i did solo on my 1st time through too.. ppl online were so eager to skip npc speech & cinematic which took away the game experience. Once I completed the game once, then i join online and farm items

 
One further addendum to today's Pinballmania:  FX2 is best experienced with a healthy friendslist to fill out the leaderboards and provide ample reasons to hate that jackass who just beat your best score.  We have a CAG group with 58 players so far, but we're probably missing a bunch of you :newbie: s.  Toss me a message here with a link to your Steam profile or add me (or any other member) on Steam if you want an invite.  You'll be hating your friends in no time!

Be sure to spam all of the members with friend requests, the group itself really doesn't do anything.

To be honest, solo is usually better. Multiplayer allows everyone to just fuck around in 90% of games, while solo is far better balanced for a challenging experience and focus on building a versatile character.

I will come out of the closet as well as as Diablo 3 single player, but that's mostly because I don't want to subject anyone else to my Big Fish Grandma level playing skills.

 
I don't exactly play like everyone else. I insisted on doing 4-man SWTOR group missions by myself and ditched Motoki and Gilby and watched as they were murdered by robots or something, so there's that.

 
Let's see, class that the can stealth out of combat at any time. Class that can't. Yeah, that's some real equal footing there.

I mean I'll admit my ass is a Big Fish Old Lady when it comes to game playing ability but still, that's some seriously unbalanced shit.

 
Just came here to say if you got the Jubilee Bundle from Indieroyale you can claim your Steam key thorugh desura client (website is still messed up with the script) for Bird Assasin. 

Plus it gives you 0.10c for playfire.

I have to agree with Drabe that Diablo 3 is NOT a single player game if you actually want to gear up. I completely agree the campaign should be played solo so you can get the cut scene experience and just enjoy the story. But adventure mode really should be played as a group. The legendary drop rate is MUCH higher in T6 but again best in a group. It is possible to get up to 8 legs per rift under 10 minutes with good groups. Don't get me wrong, there are runs where you get nothing but groups just make the game so much better. I also found it very easy to burn out playing solo since you can't get the gear to play higher torments. Public groups can suck but if you join the class communities, there are a lot of great players out there who will help you out and give advice. The class communities are also really useful for doing loot sharing when you are trying to gear your class.

The game has changed a fair amount with patch 2.1 where soloing in greater rifts is challenging since you can go up to level 100 and the highest so far is 41. Currently sentry build demon hunters are the king by far. So there is room for both playstyles with the new patch but again public groups are pretty much necessary to gear up or else you will get bored and quit the game.

Anyways if anyone is looking for some helping gearing up when you are level 70 or just want to group, add me Daykain#1686.

Wat. Stealth means nothing when you are fighting enemies to finish the mission, lol. It's only for ditching and escaping or dodging enemies.

That game looks awesome. Too bad the dev doesn't have plans for achievements.

Okay whatever you have leet skills and someone going in expecting to be in a group when someone runs off and leaves them just has difficulties because they suck.

I went through 90% of Guild Wars solo, not because I was a bad player, just cause I hated all the pubbies and never could find a guild worth a shit. Probably end up doing the same for TSW.

When I played WoW I was the most hated type of character,

Shadow Priest

"Sorry bro can't heal in shadow form"

And once in League someone asked me if the support I picked can heal. I was like "Yeah, myself"

 
I got Terraria a couple of months after release during the first major sale -- the price was bugged for a day at $2.50 when it should have been $5.

 
I solo a lot of "multiplayer" games because everyone else's goal is to race through as fast as possible for xp and loot. I like to play slow because I'm old and actually try to figure out what's going on in the story, regardless of how shallow it is.

Spelunky irritates me because of that stupid ghost. The game is hard enough already for an old man like me, don't put a time limit on it too. I dread time limit sequences in most games.
