I probably would have abandoned it already for a more enticing title in the backlog but I'm trying a new tactic of actually attempting to finish games for a change.
Life's too short for that. I don't own umpteen hundred games just so I can force myself to play the shitty ones.

Too much talk about video games you bastards, needs more off-topic! *ahem* anyone going to Chipotle for the "order tofo, get real meat for free next visit," promotion today?

...snip
Yes. Yes I am. Unless the stuff sucks. Does it suck? I suppose if it does I could order sofritas without the sofritas. Beans, rice and lots of cheese.

Yay! There's a new Flying Bundle, and it's full of repeats. Huzzah.

Circuits

Crow

Evil Quest

Guns n Zombies

Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade

Obludia

Vanguard Princess

and a Mystery Game

for $2.50

So far seems fine, got a burrito with all the stuffs (except the overpriced guac, real meat, and lettuce) and can't really tell where the hell the sofritas are in it, other then a smoky taste now and then.

I just started playing with that mod as well and it's been running fine for the couple hours I got through so far. I've been sitting on this in the backlog for a long time (got the still unplayed 360 version when circuit city was dying) and am glad to finally get to it. It's a blast to just do all the crazy side missions.
What FPS are you getting because I am 60 FPS while driving and when I am out it dips and varies alot

That is the way of the Tofu. Blend into it's surroundings so you don't even know it's there.

Flavor absorbing sponge with a side of protein.

I totally agree, but after surfing my backlog the past couple months I've contracted a bad case of game ADD where I've played like 20 minutes of games I'm mildly interested in and the only ones I've stuck to are the super-addictive ones I don't necessarily enjoy the most. This one seems to reward skill rather than just mindlessly pushing the carrot further forward, and aside from the sometimes frustrating difficulty it is the best Metroidvania I've played in a long while (as opposed to the rather forgettable Guacamelee), so I'm trying to give it a fair shot.

I want crow.

Someone should, like, just give me a key or something.

In return, I can offer my gratitude, which will likely last for around 5 minutes, or at least until my next bundle fix. Whichever comes first.
I have some extra crow I could send your way...

I actually have about five things I still have sitting on my hard drive because I'm mostly but not entirely sold on them being terrible games. I feel this weird obligation to either a) try them a little bit longer or b) at least do a brief write-up on my weblog about why I'm not going to do that. And most of them are really popular indie titles that I just don't seem to like.

I just noticed - those STALKER games are now all Steamworks there.

They weren't, in the past.

STALKER Clear Sky was once DRM-FREE on Gamersgate (which I do have from there + kept those files), now it's got a Steam-key with it. Just checked my GG account.

Just so you know TAGES. Edit: Is apparently not a problem. It does try to install files to your PC though so go through the installation and delete the tages client exe before starting it for the first time.

I thought it was either SOC or COP using crummy DRM?

Unless they patched Tages out of CS later.

My copy of Clear Sky from GG is DRM-FREE. Never had to do activation or any of that nonsense...thank God.

Anyways - woot for putting this also onto Steam.

EDIT:

The TAGES files are there, but they're not used, so they only take up space. Nothing more.
Nice @ the Tages files going inert on Steam-version.

So I just booted up Saints Row 2 and installed the Gentlemen Mod, but damn it still runs bad, this is one of the worst ports I have played on pc
You may need another mod/tweak of some sort if your CPU isn't running at exactly 3.2 Ghz. It slows down at speeds both higher and lower than that. There is a tweak for that.

So, while I'm playing DA:I, I'm remodding my Skyrim install, which is no trivial task. I thought I'd go with less mods this time, but it looks like I'll be close to 100 again. And now I just read (I'm slow, OK) that Lady Hammerlock drops for BtPS tomorrow. Playing games is just so complicated.

I like to think back on the times when people thought yearly sequel releases were milking a series bone dry.

At this rate they will be milking the dust mites living in a pile of ash that was once a fertile cow.

I think the Five Nights at Freddy's guys know what they're doing. These are episodic games that rely on Youtube and word of mouth among kids to sell. They have to keep releasing games every few months to stay relevant.

Im still mad the canned Six Nights at Suzie's

Beating the blood out of hookers never looked so fun

Hmm let me check im running an i7 4770k thanks
I played SR2 on my last build, an AMD Phenom II X4 and I overclocked to exactly 3.2 when I was playing it. That said, the problem is the game runs at 1.5x speed. It also isn't a problem with Win 8, only 7 and Vista.

If things are just running poorly in general, I'd say it is an issue of just being a lazy port.

No, this cat is definitely milking this series for more than it's undoubtedly worth. OTOH, I guess it's all "capitalism, ho!" as long as he can get people to buy sequels to games they currently have backlogged. I basically think he's just churning these out to sell to game-hoarders. Not that anyone here would know anything about that.

Legend of Grimrock, FTL, Dungeons of Dredmor

Legend of Grimrock, FTL, Dungeons of Dredmor
FTL is one of my favorites, especially after the expansion. I've got...holy shit, 120 hours in it. I might still go back to it someday, too. I liked Grimrock a lot, although I can't really play a lot of it at once and have to use walkthroughs so as not to miss any cool secrets. I played a couple levels and hope to go back to it at some point. Dredmor I could never get past the ugly-ass graphics.

No doubt. Smart businessmen but the 'games' are still trash.

Frankly, at this point, I'm strongly leaning toward "rogue-likes are not for me." It seems futile to spend time building up a ship in FTL to have a random event kill you, ditto on Dredmor (even though I like the humor in that one), and Grimrock is just difficult to the point of being tedious. I remember things like the original Eye of the Beholder series with a kind of fondness, but what I don't remember about them (unlike, say, the Gold Box SSI games) is actually finishing any of them. I have a feeling rose-tinted glasses made Grimrock out (for me at least) to be something it really isn't.

If you got Biology Battle from the Groupees Build a Meridian4 Mega Bundle, you might want to contact [email protected] for a steam key. The dev has posted that he had had no idea M4 was publishing it on Steam, and the version up on Steam is old. Possible chance of being delisted?

What did you use for proof of purchase? I normally send in Desura keys or whatnot, but since it's DRM-Free....
