I'm getting annoyed at the game because I hardly get any armor with light let aloe any legendary.

I have three characters at level 20. I have ONE legendary arm armor from a drop. Recently got my Hunter up to level 21 after played 3 hours today.

Everytime I get gear it doesn't have light, wtf!

Guess I may have to shitty ass grinding to get vanguard/faction points to BUY legendary items.

You gotta save up strange coins and motes of light for Xur on firday and saturday and playing pvp helps out too but yea u gotta get vanguard marks and buy some legendary stuff.

I just beat the raid and got two legendary items, u jelly?

3 characters?

Destiny is really about the time consuming grind, and with no way to transfer items to Alts/mail items (unless your Vault is shared?!? I dont have alts to test,)

I see no point in multiple characters.

took me so shaq-fu'in long to get my first Legendary.

But really theres a system placed here.

Read wiki, watch the vid guides. Like any MMO theres tons of Help (even if Bungie doesnt want to call this an MMO)

Level your Crypt Rank to 6+ before you go off cracking open your L.Engrams.

Wasted like 3-4 L.Engrams (worth about 2 days of constant farming) and got all Blues and Coins when the Rank was only 4.

bumped him to 7 via grinding/farming and only Identifying the Blue Engrams and Vault-ing the purple, By Rank 7 I had Eight L.Engrams (3 from the Rank Level Up packages)

I got 3 Legendary from it all.

Proving, higher the Crypt Rank, the Higher the chance at getting better gear.

Sure its slow, but results do exist. Its not impossible.

If you rather rely on good ol' Lady Luck (RNG) go play Crucible, I hear a ton of people getting Legendary and even Exotic gear randomly. Sadly I feel its broken in that Loot is random in the Crucible, it doesnt matter how well/crap you do.

Ever since I sold my Vita last April, I have been thinking about picking one up again.

But then I remembered that the PS Vita TV is coming out on October the 14th, and that my phone is due for an upgrade this coming November. So am thinking get the VIta TV and the Xperia Z3 phone (for remote play/PS Now streaming), and I'll be set.

Let's clear something, items transfer through the vault. We don't know for sure if cyptarch ranking has any effect on what you get. It's all based on the stupid rng they have going. I have gotten 3 legendary engrams yesterday and those were my only. 2/3 turned into legendary items when my cyrptarch was level 4. So no, this does not prove, the highger the crypt rank, the higher the chance.

I've found maybe two legendary engrams and both spit out rares. lol. Bungie be trolling. I did get three legendary equipment drops (2 were helmets) at the end of missions, though. @Tokyo I've had a lot luck in the crucible with rare drops. Worked my way from 20 to 23. Did the Queens bounties and missions and now I'm 25. Still don't have enough reputation or marks to purchase from my faction. Indeed a serious grind. None of this was probably helpful to you.

Enjoy it. It was one of the first PS3 games I played. Story is bland but gameplay was addictive and fun once you get used to it

Word of advice generally do arena stages close to when you unlock them, otherwise they're very grindy and boring.
 
I once went just shy of 6 months in World of Warcraft without a single item upgrade. We were a top 200 guild as well.

Hopefully Bungie ups the rewards slightly or the game will be forgotten by the masses soon as the new AAA title season is approaching fast.

I'm not big on PVP so I can't see that happening. In any case the game after 20 is bad. Finding gear with +light but usually with lower stats (defense) is kind of bunk.

The worse part is that game "ends" at 20 but you're still locked out from raids most heroic strikes/weeklies, where the potential for better gear lies.

You're forced to grind the same events/missions to raise your rep level or get really lucky with a drop. If the game had a little of variety it wouldn't be so bad. I also dislike the marks weekly cap and the glimmer cap.

But yeah I'm done. I'm not a grinder.

. Anyone that bought slender, look up how to do the bonus mission. It's god damn terrifying, has a much more marble hornets feel than the regular game. Every time you go to pause the screen distorts a little instead. Actually a trophy tied to bein a puss by tryin to pause enough times and gettin denied lol

If your still playin destiny now, u should try putting in a different game cause Stockholm syndrome has gotten the better of you and time is valuable :p

Maybe it's cause I'm workin full time now, but I get home and don't have any desire to play it. I loved the gameplay immensely but there's nothing to strive for until they update it. Your only gonna be l25 if uve played it nonstop

u just mad cause i got nice legendary loot from dat raid son. im halfway to 28! :D/

 
what u gonna do with that slightly above average (stat wise) loot, kill the same old enemies on the same old maps and grind to level 30 to get no reward? lol. loot is only meaningful if you're able to use it on new and exciting things, if you're just killin harder versions of the same enemy using stronger gear it's literally just replayin the same shit you played already. that time could be spent beatin like 10 other great games imo

everyone is entitled to their opinion tho, not saying yours is wrong just stating my own

Watching a documentary of it, and it looks beautiful -- lotsa wildlife and great for a frustrated outdoorsman like myself.

In the summer 22 hours of Sunlight around Nome, no time for sleep. Keep on gaming at midnight with the Sun still up.

You basically explained a MMORPG this used to be the biggest complaint over in World of Warcraft when a new expansion comes out dudes rush to the new level cap without experiencing the ambience of the game also Blizzard chugs out new instances and raids every couple months just take a wait and see approach. I think because this is a fps alot of ppl dont look past it. BESIDES PLAY CRUCIBLE ITS FUN
