I thought the DC plat was a blast. I took a couple month break in the middle, but I love side scroller beat em ups and this one has enough extra meat on it to feel more fulfilling than something like final fight. the 4 player drop in/out coop really rounds it out well and it's totally playable while watching tv with the wife since sometimes you can briefly just wail on square and look away. I think my in-game time was something like 88 hours. ridiculous for sure, but I really enjoyed it, it never felt like a chore to me.

I am sure DC is great fun and I would have tried to plat it if it came out 3 years ago.  But I am trying to clear the backlog more so I can buy a PS4 this year.  Thats all.

is it actually though? it's boring shit that I'd like to play, but I'd rather it not be awful.
Ehh, I wouldn't say it's boring as shit, but it didn't really hook me. I was pretty pleased with it when I started playing it but then I just sort of lost interest. I'll go back to it at some point, but most of you should probably hold off for a discount.

Yo Tyler, you should do a poll before next month about who plans on playing Destiny and for what platform. Make it public so we can start planning teams.
Even though you aren't doing it for boosting, you could also just add tabs to the boosting SS for it. Although more people would likely participate in the poll.

Alright breakfuss, here it is.  This is the one that stuck out to me because I remembered calling you out on it.  It begins with this post and the conversation carries over the next few pages.  Pretty easy to see that you clearly baited cap into this argument.

Stotch, random RL tip: The next time you see a character who has the Alektorophobia trait ("Chickens freak you out."), pick him/her. Then a chicken might randomly appear whenever you break an object, which you can kill in one hit for both an HP refill and the like-named trophy. There's no negative aspect to picking someone with that trait, unless you count the (minimal) damage you take from touching said chicken.

Yo Matt, how you doing on Tony Hawk? I'm getting slightly better, I think. These runs I watch on the trophy guide make it look so easy, but I just can't seem to put it all together like they do.

I didn't mention this last night, but Remember Me is starting to tick me off, mainly in terms of the characters (correct me if I'm wrong, but people with British accents don't say "ain't", right? Nilin's accent doesn't even make sense to me and it sounds out of place somehow), substandard animation in cutscenes/cinematics, and clunky combat. While the music during combat is quite good and I appreciate the overall aesthetic of the in-game world, the poor execution leaves a lot to be desired. Unless something drastic happens between now (Episode 5) and the end, this might be a 3.5/5 game for me.

I'm still going to get the plat, though.

I'm 6ft about 225. I always seem to fluctuate by about 10 pounds but I'd prefer to be around 200 even. Having a desk job definitely doesn't help things any. Not looking forward to Winter that's for sure.

Played some more MGS4 last night. I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end of ACT II. Metal Gear is so weird for me...takes a lot for me to start it up but always enjoy it once I do. They did a really good job with 4 updating the controls, doesn't feel so clunky anymore. Like.

Good I think. Controls just like it used too, albeit with slight hiccups here and there (mainly when going down stairs). I've played the first three levels without buying any skills and have gotten everything but the high score and 100% level. But it's pretty much exactly what I hoped for. It feels just like playing the old games.

And yeah, I watched some of those...I could likely pull some of that off without even looking it up back in the day. But I'm not into that good a shape yet, still rusty. I can still remember doing whole 2 minute runs and only having 1 or 2 combos the whole level, having the high scores in 1 combo. Just chain your tricks using manuals and grinds, hitting certain gaps...all add x1 to your multiplier score.

Looks like the hardest trophies are going to be the completist one, and the one for making it through the mall 3 times in survival mode. I had a few minutes to spare so I tried the survival mode one a few times, got through it twice so it should be doable with a little practice.

not going to try to convince you of its awesomeness since this game isn't as clearly and objectively awesome as something like vanquish, but wrt the accent the actress is welsh (uk) in a (neo-)Parisian setting. maybe you expect her to have a native french accent speaking english?

I haven't looked into all the new modes yet, so no idea what I'm getting into there. I know there's a trophy for holding your combo 30 seconds after the timer runs out. Unless you start working on combos (which you will to get the high scores, or you wont get them), this one could be problematic. Edit: Of course, I guess if you buy your manual balance all the way up, you could just stay stationary and try to hit manuals for 30 seconds.

I guess that's what I was expecting. It's just weird that she's the only one with an accent like that, with no ally or enemy sharing something similar.

Tyler said it but I will reiterate that Lara Croft GoL was great even single player so I am expecting Osiris or whatever to be similar.
That's great to hear. I might play this new one on PS4, then.

Yeah if I didn't have anything else to play, I'd probably play it til I got the plat. In my current situation though, it's probably gonna be something I work on here and there when I don't feel like/have time to start a new game.

How long have you played it so far? I played about 45 minutes yesterday evening, and about 30 minutes last night. It's not going to take too long, imo, to have this one done. If you want to grab that online trophy, hit me up next time you see me on.

Probably like 3 hours. Like I said I'm really not very good at it, it's been so long since I've played a THPS game that I had to re-learn everything.

Already emailed to Nintendo for the reward money.

And then realized I won't get it because they're pissing enough money away as it is.
- Iwata said "only after playing the Wii U is it possible to understand its appeal. Low sales are due to the console being not well-enough known."

I know it, I just don't want it.

Hi! I'm Iwata welcome to my bubble.

Well enough known? So spend more money on marketing? I see more ads for Nintendo than I do Sony and Microsoft though.

Things I Hate

1. Online/multiplayer trophies

2. Social elements incorporated into gameplay

3. Being called Vag
I don't generally go for facebook/twitter integration shit, but having the viewers of your stream be able to control some of what is happening is kind of a novel idea.

I'm sure it can be played without any of that stuff if you want. If you'd actually want to play it that is, if you haven't got your fill from the other dozen or so twin-stick zombie games out already.

I guess I had way too much time vested into it in my youth, I pretty much remembered everything...it's just putting all together smoothly again that's taking some practice. I used to play all these crazy "sports" games though...Dave Mirra, TH, Coolboarders, Xtreme series, etc.

Yeah, that or I just suck at games. Probably a little of both.
