If the first game is of any indication, it'll probably come with a bajillion pay2win DLCs. Which is a shame, since the core gameplay is pretty fun (at least for a TD fan like me).
https://www.dungeondefenders.com/2/topic/114494/faq-thread

Q: Will the game really be free-to-play? Will it be P2W (pay to win)?
A: On official release, the game will be free-to-play; however, Trendy will never sell gameplay advantage for real money. All the shop will offer are cosmetic items and such that do not offer a way to pay for advantage.

Gameplay is good, but it's very poorly balanced for single-player. Only non-xenophobes need apply.

so any other people(idiots) like me gonna get Dungeon Defenders 2? http://store.steampowered.com/app/236110/ to clarify, this is an Early Access game that will be F2P once it officially releases, but you can pay to play it now. nobody? heh, can't say i blame you :)
If they didn't treat their fans like idiots then I probably would have paid for it. Loved the first game, but it was filled with modders and lack of dev support. I see pay to win being added in the future. It always starts with "Just cosmetics"

Right, because people (especially game developers) never lie and they never break promises.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have access to an Xbox One console to test. My cousin owns one, but I'm deathly allergic to his pets. Just wanted to correct him since he said it wasn't possible on the PS4.

I believe this works though:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SP0WAQ/ref=cm_cd_asin_lnk
+
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Stereo-Headset-Adapter/dp/B00IAVDOS6/ref=cm_cd_f_pb_t

Should give you sound input and output. Not sure if the second link comes with the console or not.

I believe the differences between his and yours are that his has two 3.5mm plugs for sound input and output whereas yours is using a singular 3.5mm plug for both that is more readily compatible with consoles.
Problem is, would that setup give me vocal audio and mic usage, or would it also give me audio from the game/TV? I use a noise cancelling over the ear headset, so if plugging into the controller only gives me players voices as audio... I'm kinda screwed.

Try looking at this page (And the F.A.Q. below). It should answer your questions regarding that:

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/stereo-headset-set-up-troubleshoot#e698276797a5453bb52618fd6d2bdba7

That kind of question is better suited for the Xbox forums I believe. They'd be able to give you a more concrete answer as I'm sure someone there likely has all audio through their headset.

EDIT: Also see bullet points on the adapter page:

GAME OF THE GENERATION IS GETTING A SEQUEL
I wonder if the developers know that a huge chunk of the original game's sales came from joke gifts? Are they cornering the 'naughty santa' market? Are they in on the joke? Or do they just think "wow that Bad Rats game really took off. We should totally make a sequel"?

Making something shockingly bad, ignoring the vomiting masses only to make a follow-up...

Well, if your game is going to suck I suppose "sucks so bad people buy it ironically" is still better than "Sucks in a mediocre fashion and lingers forgotten at the bottom of Steam sales figures chart."

Yes.

I'd like to think that they occasionally visit CAG, not enough to get the gist of how things really are, and see people every now and then lauding Bad Rats in YCS, and think, "Wow, these guys love it so much that not only do they post about it in the thread, but they highlight it in a special font, too!"

But even worse yet - Dragon Age: Inquisition is still NOT on sale at some percentage on Origin.

Bleh.
Too soon. Don't expect a sale on it until the Spring Sale.

Origin and Ubi have begun their holiday sales and Nuuvem is having a {get ready for it} RPG Maker sale. (I kinda want that Mango Maker schtuff.)
Weird sales.

UBISOFT, why is Silent Hunter 5 cheaper than Silent Hunter 4? EA, why are your sale prices so terrible?

(Somebody make this into a haiku for me.)

Sales are often dumb

Silent hunter priced; inversed

EA, fuck yourself

Meh, too early to really judge imo, going in I didn't expect 4 campaign DLCs like with BL2. And in all honesty, I get more mileage out of extra characters, so I was happy to see them included in the SP this time around.

Or maybe I'm just trying to justify fakeybro'ing the whole shebang.

What I'm most excited for is PT3 and reset capability as I had already reached endgame with all my characters. Now they just need to fix the farmable bosses and loot pools and we'll be aces. (God, I hate Pickle.)
@ least you're getting your Money's worth out of it. :whistle2:D

I would prefer pay to win over grind to win. I am getting old and my game time is very limited, unlike my younger days

Yeah, well the Xbox adapter does say "Any 3.5mm stereo headset (that uses the CTIA plug standard) can get stereo game audio by plugging into the adapter", so I guess it should work. Just annoying having to dish out $30 for a fucking adapter...

Speaking of...

Has anyone else been getting really sketchy customer service from Amazon recently?
Yeah, they haven't even bothered to read what I write, but they're still happy enough to refund and give credits, so its OK. I assume its because of the holiday rush, but also because I think Amazon is trying to be more profitable now and they're probably skimping on customer service.

I have noticed that my "free two day shipping" that comes with Amazon Prime has seemed be stretched out to "free 2-4 day shipping" recently (I placed an order Wednesday night, and the two items I ordered are coming Saturday and Monday...I ordered a few more things in the past few weeks with similar results). I assume it's because of the holidays, but whatever.

As an FYI, you can email amazon customer service and let them know you didn't get it in two day, each separate instance of you going thru this process will result in 1 month extension to your Amazon prime sub. You can do this up to 12 times (a year? Forever? Can't remember)

Amazon is the worst. God forbid you aren't prime, because then they'll just sit on your order for four days before shipping out via the slowest method possible. Fortunately I'm not impatient enough to buy a membership to get the couple of items I order per year a few days quicker.

This happened to me. I signed up for the free 30-day trial and the first item I ordered that was Prime eligible is now showing it won't be here for five days.

Way to make me want to keep Prime and actually pay for it, Amazon!

Well, if you are a "cable cutter" like me, it's worth it because you get an instant library that rivals that of Netflix to come along with it, along with access to their kindle library. Assuming you make use of those things it's an absolute steal. The free two day shipping is icing on the cake, although the shipping is typically worth it for me because I do the majority of my shopping (clothes, gifts, entertainment, etc) through Amazon.

I think it really just depends on which warehouse your order ends up coming from. Last week I ordered a new HT speaker set (been eyeing those babys for a while) and the sub and rear speakers were packaged up 4hrs after I placed the order and shipped the next morning. The fronts and center speaker just shipped yesterday, 5 days after placing the order. The first set all came from the same warehouse in AZ, the second set is split between WA and CA

I know, right? Where the fuck are my predator delivery drones, Amazon?

Pfft. When I kept having issues with my Prime deliveries coming late a few summers ago, I had to e-mail them three or four times and all I got out of it was $5 credit.

I'm more exited about Day of the Tentacle. That one and Sam and Max hit the road will be a must buy for me, I played those countless times
