I'm sure you mean well, but I disagree. If this forum and other internet dwellings can bring me a little laughter and joy I don't see why they can't be equally capable of bothering me sometimes. Nobody's playing "victim".

I made an innocuous post concerning cross-gen ports. Basically repeating what @Tyler@ said a few weeks ago about LBP3. Naturally, @captain@ replies. That's cool - I'm game for a debate. But then the curmudgeons creep out and ruin it with that tired mercenary shit. People who I'm completely unacquainted with but feel it's their chance to show they belong? Breakfuss arguments a rite of passage now? Idk but this thread has actually been really cool lately (despite my initial reservations) so it's like why are you dredging up old negativity. I know I've personally tried not to offend anyone's sensibilities. No mention of Polygon from me. No trophies. And barely any Nintendo talk (had to sneak in a little). Doesn't matter, though.

Wish people would consider the merit of someone's post before writing it off as shit-stirring. Stop trying to gain favor with your beloved Prophet and his disciples. Think for yourself. But, we pile on here because... internet? That's basically what you've told me to accept. Even when I don't personally engage in it. I'm here to meet other cheap asses, not cheap asses.

just finished jet set radio. Gladly deleted It off my vita. Moving on to something else. Mentioned earlier Chains of Olympus, but may finish sideway New York first. I actually feel like I am putting a large dent in my back log. Hopefully by the time school starts I can knock out my ps3 or vita collection...but that maybe too much to expect in 6 ish weeks. Maybe I should try to finish my physical games and get back to digital once those are done. I have less than 10 physical ps3 games and probably 10 physical vita games I haven't even played.

I think you're reading into it a bit much with that one. When you find yourself in arguments with various people, don't you think that maybe there's a chance the problem might be at your end? How often can it be "their" fault and not yours when different parties are involved? I'm not saying it's always your fault, but you find yourself in these situations a lot and I think if you truly believe what I quoted from you (seems tongue-in-cheek but semi-serious) you're mistaken. If that was the case people would be jumping your shit as soon as you stepped foot inside here.

Sorry, man.... but at this point that merc thing is stuck. And the fact that you keep bringing it up just adds fuel to it's life. I tried to tell you in the last thread but you didn't stick to it. Best to just roll with it and have some fun. You seemed to do that for awhile, but then you flipped back to getting annoyed with it and that's just not going to work with this group. You know how we operate. We all cut up and have fun together. Showing a tear is just going to make it worse.

A lot of how what you say is perceived is in it's presentation. If you think talking about Nintendo is off-limits then you're looking at it the wrong way. The subject matter may be sensitive at times, but it's mostly in how you present it that's going to stir things up. I saw that post you made to jkam..... no one said a word.

You want to talk about being falsely accused of shit-stirring and get upset about the merc thing but then you keep up with this whole cult and kool-aid thing which essentially attacks the whole group. A lot of home-schoolers are anti-social and shut-ins. True, it's a stereotype, but a lot of stereotypes exist for good reason. They're also the reason why exceptions to the rule get so pissed when they're lumped into them. My wife was home-schooled but she's super-friendly and outgoing. Gets compliments all the time on her people skills. A good friend of mine is gay and he gets upset at all the gay stereotypes because he doesn't fall into the majority of them, but he understands why they exist. My point being that I didn't get upset at the comment despite my wife having been home-schooled and I don't know why anyone else would either unless they themselves were home-schooled and just got tired of the misconceptions that were thrown their way.

But back on topic in this greatly off-topic thread..... people insert the merc jokes not to kick you down (maybe sometimes) but mostly because they're just making a joke. You can say it's in poor taste all you want but that's not going to stop it. I know you didn't come here because you heard it was a classy place.

If you used it to make a point in general I doubt anyone would bat an eye, but directing it at someone that says they enjoyed them would obviously get you some more of those comments that you love so much. Again... it's all in the presentation.

And I do this because I'm trying to resolve it.  As frustrating as you can be @breakfuss, I think you can be cool sometimes.  If I thought you were a PoS then I wouldn't make the effort.

Feels like the puzzles are more streamlined whereas with the first it seemed like they popped up every 5 seconds. "Oh, professor, it's a tree!" "That reminds me Luke, my dear boy, solve this..." Ugh. Now they at least they fit more with the story.

The games get a lot better at tying the puzzles in with the narrative with each game. I've been replaying Curious Village, and it's pretty hard to go back as although the improvements are subtle they make a big difference in the overall flow of the game. Unwound Future is even better at this than Diabolical Box, which is a large part of why it's my current favorite (that and there may have been tears shed at the ending).

And a good Vita game looks like Persona 4, which might be the best thing since individual cheese slices.

This is irrelevant because Zen's pinball designs are awful. If you're only going on price I'm sure there's some even shittier pinball games you could pick from.

Having said that, this PS4 port of Pinball Arcade has some issues. The sound quality is *terrible*. Allegedly that will get fixed in the next patch, though. Also some of the games have some issues like Gorgar - the pop bumpers are always lit, but they shouldn't be.

 
For anyone that has any of the season 3 tables on Pinball Arcade PS4, do they have trophies? I know on PS3/Vita they ran out of trophies after season one, I think. I am wondering if Sony has opened it up a bit on PS4.

Apparently the reason we don't have season 2 yet is because it is a huge effort to add in the dynamic lighting that the PS4 version has, but they are working on it. We'll get season 2 eventually.

So how do you guys find out how long it takes to 100% a game. I beat that Toejam n Earl, but can't find anything that says how long it took me to 100% it. psnprofiles/truetrophies? or is it just from 1st trophy til last, real time?

 
just preordered oddworld new n tasty for $30 american. I then proceeded to get in to my solid gold car while I was lighting up a cuban cigar with a $1000 bill and drinking cristal directly out of a diamond encrusted baby bottle that was signed by every member of the rat pack. fuck I'm so rich.

I've been two away for nearly two weeks now. Just need Social Lubricant and Disc Space Full. The drinking is a non issue, I'm just not bothering with it till I finish the songs, which may be never at this point unless it randomly happens in between my online hacking. I do the sensible thing and stop bothering when it stops being fun.

yeah, if there's no in-game timer psnp for me from first trophy to last (i.e. the 'completed time' they put next to the rank).

It took me 30 minutes to get disk space full last night... if you go to online free roam for some reason a lot of the people you can hack for songs, got the last three I needed just running around there, and then my last one by looking at which restaurant it was in and sitting there till it played. Wasn't bad at all.

There's a decent chance I'll play Destiny beta for an hour and then go back to Pinball Arcade goal completing/trophy hunting, but he'll play it to the max. Or maybe the beta will sell me on it finally. Don't know.

Yes, I am almost maxed skills. The key is the music I have only seen when i first start the game or free roam... if you do any side missions or anything I don't see any

The alpha didn't feel that different to me from Halo and the like, but other people seemed to see much more in it than that. I assume I missed the point. I'm going to try again with the Beta.
