Does the double jump on Rogue Legacy on Vita kind of suck? I don't recall it ever being a pain on PS4, but I've fucked up lots of jumps on Vita.
I was actually about to ask those of you that beat the game what system you did it on. Played on the vita all night and didn't have much problems but I'm having trouble making jumps on the first remix boss.

*whew* Probably the best $3 I've spent in a long time:

So nobody checked out Apotheon yet? I posted my initial "it's okay" feedback yesterday but am surprised nobody else mentioned it. People are too busy with Rogue Legacy, I suppose (though shame on all of you for not buying it awhile ago, it's awesome).
I don't think you can really shame us if we all knew it was coming to PS+ sooner than later and waited.

I'm gonna stream Echochrome on PS3 for a little while. See how this goes.

I hope you had this playing as commentary the whole time:

Beat the first 4 bosses and Pink Eye. Only took a few tries to beat Neo Khadr or whatever his name is because he didn't do the spiral attack at all on one run so I could stay at the bottom and just DPS the fuck out of him. Gonna try and beat the final boss for this playthrough but I should be sleeping.

Nevermind. He was easy.

Why do I stay and fight in a room where the enemies are twice the size of any enemy I have faced in the game.  Damn this Rogue Legacy and it's addictive death.

I love that on a work day, I struggle to get up in the morning and pull myself out of bed. But on a vacation day, I'm up two hours earlier than normal, no problem.

Happily it actually has gameplay footage. Probably a minute or so of the trailer is that. Looks pretty damn awesome.

Seriously.  There is so much wrong with Amy.

- The controls: Why do they have to be so chaotic?  I spent 20 minutes this morning trying to relearn them.  Let's see what I remember.

-- Cross: interact

-- Pyramid: Make Amy interact

-- Box: I don't remember

-- Circle: I don't remember

-- L1 (hold): Walk fast

-- L1+Cross (hold): Run?

-- L2+Box: Attack

-- L2+Hoop: Dodge

-- L3: Crouch toggle I think

-- R1 (tap): Call Amy

-- R1 (hold): Hold Amy's hand

-- R1+Hoop: Tell Amy to wait

-- R2+Left stick (hold): Choose psychic power (not sure how to activate it though, it always took me a few tries. I guess you have to release one of the two first?)

-- Left on digital pad: Amy's fucked up flashlight

-- Down on digital pad + X: Use a syringe

-- Up and right do something too, don't remember what

- The story: Yeah, of course that's a little dumb.  No big deal.

- The nausea: Seriously, I think there's two other games I can think of that have made me feel genuinely sick (Mirror's Edge and the plane in RE6).  Amy has this loose ass camera that goes everywhere (and you have to move it all the time because it's so janky).  Add on to that Amy's 'flashlight' which is essentially a seizure inducing strobe light and ... yeah.  This is game number three on the sick list.

- The gameplay: Key cards?  Check.  One hit kills?  Check.  Crappy AI?  Check.  Hilariously bad combat?  Check.  No map?  Check.  Everything looks the same?  Check.  Timed death if you take too long to do something?  Check.  I could probably keep going, just read a review.

- The reality: Yeah, I know it's a game.  I'm not a moron.  But why pick and choose what you try to be realistic with?  Example: Amy has to 'hack' computer terminals to open some doors.  Ok, fine.  But they decided to make that terminal hacking (i.e. standing there watching her stare at a yellow computer screen) last for 2+ minutes.  Why???  Because that's how long it might take a psychic genius child to hack a door security computer?  THEN, one of the methods of luring enemies is to make pay phones ring.  1.) How the fuck do you make a pay phone ring and 2.) you just click a button for that, you can do it while running by the phone.

- The bugs: This is what got me today.  As I was playing through the chapter it occurred to me I hadn't gotten any trophies today.  I look it up and sure enough, all of the game's trophies are kind of randomly broken after the 1.02 patch.  Unfortunately, that's the patch that also allowed you to start a saved game from a checkpoint instead of the beginning of a chapter.  So I have to pick between getting the trophies in the game or having to beat each chapter front to back in one sitting.

You might be wondering why I'm playing this steaming pile.  Well I'm not totally sure right at this moment.  But I'm going to.

Jesus Christ. Therm started early today. Let me drink my coffee first, asshole.

Sony should offer current  show 14 viter owners an upgrade roster option, like 5-10 bucks to get you the newest rosters if all they are doing is adding that to 14 and calling it 15 with such minor improvements as listed in that blog post.

I finished Lego Batman 2 Vita last night.  It's an interesting mix of the more recent versions of the Lego games.  It had longer levels like the console games have always had, but with fewer collectibles.  It also had a set of challenges that were completely separate from those levels which kind of made it like a lot of the newer Vita versions.  I will be interested to see how Lego Batman 3 is now to see how/if they changed things.

Unfortunately, kilik and I could not get the Near thing to work even though it seemed like it should have been.

I fired up TWD s2 Vita this morning long enough to get past the annoying recap shit at the beginning.  Early signs are Pete was right about the shitty engine in that one.  Loading or saving the game basically hangs.  I was hoping it would be fixed like the PS4 games seemed to be.

Thanks again for trying that a couple of times, still no clue why it didnt work.

I have to spend a lot of time collecting those lego pieces to unlock flash and lex to get all the collectibles and then beat the JLA stuff for the plat.

I finished the first chapter of The Walking Dead season 1 on Vita. Kind of cool. The game sure does hang up a lot, though. Especially during that extended scene at the motel. Every time you run to the truck/wall/rv the game hangs up for a bit. That was kind of obnoxious.

Question: can you skip the coming next scenes and the credits at the end of the chapter (by pressing start, then go to main menu) or will that not let you progress to the next chapter? I sat through all that for fear I'd mess it up.

You should go after the red brick multipliers early in those games. Once you enable those and play naturally, you rarely are in a spot where you can not buy what you need. I had to do some extra playing to get Lex unlocked, but not much.

Darkest Dungeon is out on Steam. Looks good.

Supposed to hit PS4/PSV this year.

I have never figured out a way to skip that garbage and it is annoying. I want to find out what happens by playing it the first time around. They really need an option for disabling that stuff.

Pro-tip: If you want to play season 2 at some point, don't delete that game from your Vita. I backed up the save to the cloud thinking I could download that to use for my choices from s1. It doesn't work that way since the Vita wont let you download the save without the game installed on the device.

Yea I didnt buy any of those until I bought the 2x one when I was almost done with the story mode.

Live and learn.

Yeah the engine is shit and doesn't improve at all in the coming chapters. Sometimes you'd hear talking while the scene is frozen or lips not moving and all the locking up bullshit.

Yeah, I have learned after playing a few of the Lego games. I never buy anything except multiplier bricks until I am done with the story. Usually, I will play the levels with the other multiplier bricks in free mode first to get those and turn them on too.

Holy crap, those menus...

That would make me drool too if I tried to play the game. I would have seizures from the silly menu system and would be a brain dead drooler after a few minutes. Just give me a simple boring menu system so it loads and responds quickly please.

Persona is the game where the characters shoot themselves in the head to get to some other reality or something, right? I didn't see any of that in that trailer, though.

Aren't JRPGs one of the two genres you hate?

Mailed it.

Persona 4 had a terrible menu as well, but at least it wasn't all moving around and shit. Why does a menu have to be like that?

It reminds me of the combat menu system for Demon Gaze. I thought it looked way too elaborate and expected it to feel and look terrible. It was fine, though.

Here's what that was like:

So I'm withholding judgement. Hard to take what's in a trailer and seen for a split second too seriously, IMO.
