piece of 'DLC'. Dragonfall is an entire new campaign and widely regarded as better than Dead Man's Switch (the base game's campaign) and some even go so far as to liken it to a full-on sequel rather than just an expansion...it's downright fucking rad is the point here folks. :applause:

Agreed, if you like tactical turn-based strategy games, cyberpunk and fantasy this is the game for you. Like I mentioned last time this was on sale a few days back, it's not fast-paced, but that doesn't mean it's not exciting/fun. I enjoyed it a lot.

Some of the user-created community workshop campaigns are pretty good too, making it an even better value.

PS: Dragonfall is pretty great. Easily equal in length and at the very least equal (I think it's better) than the original campaign. My only (small) gripe was the fact that I couldn't play my character from the original game in Dragonfall without being so over-levelled for it that it wouldn't have been any fun.

If you've noticed, the number of +Points and Steal tokens on the market shot through the roof yesterday. I suspect Valve was putting their thumb on the scales again.

The first 5 days were so obviously fixed I was surprised they let Red continue to win as long as they did.

backlog is too long.. :( and that including Xbox 360, ps3, wii, psp, DS and PC .. and no, i didn't buy the Xbox One or PS4.. too expensive for a CAG like me

and FPS is not my favorite thing so that's why I put it off. Heard lots of good thing about portal though.. now i need to find a copy of Portal for cheap

Play Portal 1, the first 18 levels will take at best 15-30min if you are decent at puzzles, the last two are really annoying though.

 
So since I got PayDay2 (hard as balls on normal for starters) 

I was curious if the weapon DLC's are worth it since they are currently on sale

I do wish the characters, story, and events in the main story were more fleshed-out, though. I wish certain things went a different direction, as well - story-wise, namely.

If you liked Thief: Deadly Shadows - yeah, you'll probably like it. It's much more modernized than that, though. Just like Hitman: Ab - this game has the X-ray thing (Focus meter - it builds as you do stuff), as well. There's takedowns like Hitman Ab, as well. If you don't like a lot of the modernized stuff, a lot of that stuff is Customizable if you pick a custom difficulty, where you can specifically turn on and off what features you'd like (FOcus, Highlighting of Objects, Takedowns, etc).

Expect to play stealthy. Getting into head-on fights won't get you very far. Though, there's numerous different stealthy ways to approach areas, missions, and whatnot.

If you don't have a beast of a PC, expect performance issues. W/ most stuff on Normal, to keep it at 40 frames - had to uses EVGA Precision X (or a program like it - i.e. MSI Afterburner) to force it to lock-down to a max of 40 frames per second, since that was my most common and lowest framerate.

Do you have an Nvidia or AMD card? If you have a Mantle supported AMD card you can squeeze out more frames or more quality at similar fps. Mantle has shown in benchmarks that lower end systems benefit more than beefy systems.

I guess I'm the only one that didn't think the Portal games were amazing. I mean to me the first one was basically a tech demo, cool concept but made me sleepy. Portal 2 was fun with a buddy but I don't know, I guess not my kind of game.
