:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Kingdom of Amalur for 4 bucks is all I'm getting. Had it with PS+, but I let it lapse and that was the only game I actually would have wanted to keep.

Installed the PS4 stuff from the sale & Rollers ot Realm is showing up with the Strike Suit icon. All runs fine but it's visually annoying. Anybody else had problems with dup or wrong icons? Is there a fix or just try delete/reinstall?
you have to rebuild the ps4 database, had this problem before.

and reading last year's it even starts out saying "each year...".

Guess the 10% coupon was too damaging financially for then this year. lol.
They also had a large Anniversary sale in January and we just finished a 60%-80% off flash sale.

Not sure what else you want...

The Flash Sale had 17 games from 2014 on sale this past weekend, which is too many to be a substitute for a 15 for '15 sale. The math just doesn't add up.

I scored with the recent flash sale and am downloading Grim Fandango to my Vita as I type this. I'm all set until Rogue Legacy goes on sale.

Citizens of earth any good? It's only 12 bucks but still would like to know what some people from CAG think before I go ahead and grab it.

I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Took me 25hrs to 100% the game (All Trophys)
However, the game is entirely glitchy, crashes offten and easily broken or exploited.

If you like EarthBound you will love this

Thanks for the quick response. Love Earthbound! Glitches are what I was worried about after hearing about the rough launch. I'll definitely at least go for the 100% if it's anything like earthbound.

Now was this PS4,PS3 With the issues or both do you know?

It's not on PS3, but I had crashing issues with the PS4 version. Just save often and the crash issues won't be a huge deal.

Not sure its supposed to be, but Dying Light Be the Zombie mode is free on Playstation store (on the ps4).

Apparently it was printed in first print copies of the game, but it seems like they just giving away this game for free lol. (with the GS exploit earlier).

Anybody plan on picking it up later might wanna go grab it now, incase they charge for it later on.

It's actually not supposed to be out yet.

It's also an awful awful game.
It's super simplistic, sure, but it's really good at what it tries to be. Not totally my type of game, so I agree with you in not particularly liking it, but I wouldn't call it 'awful awful' any more than other great simplistic games like Super Meat Boy or whatever.

Is NFS Rivals a big jump from the last gen versions?

Deciding if its worth the $15 or if i just borrow the game from a friend.
It's worth the $15. It was also worth the $12 I just paid for the damn normal version... sales rarely, if ever, piss me off but this one was just plain rude. At least put the damn DLC on sale for $1-3 to make people happy that just friggin' bought the normal version.

Damn you, EA.

----

Good price on Peggle 2, I guess. I can't even remember the price it was last time I decided to skip on it.

I should go check to see if this sale is actually better or if I'm just forgetful.

EDIT - Looks like it was 4.80 around christmas. Now 3.99. Somehow that extra 81 cents off makes it far more appealing. Dammit.

I know if i buy it, it's ps+ in two months... and if I don't buy it, it'll never be on sale again.

DAMN YOU, EA.

No way is it even comparable to something like Super Meat Boy. Even a silly little game like Don't Die Mr Robot does "simplistic" so much better than Woah Dave by including a campaign mode that slightly changes the base gameplay around from level to level and includes a slow-mo mode and a time attack mode. Woah Dave is so basic and blah, after 5 or so runs you've basically done everything the game has for you.

One of the worst PS+ games I ever remember getting.

Need For Speed: Rivals Complete Edition: $14.99.

Just after I bought the base game for $12. :(

You aren't alone, we all got burnt. Perhaps DLC will be on sale, but who am I kidding.

Same thing happened to me, I feel cheated! :wall:
And after everyone buys the complete edition at $15, they are gonna run another sale in a month for $8 or even free on PS+. It's a vicious cycle. I skipped the last $12 sale and will probably skip this $15 sale too because it's EA and Need for Speed. They almost always end up being in EA's $5 sale. Besides, this is an over a year old game so a $5 sale, or at least an $8 sale isn't so out of reach.

I am sad to agree completely with you. I was looking forward to Woah Dave, but after playing a few rounds, it really fell flat. Seemed like a waste of time game. And I also bought Don't Die Mr. Robot and really liked it, much better game.

Oh, don't either of you get me wrong -- I don't particularly like the game. I just save 'awful awful' for broken games. It's at least good for what it is. However, it's on the level of psp mini and really shouldn't have been a ps+ game. Some do seem to really enjoy it, though. I don't.

Nope. And are people still playing the ps3 version?
I'm wondering this, too. Are the ps3 Garden Warfare servers still fairly active, or has it died out? I've been waiting on this one for a while and might bite at $10 (since I don't have a ps4), but don't want to buy an online-only game to end up sitting in matchmaking for an hour and giving up.

Did a test pricing on Dragon Age II with all the DLC: Nearly $30 total. The only DLC that matters in it is Legacy and Mark of the Assassin (already have Black Emporium and Exiled Prince)...so works out to $14 for me (way better than spending $10 on the physical disc). But I dunno...still feels too expensive.

Bah, just bought NFL Blitz two days ago cause my bro wanted it really bad and I had that 10% off. I knew it would go on sale Super Bowl week. Oh well, can't win them all ~.~

It was $2 brand new last year at ToysRUs when I bought the disc.

I didn't mention Matador by name because it's such an inventive character/boss design I didn't want to spoil it in any way, but yes, that's who I meant. Matador is difficult, but far from impossible. He's mostly difficult because he insists you play the game 'right' to beat him... if you don't exploit the press turn system and elemental strengths/weaknesses, you will not pass. Not even grinding 10 levels will help you.

In my opinion, he's absolutely fantastic. He's placed fairly early as sort of a 'gate' to the rest of the game. If you've been pushing through everything by brute force, he's there to say 'no, it's time to learn how to play the game now'. Brilliant.
I don't think the name is much of a spoiler, and since most people would now be playing P3/4 before Nocturne, where he's a Persona you can summon, it wouldn't have the same impact anyway. But yeah, it pretty much acted as a trial by fire, and it was great.

I would also say it has a Suikoden vibe, with all the recruitable characters. Thanks to Suikoden II's recent (and long-overdue) PSN launch it's pretty good timing.

I really don't like the battle UI in it, though. I often find it hard to tell exactly what's going on.
