Some guy on Twitter is telling me that once you buy the power ups (in-game currency, not real) in Don't Die you have them for good, which is fine, but that locks you out of Arcade Pure from then on. Is this true? If so that is bizarre.

Pharm, pharm, pharm....

Well when the state is shaped like that, it's almost false advertising if they didn't!

I just don't know how Red Box has any game rental business. I understand the instant gratification piece, but compared to Gamefly prices, it is a joke. I used it once to rent Walking Dead because I knew I could finish it in a day and had a free coupon.
When it was $2 a game I did that with The Walking Dead and Saints Row the 4th and a few other games that were 8-10 hours to beat. But none around here offer PS4 games. I got rid of my XBox360 and for a while didn't have a PS3 either. So I haven't rented any games from Redbox in probably well over a year. I think maybe the last one was Beyond 2 Souls. Might be almost as long since I rented a movie as well. We used to rent them pretty frequently many of them for free. But it got to be a hassle to make a second trip to return them. We had another Redbox type box near one of my other apartments. I could walk to it so it was easy to grab a movie while at the grocery store and return it the next day.

I couldn't get that to work when I tried it, but I know what you are talking about. It was in the trophy guide.
I read that too. Seemed to me like it was more trouble then it was worth. I was about halfway and just connected to a few extra wifi networks to get more chances per week. You only have to connect once and update near I believe and then you are part of Near location even if you don't connect back later.

I started up Mordor last night, seems like the gameplay will be fun. I could give 2 shits about the source material though. I don't know happened...I liked the first LOTR trilogy of movies but it was like right after that I got my fill and was done.
I think this will be my next game too. Just finished up FC4 and can't see playing Tomb Raider right after that. Plus I beat Tomb Raider on my XBox360 anyway.

It is one of the games Sony is offering for free if you had a PSN account back when they were hacked for a week a few years ago. Someone posted a link on how to claim the game. I don't think you can download it yet though.
His first trophy was 2 years ago, so I don't think he would be able to get in on that.

I just found out why the beer buyer at the best beer bar in Atlanta was leaving his job, and instead of it making me sad has made me very happy.

He is opening a place that is a high end beer bar/comic store/arcade.  Pretty cool name too: My Parent's Basement.  I did not really need anymore reasons to want to hang out in Decatur.  It is getting difficult to choose where to go when I manage to get down there now.

Hey fellas, I got a big gaming night tomorrow.  Does any 3 people want to try for the co op trophies in dying light?  They are almost all 0% achieved?  big one is complete 5 straight quests with the same 3 people?  Anyone in?

That is weird. I was wondering what Arcade Pure even meant.

I guess when you're done with everything else in the game you can just reset your progress so you can do Pure leaderboards again if you want, though that isn't ideal.

I want to do the Most Wanted Vita MP stuff today/tonight too if anyone is interested.

If I got Dying Light I would help you too Keeper.
I would be down for helping, but I have to do the pre-req stuff first. I was going to try to do that tonight (assuming it is possible to do in one night).

Anyone have a link to that post of wren's about what we needed to do?

Gator, its fast and easy to do.Just look at the guide on PS3T.  I took my info from that.  The only thing I added was to use the muscle cars as they dont need as much mileage.

I'll take a look, but how quick? You think it is possible for me to get it done in a couple hours so I could help with the boosting stuff afterwards tonight?

I might be up for it, though it may depend on how much progress I can make today--I had to stop in the middle of the Prologue yesterday because the full install hadn't yet finished and for some reason I couldn't progress until it was done.

I dont think the gameplay itself was completely awful, but when you have a cutscene that has a character standing in a fucking bookcase, I quit playing your game. Its a cutscene damnit. That part of your game should be flawless.

I'm not far either... just wanting to get those co-op out of the way now to enjoy the rest of the game.

Yeah you have to wait a bit for that install in game.

You also have to finish prologue before you can do co-op. I'd be down to do it with you guys too. I'm not too far in but I got some sweet weapons that almost one shot the walkers.

Well then I need to finish the prologue.... lol

But if you and vig are possibly in, then we only need one more for Co-op

Get a muscle car, drive around in a private lobby. Drive long enough to unlock track tires and reinflate tires, drift 5000 yards with track tires equipped. Then do the rest during the boosting session. It's like 25 miles I think so you should be able to do that in 25-30 minutes. If you don't have a muscle car do an exotic or everyday, that will take you 50 miles.
