I might just beg for Coldfire Keep scraps from Bruticis. Sort of lukewarm on everything else. Bah, never mind, he doesn't own it. What a fail.
If it makes you feel better, Coldfire is a mobile port. Complete with "mouse gesture" controls.

Scratches a minor dungeon crawler itch, but not much else.

edit: I also couldn't find any button that opens a menu for saving or any way to change any settings. Had to alt-F4 it to quit.

Gala's new Monday Bundle is live for $1.49

It has Blade Symphony in it! Good thing I've owned it for over a year and still haven't played it yet! :whee:

Bardbarian

Coldfire Keep

Blade Symphony

Into the Dark: Ultimate Trash Edition ~ wtf is this?

Toki Tori 2

Micy Roll

I originally thought the Ultimate Trash part was a joke/pun. Imagine my surprise when it's the actual title for the game, digging the honesty there.

Now I have a bit of sick in my mouth...

Ah this is poop since I liked BundleInABox quite a bit for it's unique choice of games. Guess i'll have to get all the DRM free ones I want from the bundles (bought 3 I think).....I really wish IndieRoyale would have gone instead.
While I understand you feelings, IR going under would be a much bigger PITA for all bundle-CAGs. (No MysterD, buying the Humble THQ Bundle does not make you a bundle-CAG.)

Hmm. That's pretty good... but only because of Blade Symphony. Would have been a great bundle if it was one of the $1 ones, but not so good when Toki Tori 2+ (some HIB? IG?) and Bardbardian (BM12) have been bundled before.
Not all of use FakeCAGed BM12....

That Trash looks like hot trash.
It's no //N.P.P.D. RUSH//- The milk of Ultraviolet

You just want the hot Trash indie game.

I'm tempted to finally FakeCAG Septerra Core for $0.99 (80% off), however half my friends own it... why?  none of you should have paid $8 in BM5, and neither of it's two BundleSaviors appearances were super-hot for bundle-CAGs.

It's one of those games that haunts me on GOG...  ...though GOG also has it a Mac version...

Personally, I traded a spare bundle game for it over on Steamtrades when that bundle launched.

Hmm, I'm kind of tempted to. If I recall correctly, I got the game for like a euro when I was in Germany, but it didn't have English on it or some such crap so I never played it. Playing Diablo II in German was hard enough...

I was interested in Septerra Core, but I read in a review that the GOG version has the latest update that the Steam version is missing. The steam version crashes at a certain boss and has stability issues.

I wouldn't recommend the Steam version. Lotsa damn problems with that game on Steam. I would assume the GOG version would be the one to get. They usually fix those sorts of problems. I have it on Steam so speaking from first hand experience.

Edit: after looking through the Steam forums looks like someone posted the GOG.com fixed exe which you can copy and paste into the steam version to fix those problems.

Looks like it's time to give it another shot.

FakeCAG isn't a simple above X% off or above $X.YZ...  It's a multidimensional set that includes many factors such as quality, reputation, number of times bundles, prices and key-situation of those bundles, key drops, past glitches, card prices, etc.

There's no simple guide to "FakeCAG for :newbie: s"

Why doesn't someone just make a chart of what's considered FakeCAG and not?
For simplification purposes...

Is {insert game name in question} you are about to purchase the cheapest it has ever been within one Metro: Last Light or less?

----> Yes. <TrueCAG> (valid at moment of purchase only)

Any answer except yes.

Inoe, right?

Thankfully I spoder'd the Mac version.

If you got the dollar day price on it though, you're a trueCAG
We need to weigh your heart to be sure of that.

While there may not be a simple guide to FakeCAG, it does tend to go something like this:

For Bundles:

Humble Bundle third tier?

Indie Royale after 30 minutes

Yes: FAKE! No: CAG

Everything else:

Is it a penny or free?

Yes: CAG No: FAKE! (why u no buy in bundle)

Praetorians got onto STEAM??? Any chance anyone got keys for it from Digital Game Factory bundle from Groupees? or IG 10 for that matter (don't have it). If not, may stick with DRM-free or get it for 1 buck.

No, no, getting something for free is only truCAG if it's free for less than an hour, if it's only free on a site that nobody has ever heard of, if it's free because of a glitch, or if you're spodering it. In all other contexts, getting something free is at best neutral, and frequently #FakeCAG.

I hope the well-meaning CAG-regulars are reminded of why the correct answer is:

Unfortunately, no one can be told exactly what #FakeCAG is.

I just checked my IG bundle and as expected, because IG sucks at giving out Steam keys for previous bundle games, there is no Steam key on my 10 page.

Looks like there's a lot more problems with Septerra Core than what the GOG fixed exe can fix. None of the videos will play. There's an unofficial patch that's posted here.

http://www.gog.com/forum/septerra_core_legacy_of_the_creator/unofficial_patch/page1

It requires an old version of Quicktime though in order to reencode the videos to a more compatible format.

If you need one get it here.

http://www.oldapps.com/quicktime_player.php?old_quicktime=14#download-section

I'm in the process of trying it out now. Will post results.

Gamefly is having a 1-day only Paradox sale on Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV, for 75-81% off.

Games include:All Activate on Steam.

Use coupon code JUL20OFF for an additional 20% off if you spend $10 or more. (UKJUL20OFF for UK customers)

(Humble had the CKII Collection a lot cheaper ($11.99 flash deal) during their summer sale so maybe wait for a better sale.)

Looked into it. Apparently the developer is being awful saying that they have given out as many Steam keys as they are able for that particular game (If that claim I read is false, then they haven't given out any keys at all) Although they only promised DRM-free, I feel that it's sucky of them to do such a thing. Maybe months from now. I should totally hold out and see. This game should go 80 percent off again.

Re: Septerra Core. I wrote to Topware asked if I could get a Steam key and forwarded my GOG receipt. They gave me one. YMMV if course.

Re: Praetorians. It was just a dollar or so, uh, somewhere. I forget where but I got an ITAD alert about it.

Edit: Doh. Its a weekly for a dollah. Also I just checked and it's been $1.25-$1.50 several times recently between Steam Greenman an Gamefly. Seems tovbe a regular of the sales circuit.

I'll allow a qualifier -- free (not intended, or short time only) -- but free is never FakeCAG. Free stuff may be unwanted shovelware, but it's always cheap.

Of course, skitty makes the best point that .... (spooky voice) no one knows.
