This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Nope, no Yellow Comic Sans. Flowette got his you-know-what (I dare not say the word) feelings hurt so now I can't discuss his continent.
Whore feelings disclaimer: I didn't report you for it, I just thought really, really hard about it.

And then I signed you up to the UKIP mailing list.

:whee:

Cataclysm is not included. Supposedly, the source code was lost. I think it was a different developer, also.
Yes, apparently it was "Barking Dog Studios." I guess that's one that didn't last. Weird.

Bought a ps4 to play it while I wait, looks like I will be getting 100% completion before it's released on PC. :wall:
Wow. That's about as anti-CAG as you can get. Someone will escort you to the door.

On the bright side, you're getting online heists FINALLY on March 10th. Only took a year and a half! :wall: (Yes I'm bitter I bought it for 360 near launch)

So I just ordered a laptop the other day that is finally suitable for gaming. It's still being built but I figured I'd start looking at Steam. Anybody have any recommendations for games, other than Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall (I love Shadowrun so they are on my list)? I literally have nothing right now so there's no need to not mention anything even if really well known or an older game. I primarily like RPGs (JRPGs are my favorite but I'm not opposed to WRPGs, dungeon crawlers, strategy, etc), Visual Novels, and retro type games (SNES is my favorite console ever so anything like that is open game for me) Thanks for any assistance.

Some people here have 2000+ games and still have wishlists that go into the hundreds, if not more. So, I believe the correct recommendation is...to buy everything.

Check out Sunless Sea.

And welcome to your addiction.

Just start buying bundles. You'll get more VNs, RPGMaker, and retro games than you'll have time to card farm, let alone play. Wait for the seasonal Steam sales to buy anything AAA.

Welcome aboard. Feel free to ask us any and all questions you might have, as it wasn't that long ago that some of us were in the same position you're in now.

About time we had a Spider-Man avatar user here. :bouncy:

Ha ha thanks. I guess my first question will be about finding bundles. I only see individual games on the Steam site. Do I have to visit other sites in order find the bundles and redeem on Steam?

As mentioned, keep apprised of bundles. within a month or two you'll have a Substantial backlog. Never buy games for more than 75% off unless you really want them. I've never been a big jrpg fan, but there's a Substantial crpg renaissance going on right now. You already mentioned shadow run, but some others to keep an eye on for price reduction are wasteland 2, divinity original sin, legend of grimrock 2 (the first one is worth playing and you should pick it up next sale). The fallout classic complete pack is typically around five bucks when on sale and features two if the best crpgs ever, and Baldurs gate enhanced 1/2 are both worth getting. All the other big rpgs are ones I'm sure you're already aware of if you're a console covert

I actually do have Fallout 1 and 2 from years ago but I can't remember where it is. Probably in storage. That Legend of Grimrock game looks excellent though.

I got the bundle with Hero Seige. Hammerwatch and Contagion look fun too so I spent the $10. Oh god the addiction has begun!
Soon enough, you'll be regretting past purchases that seemed like deals and hemming and hawing over whether to buy something because you missed the sale when it was 3 Metro Last Lights cheaper.

To be young and see that level of value in Humble Weeklys again. :-({|=

Hammerwatch being in the BTA really hurt that tier's value for me. Still on the fence about whether or not I want to get Damned from it.

So anyway, everyone from every continent is wonderful, great and amazing. Yes even you Antarcticans. Let's all hold hands and sing kumbaya and recognize that I'm okay and you're okay and we're all okay.
:grouphug:

I blame Gamersgate. Or Gamergate. Or both of them. Whatever. Everyone is super sensitive these days. Suppose we just refer to people by their latitude and longitude so that we don't have to use those offensive country names?

Question guys...

I got the following email from Steam:

Dear Steam User,

This is an automated message generated by Steam account administration. It is being sent in response to a query made by a Steam user to discover all account names associated with this CD-key.

If you did not request this query, please ignore this message – users cannot gain access to your account via the Find Account By CD Key process without access to your email account.

Does it mean someone is actively trying to hack into my account?  Or is it someone trying to figure out who grabbed a key?  Seems like bad form to me.

What do you guys think?  This some new hacking thing people are going for?  Do I need to change my password from p@ss1234?

Someone just tried to use a key you already activated, and in their bitterness over being too slow hit the button to generate that message to you.

You're the only one who gets that message - Nothing to be concerned about.
