Good evening to you all. Persona Team’s Hashino here.

Today, we presented a video for the long-awaited game. So, how did you like it?

As I write this now, I’ve yet to find out how you guys reacted to it, so I’m honestly feeling a little nervous thinking about comments like “the next Persona is about a phantom thief lol” or “is that Lupin!?” and such, but I’m hoping there are some warm comments out there. Even if there was a just little part you liked from it, it would make me really happy.

For this game, we’re going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone.

This time, it’s about a group of high school students that are being “chased” by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We’re writing [the story] to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting.

We, the team, are working together as we advance through development so you can enjoy something with evolved graphics and sound, along with party members that are just a tad bit more ill-behaved than what you’ve been used to up until now.

We all have so many feelings that are going into this title. While this is a product by Atlus that is known for its individualistic side, some say that a strong personality can break away from common rules and models… so it can be seen as a nuisance as well.

However, the way we see a person’s character, it can spread to others for good or for bad, and it can even change the way another would think or behave… and that’s the potential power we see in it.

We may feel some sort of suffocation in this world today, but as long as the world is comprised of relationships among humans, it is a person’s character, or a group’s character, that will provide the ‘power’ to destroy that ‘feeling of entrapment’.

I’m hoping that this title will shape up into something that can embody such feelings, and something that will remain in your hearts.

In order to meet all of your expectations, even just a little, the development team staff are working hard, so I’d like to say thank you for your continued support! (I will take a peek at comments from you all on Twitter, blogs, and such!)

Katsura Hashino,

Persona 5 Director and Creative Producer.

I would like to give a shout out to the
Cronos
boss fight in GoW 3.  It's epic and big and gross and disorienting and varied and pretty awesome.

What were you expecting? It gets more difficult in the later "worlds" and in the Pro levels.
Maybe some variety in the challenges? Something to hook me in the first couple levels and make me say ok well that's cool. Not "Score X points, do x trick, get x combo. Repeat for 2nd and 3rd levels."

Those do change up a bit as you progress to stuff like "Get X item and finish", "Do X spins and finish", and "Clear this gap", though you'll always have the "Score X points" and "Get X combo" ones in each level.

How do you get the "has been playing" in your name bar? That doesn't show up for me.

Most all of the fights against named opponents in that game were pretty epic. I enjoyed them all, but they seemed to up the production level of those fights in that game above the rest of the series.

Scroll over Games and then click on "Playing" under lists.

Be warned that you can't shut it off, as far as I can tell. I don't have anything under my playing list right now but it still says I'm playing Rogue Legacy.

Keep in mind that though they're all available on PS3, GoW3 was the only one main title intended for that system rather than being ported from older hardware.

I'm not counting Ascension as a main title because it's a prequel and, though I haven't played it, I can't imagine it having the same scale as the later games. Being a prequel puts an artificial limitation on it there.

Click on the Star under your profile picture to go to your collection, then click on the "Playing" or whatever it's called tab, then search for your game and add it.

EDIT: sorta tyler'd

Sure would be nice if CAG could show live data, but there's really not a way to do that for things that aren't being actively streamed.

God of War 3 is just pure epic all around. Fantastic game. Talking about 3 is getting me in the mood to buy the Vita collection.

I discovered last night, while verifying that Hephaestus was voiced by Rip Torn like I suspected, that they actually got Kevin Sorbo himself to voice Hercules. I thought that was bloody brilliant and bloody hilarious.

Buy? Did you miss 1+2 for PS3 being free digitally a while back? Those were cross-buy and if you got them the Vita versions are yours as well.

Thanks for pointing out something we all already knew and for adding in an assumption about a game you haven't even played.

It's also from looking at reviews of the game which confirmed that as well. Your point of "Wow, they upped the production values going from PS2 to PS3!" made me wonder if you were forgetting the obvious.

Ascension was no where near as good as 3.  But it was still epic and fun.  I had too high an expectation when I first played it.

I cannot wait for 4.

Holy hell.  The PS4 lacking hurts bad on this one.  Only $10 more than the regular game:

Preorder bonuses too:

"By pre-ordering MLB 15 The Show digitally on PlayStation Store or at various retailers, you will receive a free voucher for a DualShock 4 Skin for the MLB team of your choice from Skinit. Additionally, if you pre-order at GameStop — or EB Games, for those of you in Canada — you will receive the Skinit skin and six additional Bonus Item Packs for use in game."

I really hope it gives the franchise a shot in the arm. It has been one of the best Sony IPs, but Ascension seemed like it was them trying desperately to find any way to make a story to cash in on the past success. Up until that point, the main games really did tie in well together. Hopefully they do not make it into some stupid MMO type thing either.

started doing my destiny chores again to work towards the plat(finally). realized just how much i missed the game. ready to start raiding again!

That steelbook looks pretty cool. I wish I liked baseball more.

Thanks again for trying that a couple of times, still no clue why it didnt work.

I have to spend a lot of time collecting those lego pieces to unlock flash and lex to get all the collectibles and then beat the JLA stuff for the plat.
Does the same thing existing in Vita Lego Batman 3? Doesn't seem so but I am maybe 1/3 through that game and wouldn't mind sharing some of what I unlocked if it works with this game too. Been updating a few times a day in Uncharted GA and not finding anything. Occasionally finding a game present for games I Don't have but even that has been pretty sparse. Wonder if near is half dead already.

I'd love to know more about how movies get greenlit - like does whoever's presenting have to have financial data and analysis to back it up or do they just wriggle their eyebrows, nudge each other and say 'yeaaah?' over and over again until the movie gets approved and budgeted? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Budget $26 million

Box office $183.3 million[2]
