Come on, Carl. Make it a 1 game minimum already. I only want Orbital Gear and Capoeira. You don't need more of my ones.

As I said in the Groupees thread, I didn't put this bundle together but is the thought of saving yourself 33 cents really that appealing?

Actually, don't answer that, I know the code round here :)

You don't want Orbital Gear. Played it .... it's crap.

I dunno why Steam say's it's single player, it's multi-player only. Last time I played it for PlayFire rewards, it had 3 people playing.

To preorder Isaac Rebirth or not? It does come with a TF2 hat!
Its 3 keys via Dispenser/traders so even cheaper if you go that route.

Don't knock the hat either. I sold the 5 Alien Isolation items for $45 total (before Valve fees). I was lucky though and I think I was the first to notice so I got my things on sale quickly and just kept changing prices until all was gone. The two Pyro items sold at $15 each very quickly and I sold the scout set for $5 each. At worst you'd get a couple bucks back from selling the hat. Considering I got the game for less than that, I did alright with pre-ordering Alien.

Carl, I miss your afternoon/evening streams. Neurotoxin is nice and all but he lacks your English gentlemanly manner.

Just a note - the upgrade pack does not include two pieces of DLC: The Child's Play pack (some limited edition costumes), and the uh... Grass Roots 'Merica Weapon Skin.

It also seems to be missing two other bits of preorder-only DLC, but SteamDB doesn't say what they are.
Seriously? The exclusive weapon is pretty much the whole reason I was planning on picking up the upgrade pack eventually. If it doesn't include that it's basically just a collection of most of the DLC.

It includes the weapon, just not the extra Grass Roots skin. The 'Merica Gun is included in the Commander-In-Chief Pack which is included in the Upgrade Pack.

I took a fresh look at the Card Idler and this time got it set up and running rather quickly. I don't know if the instructions changed or if I was just in a clearer state of mind but I suspect the second.
Inversion: H4A06-INHYD-MD7ML

Also, Arkham Origins is taking FOR-EV-ER to get its damned cards and is holding up progress.
Just wait until you get to Awesomenauts. That makes Arkham Origin's pace look like it has rocket boosters.

Oh man. I wasn't planning on getting this, but you might have just tipped the balance for me.
Was close on Costume Quest 2 and Prison Architect but if Double Fine is already dropping CQ2 to 50% off in under a month I'm sure it'll just keep getting cheaper. PA...well... I'm sure it's playable but I'm not into buying alphas anymore. My assumption is the Isaac remake is 'complete' sans any future DLC.

Just started Fallout 3,first house i visited had a junkie named silver and the school was overrun by looting lunatics....  10/10

I know, no funny money usage, but it's $10.20 on GamersGate right now and if you have a 20% off code, even better. And for those that already own SRIV, I didn't even realize, but there's a GotC Upgrade Pack for $3.40.
Oh, there's a GOTC Upgrade pack - good to know.

Though, if this was at 75% off before any coupon-using, maybe I'd give the Upgrade Pack a purchase.

EDIT:

Is it me - or is there no GOTC Upgrade Pack even listened on Steam?

EDIT 2:

Yeah.. but sometimes they don't hit their lowest price point again for quite a while. Remember the chronicles of MysterD and The Secret World? O:)
Wait - did TSW (base-game) hit $5.xx again or something? ;)

The Evil Within is quite possibly the most frustrating game I've ever played. Its strange as shit and very gory and very weird which is fine, but man there are some derp moments.

Combat is weird as bowls and they force you to fight way too much. I really wanted to enjoy that game, but couldn't. I was disappointed by the amount of times that you must fight to advance. I was expecting more stealth or fight style gameplay, especially after hearing how this was supposed to be more survival horror than newer Resident Evil games. Sadly you must kill more enemies in the first half of TEW than all of Resident Evil 5 :(

Yep and typical of these type of games the controls are really wonky. Its a disappointment. I do like the patch that has made it full screen and the FPS lock is no longer there, but it just has some really headscratching design decisions.

Ghost Recon Phantoms is having another weekend where they give away some free DLC each day to their free FPS.  The first offering was yesterday but you can install all three of them directly from Steam if you missed it.  You'll have to copy and paste the URLs.

steam://install/317460/ - WAR Madness pack (Assault)

steam://install/317461/ - WAR Madness pack (Recon)

steam://install/317462/ - WAR Madness pack (Support)

Links taken from this here Reddit thread.

Basically, go here and click "Play For Free" to get the game licensed to your account. Open Steam and click on the links. They fail to install, but they will be registered to your account. Will probably have to use the reddit links.

Also:

steam://install/317463/ - Substance with Style pack (Assault) - Store Page

steam://install/317464/ - Substance with Style pack (Recon) - Store Page

steam://install/317465/ - Substance with Style pack (Support) - Store Page

steam://install/315919/ - Looks and Power (Support) - Store Page

steam://install/315918/ - Looks and Power (Recon) - Store Page

steam://install/315917/ - Looks and Power (Assault) - Store Page

EDIT: And I'm currently downloading Killing Floor - Toy Master. Looks like a decent mod, especially for free. Can't have enough KF.

This is probably a bad place to ask, but I figured what the hell. I'm going to be buying a NAS for home storage and wondering if anybody has any experience with brands to recommend. I've only dealt with servers and enterprise servers, so I don't really have any first hand experience with NAS.

I also don't mean that small 2-bay shit. It will be 4-bay or possibly 8-bay so I can expand later on. It's pretty costly, so I'm just opening up options while I research.

I've been running a Thecus N7700 for about 4 years, 24/7. The biggest issue I've had has been with some wonky firmware bugs in the past, but they have all since been taken care of with updates. I don't do anything fancy with it, all it does is store my media for my MB3 server. Hardware-wise it has been flawless, though I have updated the CPU and doubled the RAM capacity. Other than a lot of trial and error as to HDD compatibility (I hate WD drives...all of them), I recommend the device and the brand, though my sample size is small.

do you have your heart set on a big nas? why not build a server?

Physical space right now. When I buy a server for my house, it will be rackmount and sitting in a nice rack with a switch and firewall. However I'll need to move first, which is a ways off still. Though I do have two old'ish servers sitting somewhere around here. They're just not really storage type servers and I'd have to buy SAS drives.

Only features I want need is built in RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. Other features are fluff that will likely never be used.

I'm leaning towards QNAP currently. Need to make a decision somewhat fast as I have some failing drives I need to move data around and I'm lacking storage capacity to do that right now.

gotcha. sounds way nicer than my old dell dimension sitting in the closet running whs :)

I actually like WD Black drives for internal. NAS on the other hand, I was shying away from WD but then I came across this:

http://www.amazon.com/HGST-Deskstar-3-5-Inch-Internal-0S03664/dp/B00HHAJRU0/ref=pd_sim_pc_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=13GY35PFKNGD3KDHHB80

So it's rather tempting seeing as I don't see very many highly reviewed 4TB drives. And no, I didn't come across this on Amazon (Since their reviews are a congregate of every size version). Just linking it because it's likely where I'd buy it from so that's the only link I have right now.

I'm a fan of Hitachi drives. Have had zero issues with them; desktop or server. (Whereas I've had 7 WD Blacks RMA'd in the past 3 years with 3 more to RMA when I'm not being lazy; none DOA, they just start developing bad sectors. All have very little use as far as HDD's go.) HGST has since been bought by WD and HDDs are being manufactured by Toshiba, so that's kinda weird (I've got a few Toshiba's that are essentially HGST tech). Fwiw, I've had great success with WD Enterprise drive, it's just the cost of the higher capacity units is getting out of my reach.
