Looks like I wasn't lucky, no restock on Amazon for vita. Looks like I'm getting it from gamestop. Any recommendations on games for it guys?

Edit: also, 32 gig or 16 gig for memory card?
Also if your interested in PS+, This week from Frys Electronics you can get a year of PS+ for $30 with a promo code. If your interested in this send me a PM and I'll give you my code. PS+ will just add PS4, PS3 and Vita games to your backlog. Plus you get some really great sales on games for being a member. Sorry I can't forget the cloud saves which is one of the best features.

If you are a digital hoarder and need to have everything at once for no apparent reason get the 64GB.

Also I would just rent Tearaway. Its so short and has no replay value.

I prefer the Vita Ports of lego games.
First having it all is reason enough. Second, having it all at once on a 64GB...

Yeah, I adore the game but it's really only worth owning if it's insanely cheap or you want it for collection/appreciation purposes.

Weirdo.

To be fair, I had to read your post a couple of times to understand what you were getting at.

And going back to Don't Starve, I enjoyed it a lot at first but permadeath on a game like that just drags things out and makes it monotonous. Pretty light on gameplay so it ends up just being a thinking mans game (nothing wrong with that) but it started feeling like a huge chore just to build myself back up to where I last died.
I enjoyed the couple hours I spent with Don't Starve tonight, I'll definitely go back for more.

You've highlighted my one concern though. I'm already seeing that the first few days you basically need to just stock up and get your character ready to explore and fight their way through the world. If there are a lot of super tough enemies and cheap deaths, that is definitely going to get frustrating and boring.

Still, I'll definitely play to at least unlock all the locked characters and hopefully build one of those machines I need for the Gold trophies.

I have one of those codes too if a regular that I don't hate and isn't 13 can have as well. No Fry's around me and I have five unredeemed years. Stupid Sony and not running any promos on renewing PS+.

Tearaway (on sale at gamefly for 14.99 if not sold out). sale hasnt started yet.

How many digital games do you have?
I bought my first digital game this weekend because of you guys, so I now own: wild arms, wild arms 2, legend of dragoon (I have the disc itself, but figured for $1 why not), papo and yo, and virtue fighter 2. I'm not sure if I would buy more digital or not, I think it would be good for PS Classics I can't find the physical for anymore.

Depends on price for 16 or 32. Also don't know if you have been doing ps plus... If so uncharted, gravity rush, and strangers wrath are all good!

You have to get tearaway though! Best use of the vita to date! If you like shooters Killzone is good as well!

RPGs, persona 4 golden
Amazon has the ps vita memory card 32 gb for $69 and the 16 gb for $35.

Am definitely going to look into tearaway, I liked what i've played of Little Big Planet so far, so I'm excited to see what else they created.

Just because you said you have never played an AC game in the Backlog Support Group forum you may want to look into that Assassin's Creed Liberation. Also if you like RPG's, Persona 4 Golden is supposed to be amazing. Tearaway is a blast. Avoid the Lego games, because they are all subpar ports.
I meant AC as in Animal Crossing since someone mentioned it on there. I've played the first two, the rest are all in my backlog :0

All of them except that the Vita doesn't have any games. There's little worth buying in physical form since everything eventually goes cheaper on PSN and 90% of the imaginary longings of Vita owners are on there. Which leads to...

64GB. 32GB if you're going to settle and not wait three weeks for one to get here from Japan. Don't go any smaller, you'll regret it like everyone else.

Just remember that you want it big when it comes to things you're sticking in your pants.
I'm not sure if I see myself filling up a 64 gb, so I guess it's the 32 for me.

I could say something on the big and pants thing, but I don't think you guys are ready for my pervertedness

32GB is more than enough to have a good chunk of games at once. If you are a digital hoarder and need to have everything at once for no apparent reason get the 64GB. Otherwise you can just erase games and put others as you go. 32GB is plenty. I have like 15-20 retail games stored.

Also I would just rent Tearaway. Its so short and has no replay value.

Ill echo this statement Ive said countless times. I prefer the Vita Ports of lego games. So much better and straight to the point. They get rid of the open world hubs but really who cares about them? Who in their right mind drives around lego gotham for hours and beats up people? There is no point to open world lego hubs. Thats all thats missing from the Vita versions. Honestly most people who tell you they suck on vita just relay the message from others who dont know what they are talking about. Ive beaten all of them on Vita but Lego Hobbit. Still need that one.
I played Lego Harry Potter on the PSP and liked it, I'm assuming the Vita Lego games are similar?

Thank you.

I was debating buying PS+ because I was going to get the Vita, but wasn't sure of the cost, this definitely seems doable.

I'm assuming code means I can buy it online and don't have to go to a physical store?

Also, cloud saves?

edit: just saw the pm part haha I'm tired, I'll pm you right now.

Im weird for actually playing and finishing games? :whistle2:

@Equistina: I would just say if you like lego games they are fun on vita to play. Are they worth owning permanently is up to you.
I really liked Lego Harry Potter, but I think a lot of it was because I love those books.

I bought Lego LOTR but haven't played it yet.

I can't think of any Lego Vita titles right now though.

Your game saves are sent up into the cloud. You've already heard my suggestions when it comes to the PS Vita. I have heard that PSP/PS1 games/saves can't be sent up into the cloud though. Personally, I still prefer physical games when it comes to the Vita. I know that digitally they aren't as big as PS3/PS4 games, but if I can fit 15+ physical Vita games on a 4GB Memory Card then that's alright with me. I do dislike the losing game saves once you delete though. :whistle2:

@Equistina: I have a 64gig and it is filled, but I'm a bit of a digital hoarder. As far as games, I use mine as an indie machine for the most part. OlliOlli, Spelunky, Fez, and tons of other indies are all great to have

You're the one putting it in your pants.

Yes. I was talking about your preference in LEGO games though.

Now I'm back to Killer Instinct and spamming this move over and over like I have been for the last hour plus!

Special batch of kool aid tonight. I don't know why someone supposedly saving for a PS4 would defer in order to buy a vita and memory card. And this is being encouraged.

THEN we have someone recommending LEGO ports while regarding Tearaway as "rent-only". I can't.

My recs: P4G, Tearaway, Terraria, PS+

I never said I was saving for a PS4. :shame:

I've said before that there isn't enough games I want out for it yet for me to buy one yet, but if the hubby decides to buy it for me I won't say no.

I've been saving for a Vita for a about a month now, I decided I wanted one a couple of months ago.

I know everyone is probably done with the pigeon dating sim now so here's something everyone might want to pick up.

Well it's clearly the only system worth owning on the market. How else could it get away with having no games?

I agreed with them on the basis of length and replay factor and it was my second favorite game of 2013 and first ever plat. I'm going to buy it again once I see it for $10 to have in my collection but I'll likely never play it again.

No stream? O:)

If you want to see that I guess I'll start one in a minute. People have watched me do weirder things.

Oh I forgot the whole reason I changed my name to Corgstradamus was to make a prediction. I predict that as soon as I buy the Outlast DLC it will go on sale the following week.

Do you ever look at your Netflix "Top Picks" and think you should see a psychiatrist?
Murder Porn?

Better be careful or you're going to be making rpg level predictions soon.

This is why I'm restraining myself from buying Killer Instinct season 1.

Agreed. Which might seem strange since I still enjoy it but I sort of accepted it for what it is, quirks and all. No way I could play it everyday.

I do wish some items at least carried over. Or that there was a way to bank them (at a cost). The first days serve no other purpose other than to gather wood, a pickaxe etc and it just gets tedious after restarting so many times.

Well, apologies for jumping to conclusions. We could be here all night debating which has the "better" library (not larger), but sleep beckons. Guess it comes down to preference. I'm sure you know what you like so I won't patronize with the usual "JRPGs and indies machine" speech.

Even if you must rent it, play Tearaway! Do not be led astray by the lost.

I never said Tearaway was bad but it is overhyped and has NO REPLAY VALUE. Lego games are fun for what they are and should be "rent only" too. And besides I never see eye to eye with you. You usually like very simple boring games like Journey, nuff said. Don't assume so much.

Wait... Messi is seriously the cover athlete for FIFA 15 too?  That's three years running.  Guy's great but out of all the amazing players in the world you couldn't find anyone else EA?

Ironically though he's not sad on this cover.

I'm like 8 pages behind, but I just wanted to say fuck River Song before I forget.
I liked her in E.R.. I haven't gotten to her in Doctor Who yet. I just finished S3 last night. The first half of that season sucked, but the last part of it was quite good, especially the whole thing with the villain in the last 3 episodes. The relationship with Martha was fairly annoying from beginning to end, though, so I'm looking forward to who comes on next.

I've never actually seen an Ape movie. Rise of the Planet of the Apes does look quite good, though, and I've been tempted to give it a try.
Planet of the apes will always be the best one, but Rise was very close. The original movies definitely have some campy-ness to them and I would say you could skip most of them unless you really get into them.

Planet of the apes (1968), Rise, and Dawn are all worth seeing and a great place to start

Some of you need to put your ac on earlier. We have ours at 74 during the day and 72 at night.
Mine kicks down to 72 at 10pm and then stays that way until 7:30am, at which point we've both left for work. Then it goes up to 78, then back down to 74 at 3:30pm before the wife gets home. Helps keep the bills down; $107 is as high as it's gone this Summer. It's been a pretty mild season in Nashville so far, though, only getting up to the mid-90s. Previous years it's gotten about 10 degrees hotter and stayed that way constantly, whereas this year we've had a lot of cooler days.

Usually it gets up to around $200 at the high end. When I bought the house there was no floor insulation and we hit $400 some Winter months. Not fun.

So I know this is an old game, but did anyone here play Skyrim? I'm going to play it again, try for my first platinum since I'm close on that game, just had a question on it if anyone could provide their opinion.
I can't imagine playing a non-exclusive FPS on console. I do need to get to Skyrim on PC soon, but I'll probably play FO3 and NV first. The PC versions of all those games have so many graphic and gameplay mods that playing on PS3 (especially with as buggy as that it supposed to be) sounds like a terrible time in comparison.

I guess we can't all be part of the PC Master race, but it still surprises me when somebody talks about playing such an old game on console.

Just picked up God Of War 3 from Gamestop.com $4.35 shipped. Now I will finally have the entire collection... well I traded in Ascension but I finished it, so I would never play it again and I have every other game digital.
I got it for $4.03. That puts me at 1-3 since I got 1-2 free via PSN during that glitch. Are the Origins games worth picking up? If so, when in the sequence should they be played? I know they're prequels, but I mean from a gameplay perspective, if that makes a difference. So far I've only played 1 and the first hour or so of 2.

Edit: also, 32 gig or 16 gig for memory card?
For games it depends on what you like. Honestly if you've been grabbing games via PS+ then I'd recommend just playing those, as there are tons, and grab extra games as they pop up on sale on PSN.

For the card...I've got a 32gb and an 8gb. Honestly unless you're going to try to have a huge collection available at all times, I'd go for 16gb. I've got a ton of games on my 32gb and still have about half of it free. Granted I beat and delete games and never go back again, but still...even with the very largest games you could still fit at least 8 Vita games. When you talk about PSP and PS1, which can be ~100mb-2gig max, you can fit tons more.

Check your hoarding priveledge, basically. If you're on the insane side, get a 32gb. If you've got a bit of sense, 16gb is fine. I'd say avoid 8gb just for the extra-large games like BL2, but otherwise that would have been fine as well for most gamers.

Your game saves are sent up into the cloud. You've already heard my suggestions when it comes to the PS Vita. I have heard that PSP/PS1 games/saves can't be sent up into the cloud though. I can confirm that you cannot upload PSP/PS1 games to the cloud. It's really annoying and I don't at all understand that limitation.
