Anyone for some reason not have Bloodrayne 2 or Dracula 4 on GOG and want a gift code for them? I'd like to get them out of my spreadsheet.

Edit: Dracula Gone.
I would take Bloodrayne 2 if no one else is interested :)

Edit: Thanks again!

More details on the Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered re-release. Thankfully, Amazon has the price wrong.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered will be PC, Mac, and Linux-compatible and cost $9.99. Here’s the full list of game features:

  • Interactive Drama - An intuitive control scheme and spectacular split-screen presentation complement the game’s mysterious noir narrative.
  • Extensive Replayability - With branching dialog and multiple endings, each playthrough of the game yields a different outcome.
  • Multiple Characters - Take control of the narrative through four different playable characters, each illuminating a different perspective of the story.
  • Cinematic Score - Fahrenheit features a fully orchestrated [check] score composed by Angelo Badalamenti, famous for his extensive work with director David Lynch.
  • Uncut version of the game - Unlike the original North American release, Remastered contains all of the game’s original scenes, uncensored and uncut.

Off-topic question... I used OSX for about 5 years straight, so I get used to iTunes. I'm using it on my actual windows desktop... but through the years the it became more and more awful (IMHO). I'm hating it now. I want to hear opinions about other Music players with a good organizer included. I'm trying Jaangle... but I'm not liking it. I'm searching something like the iTunes 9 or 10.

I hate iTunes, regardless of version or OS. I haven't found anything that will help after you have over 1000 songs let alone over 10000, so I don't use a player/organizer combo per se. I play everything through JetAudio (which does organize, but I don't use it) because it was the first pay (upgraded) player I ever got over a decade ago and I'm too lazy to want to use anything else.

I use Media Monkey for organization, and just a generic folder structure for songs.

\mp3\\\ - - -

basically, but I've been doing that for 15+ years.

I'm actually at 155Gb of music on my HDD (and a ton more on DVDs). I used Winamp through the years (also Amarok on my linux machine)... until I bought my first Mac and got used to iTunes. That's why I'm searching for something closer to it, so I can still feel familiar with it

I read a lot of people recommend it. Will try it

Speaking of remastered editions, did not see this one coming, http://store.steampowered.com/app/244160/

people been asking for years
Yeah, I figured once Gearbox got the Homeworld IP something like this would be coming. It's just taken a while, I guess.

Of note is the fact that it's their first self-published title. I may hate Randy Pitchford but they've come a long way from just doing port work.

I rip my music with Exact Audio Copy and save stuff like this:

Artist\[Year] Album\Track# - Title
Various Artists stuff is like this:

Various Artists\[Year] Album\Track# - Title [Artist]
I use Foobar2000 to play music. It works, but I can never get it to look right.

But what about the "uncut" content?

MusicBee

I think it's the best music player since golden years of winamp. It is way more faster in managing large libraries than any other player I checked (~90GB here). In addition it's fully customisable, has got built in last.fm scrobbler, decent tag editor, lyrics finder, etc. and it's free!

Except it's on Steam. That's worth the Remastered tag alone.
I think it's great it's coming to Steam + is Uncut and re-rated w/ M rating (since we know Steam don't sell AO games).

Uncut version should've probably been M, in the first place.

I don't know if just putting it on Steam is worth a Remastered tag, though.

IMHO - we'd need new stuff like better engine, textures, resolution, sound quality to make it worth that Remastered tag.

If it has any of that stuff (especially better textures + resolution support) - then great; it deserves that Remastered tag.

If it has Steam Achievements + Steam Cloud, and other Steam-related support - that'd be sweet.

They could've called it Steam Edition, like Tropico 3 did - if all they did was basically put it on Steam + give it Steamworks features.

My Firefox keeps crashing randomly on Steam. Is there like an Enhanced Steam issue or something?
Yes, I would just remove enhanced steam for now. Wait until it is fixed. I use enhanced steam in Chrome when I need to.

Yes, there is a bug with the current version of FF that causes issues with ES. I have an older version of FF so I haven't run into these crashes, but jshackles created an updated version (7.2.3) for FF users to download.

http://firefox.enhancedsteam.com/
It doesn't fix the issue unfortunately.

Been using MediaMonkey myself. Started getting frustrated with the bloat in WinAmp and was never totally happy with QMP. On Android I just stick with Google Play Music.

I just started using this as well and am liking it. Very easy to use and looks nice too. Some people like Foobar2000. I used it for a little bit but couldn't get the hang of it.

Can all that extra stuff on MusicBee be disabled? I don't scrobble, don't need lyrics, and don't really organize much stuff. I just want a player. :p

Sure. You can manually adjust the main window of the player or select "compact player" from view options, which should do the job.

I started using Music Bee recently too and I like it.  Haven't gotten real in depth with it.  Have yet to find a music player/organizer I love though.  Hate iTunes, WMP, etc.  Winamp was okay but far from my favorite.

Also:

Apparently Humble is trying to eat into Steam's EA business (wasn't Humble the original EA anyways?):

Survival... on an island!

I guess since everyone is doing openworld the new trend is to do survival on a specific/limited basis.

I'm eagerly waiting for Caved and Housed and Yarded!

Survival in Bathroomed is more interesting to me. especially after the questionable burrito I just had.

What's the difference between that and this... (that's already in early access)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/313120/

I don't get it...

Too many people want their slice of the pie but no one is considering that the pie is only so big. Steam is gunna turn into the iTunes store soon enough... too much garbage not enough quality.

Well, for one, Stranded Deep looks a lot better. For two, they obviously have different names!

I definitely agree though, at least make something different! And let's face it, these survival in the wilderness games are all knockoffs of Rust which is a knockoff of Minecraft. Even Minecraft already has this taken care of as you can play in casual mode with no baddies. And Rust was just like "hey let's make a DayZ with no zombies."

Gaming trends come and go.  Remember how we were all bitching about the market being flooded with new MOBAs and Voxel shooters?  We're already at the point where new survival games are being met with eyerolls and mehs.  In a couple months we'll be complaining about the hundreds of new CCGs and Dating Sims coming out of the woodwork.  Well, we'll be posting pictures of the Dating Sims, not complaining...

As for Steam's lack of quality control:  I want every stupid game to get a Steam release, because I like reading posts by people who bought stupid games.

Basically:

"Oh some french company is putting out a game in N.A. with sex?! AO AO AO!!!!!!!"

*years later*

"Oh it's Quantic Dream, know for shit now, why we (ESRB) were wrong and the game is just an M, how silly of the ESRB to think differently before!"

(That or QD paid them enough, probably the later)

And yes, I have very very low levels of trust in the ESRB, more I hear about them the lower my trust in them gets.

Or just not get ESRB rating? Steam allows selling non-ESRB rated content. Though luck if you try to get rated and get slapped with AO.
