Considering these because they look pretty easy to complete:

• TWA
• Machinarium
• Mutant Mudds

Played and enjoyed all of them. Thomas is the shortest for sure, at only about 2h and little that could cause you to get stuck. Machinarium took me about 3-4h though it could take you more or less depending on how you are at point and click adventure games. Mutant Mudds I haven't finished yet, though it's pretty difficult at times so the length is highly subjective depending on how good you are at platformers.

Not sure about this, cant read Bens article as I dont give polygon any clicks, but ad is pretty telling that they are trying position as underdog.

Machinarium is fun but it is like monkey island and you might get stuck on a puzzle. There are quick walkthroughs online but then again that defeats the purpose of playing the game if you are just going through the motions..

In my defense, IGN loves to publish UK-release information as though it applies to the US (see their Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition article where they said its release date was Oct. 10 without mentioning that that was for the UK and the NA verison's release date is Oct 14).
