On GG's page, I don't see Steam listed for any of the FC3 stuff (FC3 regular or deluxe; FC3: Blood Dragon, etc).

I see UPlay listed as either for Activation or for the actual DRM.

No problem, bro.

I don't think I've ever seen GG - or many others, for that matter - carry an UbiSoft game that is a Steam-version where that Steam-version requires both Steam + UPlay.

I think only Tony at Amazon DVG had that kind of pull. ;)

I don't want to be forced to run both Steam + UPlay together in the Steam-version.

Granted, it would be cool GG did sell both UPlay-version and Steam-version - letting the gamer pick which one to buy.

Steam version of Assasin Creed doesn't have any Steam features but updating the game is a bit more streamline and faster than Uplay only version.

wasn't there a very recent Uplay patch that streamline the log in via Steam, i.e. you do'nt have to log in twice like MysterD mentioned?

I'm not sure any of those games have Tages.

Threads on a few forums say that DRM was completely removed from later patches of SH3 and SH4. SH5 needs uplay but had the always-online aspect removed over two years ago. I'm not sure if the activation also requires Tages or not--threads only talk about the always-on part being removed.
