The locked phantom should only reduce the price of the resell. Not the phantom.

The phantom is taking no extra risk.

So you should get no extra discount.
 
30/20/10 is fair. The phantom shouldn't cost more than the resell.

Edit: But, the resell should be the one to decide if there is a locked spot in the first place.

Indeed. The other should mind his own beeswax (as I do to how people conduct their shares), as this is how we have been doing it for awhile.

Can see that dude still has some issues.

What is your problem?

Issues with what? I have no problem telling everyone about your shady deals between this forum and GTZ but haven't mentioned it at all.

I am merely letting the resell know that he is getting screwed in this deal.

If you are going to have a resell that is not yourself have a locked phantom then he should get the discount. He is taking all of the risk here. All of it.

But I'd expect nothing less from you. Trying to screw another member and selfishly take all the benefit yourself.

For those that are new to gamesharing, please know that if you have a locked phantom in your group that as a resell you have all the risk. You have another person with the password to the account. You cannot change it. Or else they lose access to the account. So make sure you trust the member completely.

With that said the price structure has been talked about tons of times here. If there is a locked phantom then the resell has been able to take 10 bucks off his share.

The phantom has nothing change for him. He should get no monetary benefit. So if you see a member offer a locked phantom and he is the phantom and trying to take money off for himself, it is a sneaky way of making it cheaper for himself. He is taking no extra risk but profiting off of your risk.

Wouldn't that make the resell and the phantom the same price? Why would the phantom want to pay the same as the resell on a new setup? $5 discount on both sides is how I've always seen it done. If the person buying the resell has a problem with the locked phantom buyer than they can just pass on the buy.

I always get a chuckle when people put themselves as phantoms and add other things in the account to make it cheaper for them when they add more risks to the other account members.

The resell and locked phantom have all the risk. The phantom does nothing different. No way that he should get an added price benefit. This has been talked about at length.

That's fine. Each account can be priced however. But the phantom shouldn't be making that choice.
 
I don't think we will ever see locked phantoms sold off to people other than senior members which makes the risk almost not exist. Anyone that buys into a group with a locked phantom should call shenanigans if the person taking the locked slot isn't an outstanding member.

Person needs to check in a post I made earlier where I wasn't seeking a locked spot.

A traditional set up was made, then a senior member on here wanted a lock in the group.

So I obliged, and went with how we usually do locked spot groups.

$30/$20/$10

So, if I seem like I was being shady, and screwing and taking benefit (finally read all that junk).

Then I apologize if it seemed that way. But that's how we usually conduct locked groups.

I'll just continue to shake my head in disbelief. 

EDIT: Hell, the phantom spot isn't even for me, it's a bud, like I stated earlier.

The whole element of locked phantoms is tricky. I get why it's done. Certain games allow you to do the quick loading screen switch and still play on your main account.

I just think it's a dangerous thing to start offering. It opens the door for more scammers to do things. And more people having access to the account.

In the end the resell is really putting himself at risk. I hope this forum doesn't adapt the locked phantom as the norm.

Or if the person offering the locked phantom is taking the phantom himself. This is a big red flag.

WillGTZ knows this. It's one way him and his crew at GTZ deal with their shady tactics.

Just be careful who you deal with. That's all.

Also it's even shadier when a guy is doing an entire account and takes a phantom and offers a locked phantom and says the account isn't even for him. It's for a friend. Should be a big red flag.

The problem that I see with locked phantom is that (as someone mentioned before) it can be resold so that mean that you would have to deal with future potential buyers, changing passwords, exchanging information, Etc. For a $5 discount... I know that everyone can decide whether they like to have a LP or not, but at least for me it's not worth it.

I agree. If it's going to be done the resell and locked phantom need to have a very close relationship with the account. And when the account is resold this creates another headache.

Again, a headache that only the resell and locked phantom deals with. The phantom just gets to sit there and chill. Which is why the argument has been made (and agreed on by many) that the pricing should reflect it.

Just a quick question on the locked phantom

So for a game if we take fifa as an example:

1. The normal phantom downloads the game

2. Then the resell and locked phantom downloads the game, and they can both use the online features of the game and use their seperate accounts for trophies and stats? But the main accounts password cannot be changed or what? Confusing.

 
Yes, but the phantom should not be paying the same exact price as the resell. There would be 0 incentive for anyone to opt in for the phantom then. Why would anyone want to pay the same price for a slot they can sell compared to one they couldn't?

The best way I think to handle it would be to ignore locked spots in groups, and just sell them separately later on. Then nobody can really complain, as nobody can tell you how to price your own things for sale. I still think locked phantoms are priced too high, but it seems the community has agreed on $10/slot. If it were $5/slot and the resell were taking the discount, that's a litle bit better but the pricing structure for ps4 games still sucks for phantoms regardless. We can't really alter it either or nobody will opt in for resells cause they'd be too expensive. It's a lose/lose.

Ultimately, resells should be able to determine if they want to sell the locked spot, but don't be surprised if your phantom backs out and just makes another group as a resell with a locked slot since it'd be the same price, and then it becomes hard to find anyone to take the phantom at the same price as the resell. That reason is why it has to get split between both, or at the very least a $3/$7 split between the locked slot proceeds.

I'm not going to explain it. I don't think it should be offered so there's no reason to talk about it. It makes accounts prime targets for scammers and shady folks.

I actually agree with this pravado.

The locked spots should never be offered when groups are made. Then if the resell wants to offer a spot he can offer it and take the risk and make the extra cash.

This removes the risk in account creation and let's the resell assume the risk if he wants to. And make the money. It makes the phantom an independent entity.

The main problem I have with locked slots is that if I'm buying a resell, I have to worry about there being a locked phantom on the account. A lot of the times when I inquire about it, people have no idea. This becomes problematic, as I'd like to be able to change the password on a ps4 resell when I buy it. So if you are going to allow a locked slot, when it comes time to resell, make sure to tell whoever is buying it about the account. Resells with locked slots attached to them should also be re-sold for cheaper than they normally would imo

Also, wow. If Destiny servers go down you can't play the game at all? Well this sucks.

In my honest opinion bro there should be no reason to change a password on a resells on both consoles period im still grining off idiots changing passwords on shares im yet to play i lost 4 shares due to password changes this year THATS BULLSHIT.

also are there any groups that include modnation racers? MANNNN that title is such a hidden gem. I wish they can make a ps4 sequal

with ps3, obviously not cause changing the pass would screw over the other resell.

with PS4 there is only one resell. no reason not to change the password. eliminates all previous users who have had access to the acct from getting on it.

How many hours would you say the Destiny platinum requires? I know no one has it yet, but I'm looking for a guesstimate. I'm debating if I should just play the singleplayer on an alternate account. If it's going to take 500+ hours, and they continually add DLC dropping your percentage, I'd rather not even begin down the 100% road.

I'm playing it on an alternate account myself, so I can just enjoy the game and not care about trophies and dlc.
